Let me start off by saying Ive been going to great clips for over five years and Ive never had a problem until yesterday. My normal person who usually cuts my hair Nini was not there so because i had a event to go to I just wanted to get a cleanup so I had somebody else do it. Well it did not come out to good there was a big chunk that had been cut off on the back of my head. So I went back the next day to see if they could fix the problem and thats when the real problems begun. I was told by the manager Denise that they write down everything in the book on what type of haircut you get and they were just going by what the book says well i tried to explain to Denise that I asked that new girl to scissored the top of my head not use clippers and basically she said that I did not say that and started insinuating that I was lying. After that I ask her for her name she refused to give it to me and she said if I did not leave she would call the police it was the most frustrating and embarrassing thing that had ever been threw. So just a word of advice if youve been going to Great Clips and have a special person whos been doing your hair do not switch are you could be very sorry. This was the store on 52 and Hays Rd Next to Publix. And again you gotta trust me on this one STAY AWAY from That Location unless you can get Nina. And the only reason i gave one star is because the web site will not post a review unless you put @ Least one star.Didnot think that was a good business policy either. UPDATE ! Owner called me and told me he would look into this matter and call me in a couple day to get my address for a full refund.. Still waiting, must be a very busy man with all the complaints i have been reading online about his store.

The worst haircut I have ever had !! The woman had no idea how to feather hair !! She chopped bangs straight across NO angle at all !! She has now ruined style completely !! The other stylist trying to explain shed do opposite it was very disappointing !!!I have been using another great clips for yrs. Tried this location because they are closer to my home but I wont go back to this one I will go back to us 19 I am not a complainer so I left. the 2 ladies knew I was not happy but still gladly accepted my money !! The woman who cut my hair made the comment I guess I need to go home and study feathering she had no clue how to layer or feather hair !! She should of said I cant do it Not Im trying to visual it!! The other woman knew how but for some reason only would explain what she was doing wrong she should of took over !! Now here I sit 2 mo. Later cant go get hair cut yet bangs have not grown out enough !!! My layers are gone and now I have to just wait it out very aggravated !!! I was under the impression all these ladies went to school for this !! I have had this same style since Farrah Fawcett in the 80s I have NEVER had to explain a layered feather to any stylist before this !! only how short to start angle Now theres no angle its chopped straight like bangs !!!

Ive been to multiple Great Clips locations throughout the Tampa Bay area, and I usually enjoy the experience, because its usually fast and cheap. However, This location is the opposite. My three most recent experiences at this location have been horrible. First, I had to sit in the chair as a woman who reeked of cigarettes complained about her ex-whatever. Second, a different woman chopped my hair off to the point where I probably could have done a better job myself with a set of clippers and a mirror. Lastly, I walked in to an empty seating area with two ladies cutting hair in their booths. One checked me in and advised that two other people had checked in ahead of me online and would get service first if they walked in. I waited 15+ minutes, by myself in the waiting area, and as a lady was being checked out and I thought Id get called next, one of the online check-ins walked in. He promptly was taken to get his hair cut, while I didnt even get a "Sorry, well be with you soon..." In the past, if I walked in before a check-in, I would get service before the check-in, if the check-in wasnt there at the time that I walked in, but not here obviously... Avoid this location if possible.

Horrible!! I was informed on Friday that I should come back Sunday and request a certain stylist, with that I wasnt upset at all..... in fact I was happy because my hair wasnt botched. So I go today, Sunday ( october 30th 2016), request the stylist. She proceeds to ask what I want, I explain shampoo, cut and blow dry. She replies with a sigh as well as slight attitude, she doesnt have time to blow dry as its really busy..... BUSY WHERE!!!!! Theres only 1 other guy waiting at that moment of time. So I say, ok dont worry about the blow dry I will do that myself. I sit wait a few mintues all the while thinking..... its a straight style how in the world is she going to if its cut correctly without blow drying my hair. BUMP this Im OUT!!!!! So sad..... once I have a bad taste in my mouth about a person place or thing I will never again repeat a visit. Thank goodness I didnt allow for a botched hair cut. I WILL BE CUTE. COM SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!

I agree. This place is hit or miss with the high turn over of inexperienced stylists. Im not picky about my hair because I know it will grow back but both my husband and I have been BOTCHED quite a few times. I solely use this place out of location convenience. My last visit I jumped out of the chair and left because the girl appeared clueless how to cut my hair, even after showing her the picture several times and she was extremely rude which happens often here. Normally I just suffer through the cut but this girl made me very uncomfortable. I highly recommend the other new port Richey great clips located near hobby lobby and the new walmaet grocery store. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!

I have gone here mostly out of convenience and its hit or miss. from my experience, avoid the stylists on the left wall. Both that I have encountered reak of alcohol and cigarettes. Both have no idea how to cut a fade. Because of my last trip, I had to shave my head it was so bad. I dont know what it is about this town and having horrible employees work in usually good quality chains, but spend the money in gas to go somewhere else.
