I did not know that you could get service like this at an auto service center in Florida! My husband and I are both still talking about it and how fantastic it was - talk about exceeding expectations!. We were looking to buy a used F150 from a nearby dealer, we called this Midas and several other places to see if they could do a vehicle inspection (put it on the ramp, check it out, see if there were any major issues). Kevin was extremely knowledgeable on the phone, explained the 40 point inspection for only TEN dollars (I asked him to repeat that because I was sure I had heard wrong) - and I booked an appointment. I did call around other companies, got responses from sure, $29.99, to $45.99 to "uh, put it up on a ramp? What kind of ramp? Look underneath? - hey Joey, what would we charge to put something up on the ramp and look at it?" "huh? Whaddayojmean?"... so forgetting about the price, Kevins professional response was MILES ahead of all the others. He really sounded like he knew what he was talking about. Anyway, we took the truck in, left it with them while we went to lunch, and when we went back, he gave us a very detailed report. He didnt try to upsell anything, or scare us by saying "you gotta fix it right now, here!" - or try to get us to replace dozens of parts - he was VERY honest - pointed out three issues of concern - we discussed them with him - he didnt rush us, didnt pressure us - didnt tell us oh, you need new brakes, new rotors, new tires, new this - just told us what we would have problems with, what was serious (one issue), two not as serious issues - and that was it. He gave us a report, explained what he thought it would cost to repair all of them - and gave us his recommendations. We could not believe it - sincere - professional - genuine - honest - and all included in the 40 point inspection. He would have topped up the fluids too, although I think they were all good. OUTSTANDING! Kevin - you are a credit to Midas - thank you - we will recommend you and will come back to you if we are in the area, we promise. Even the dealer we bought the truck from was astonished at the report - he said wow, I NEVER thought youd get such an honest report - all these points are 100% accurate - Kevin was spot on with his report (he said most places will try to get us to replace a ton of unnecessary things) - so the dealer has Midass details and hopefully will refer customers there. Kevin, THANK YOU AND YOUR TEAM!

Worst place to bring your vehicle. The manager Jason was very disrespectful and the mechanics are inexperience and dont know what they are doing. Brought my car there for a coolant leak and a mechanical issue with my clutch engaging and disengaging. After my car was in the shop for two days without receiving a call from them, I decided to call and thats when they told me I need a slave clutch, master clutch and gasket for the coolant leak and it will cost $1300 to get them fix and replace so I told them to go ahead and fix it. After another four days I went the shop to get my car, upon receiving my car I realized my steering was hard to turn so I brought it to there attention and they told that the mechanic had to pull of the power steering pump to resolve my issues so I just need to drive it around for two days to get all the air out of the system. In a day after driving the car my clutch was stuck to the floor and my car was overheating and coolant was leaking worst so I call them they told me that the clutch just need to bleed some more so I should bring back the car. The car was towed to the shop, and after a day they say they are going to change master and slave cylinder clutch again. After receiving my car after 4 more days again, the steering was still hard to turn and they are telling me i just need to drive it for two more days to get the air out, while driving the car home my clutch was stuck to the floor again, my car overheating and my lights were not working. I had to get my car towed to a different shop were I found out that my master clutch cylinder was not install correctly and my car needed pressure plate and fly wheel. Also they remove my oring gasket from my power steering and never installed it back. I dont recommend no one to go to midas based on the experience I had they were very unprofessional.

Midas Tire and Auto Service, 1400 S Federal Highway Pompano Beach, FL 33062 Midas ruined my new 2015 cars oil plug and filter. There are inexperienced mechanics working here. It is common knowledge to not over torque these components but they tightened my oil plug with an impact wrench and rounded out the hex bit so it cannot be removed anymore. I took the car to another mechanic who did not want to touch the car after seeing how rounded out the drain plug was, and said a new oil pan will be needed since they tightened it way too much. I had to hire a professional welder to weld a new nut to the rounded out oil plug in order to change the oil. The oil filter was also over-torqued, causing sealing and additional leaking issues. The car now leaks oil and cannot be covered under warranty do to these mechanics errors. The car only had 10,000 miles on it when I first brought it in to Midas for a simple oil change, no other mechanics had touched the car since Midas did the oil change. This has now turned into a +$1,000.00 job. DO NOT TRUST THE MIDAS TOUCH!!! They WILL damage up your car with lazy mechanic impact wrenches on the wrong components. Something you will not notice until you bring back for routine maintenance.

I had previously been going through the dealer i bought my car from (carmax) for all my repairs. They replaced my struts and strut mounts while completely disregarding the control arm brackets which were damaged due to all the movement caused by the damaged struts and mounts. Making the replacement of the mounts pointless. I went to auto tech and body on dixie hwy and they told me I needed mounts. Finally I went to Midas. These guys were AMAZING! I dont know what these other people are talking about in these other reviews about the techs being inexperienced. My tech had 15 years experience working with chrysler! They immediately diagnosed my cars real issue! The control arm brackets!! Also, they were on the phone with my warranty company fighting for me as hard as they could. I know because I was listening in. The warranty company was not budging however. But thats a whole other issue. However, they let me know they had a credit card I could apply for and not have to pay a dime yet until my first payment. Which if i paid off the bill in 6 months there would be no interest! Amazing experience all around. Especially with such appalling lackluster alternatives.
