I went in last week and Jay took care of me, I really didnt know what sort of cut I wanted and he was more than willing to give suggestions based on what I was thinking of because i really didnt know what i wanted exactly. He is very precise and its obvious that he takes a great deal of pride in both his work and the customers opinion of it! I liked how it came out, but wanted to get it shortened a little bit today, so i went in and ended up getting basically an entirely new haircut that is simply the best haircut Ive ever had, and after it was done I went up to pay and they said that theres no charge because it was a "trim up" within a week of the first cut!!! I honestly feel guilty getting a new cut and taking almost an hour of his time for no money at all, but it really emphasizes how much they care about their customer satisfaction! I recommend Jay to everyone who wants not only a great hairstyle but a great conversation as well, this was hands down the best hair cut from the best stylist I have ever had, thank you Jay and thank you Micheline Salon, Ill definitely be back in the next few weeks for the same cut!

What I liked about Micheline was Jay Zengotita, but hes moved to Liquid Hair in downtown Lakeland off of Pine... I called and was not able to get info to where he moved to, which really disappointed me in some of the staff at Micheline since they knew where he went. :( I havent used anyone else at Micheline, so I cannot comment on their work. I just know that Jay is fabulous so Micheline lost a GREAT colorist and stylist when he left! I was very fortunate to find Jay again at Liquid Hair by looking at some reviews of Liquid Hair - someone had posted a really good review about Jay (no surprise) and I called and asked if it was the same Jay. He did a color correction on me today and a cut, and I couldnt be happier to have found him again!!! I just feel sorry for the clients that dont know where he moved to! :(

I have traveled to Vegas, Los Angeles, New York, and sat next to Janet Jackson, Cher....You get it..Well when I went into Micheline SalonSpa, and met Colin, along with everyone...I felt as if I was safe..S A F E...Colin said key words, "shape of head, shape of face, texture of hair, and yes we even talked about my age, and what would look youthful..As long as I live In Florida, I will drive to MICHELINE SALONSPA..Thank the Lord I live in Lakeland, not Miami..These people know their stuff, Not just Colin, AS GREAT AS HE IS...But every person in the employment is a professiional, and I would allow any one of them the work on my hair..Without question..It is a first class salon, and the best kept secret in Lakeland...GO PEOPLE!! All the staff were incredibly friendly, but Jay was by far the best. He cut my hair to perfection. Very professional, skilled, and turned my ridiculously terrible haircut into something unbelievably amazing :) I recommend all my friends to him.He makes everything relaxed and personal. As soon as I sat in the chair it was all about me and what i wanted and the steps we were going to take to get there. He even recommended some great products and techniques that would help me recreate the look. Great stylist, great cut, great place. I wouldnt go to any other salon. It was pouring rain when I left, and Jay went the extra mile to walk me to my car with an umbrella so my hair wouldnt get wrecked. Lets just say thanks to Jay, Im officially hooked!

I brought a picture of myself with my hair the way I wanted. I asked to have a precision cut on the enda around the perimeter of the hair, sides one length, long lengths in back of hair, stacked in back, and little texturizing except in stack area. The stylist did not listen. The stylist did what he wanted. He stacked my sides into 2 layers on the sides and texturized the hair. I complained as soon as I was done and was told they could nothing because he was a co-owner. They called him out and he felt he did a good job - again not listening to his clientele. I have no hair left to have another stylist to correct. Attitude change needed in salon or you may be losing potential customers.

I moved to Lakeland about 5 months ago and really needed another haircut. When we first got here I made the mistake of going to another salon in the area and got butchered. I was ancy calling yesterday (especially since I really needed one that day), but they were able to squeeze me in. Ive been to a variety of salons before and this one rates at the top of my list! Colin was very attentive to my needs and really worked with me to make the haircut I had in mind my own. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and would recommend them to anyone. All the staff, not just Colin, were very pleasant and seemed to take pride in their salon. They definitely have a new return customer!

As a long time client I find the staff and services at Michelines excellent. I go mainly for my hair and the products, but have also had my nails done and a massage. They are always professional without being stuffy. Since Michelines retirement Collin has been doing my hair and he is wonderful. If you explain what you want they strive to achieve that goal. The girls at the front desk remember how you take your coffee and are happy to get it for you. They are always prompt with your appointment time. Just be sure you book them in advance.

The experience was awful. They botched my hair and when I went in to show them my hair they were disrespectful and insincere. The management of the establishment presented themselves as pompous and egotistical and held no regard for customer service. Their ideas were the only ones that she would entertain. I not only paid a large amount for burnt hair, but I was treated like garbage and disrespected as well. I wouldnt send anyone to this salon, and I hope that you do not go either.

Was introduced to Micheline SalonSpa by Tonya who had an amazing haircut designed by Amanda. The salon in itself is an experience in itself with its Middle Eastern decor, a welcoming staff and a beautiful setting. The salon is also decorated with fabulous portraits and landscapes painted by Micheline herself. In addition to a great haircut, Amanda gave me a luxurious head massage to get my experience off to a relaxing start. What a unique and wonderful experience.

While the girl who cut my hair was nice, it was not at all what I asked for. I asked for something edgier, and even showed her pictures of what I wanted. She cut my hair shorter than she said she would and made me look like a toddler! I had high hopes since the salon had such wonderful reviews. It was very slow and honestly, they made me feel like an inconvenience. I will not be going back. I dont even trust them to fix my hair.
