I used the Jan Bellamy Team from Re/Max Experts in Lakeland to manage my rental home. My primary point of contact was Jake Bellamy. Jake was quick to get the house ready to rent and find renters but that is where my positive experience stops. He did not promptly respond to emails and it took multiple phone calls to get many questions or issues resolved. I also asked to use specific vendors for certain maintenance issues (pest control, HVAC, etc.) but they would contact their own vendors instead. They also charged me for services that I had already paid vendors for so I had to contact them to get refunds. While the above mentioned services were mediocre, I could have tolerated them if not for the issues that happened after the tenants moved out. They had the house cleaned and the paint touched up (with paint now left all over the trim). Jake said they had the carpets professionally cleaned but there were very obvious stains. When I complained about it he had another carpet cleaning company come out who got most of the stains out. Im highly doubtful it was professionally cleaned the first time. I also gave him a list of small items (i.e. chipped tub, doors off the track, etc.) that he never fixed and never wrote me back about until I contacted him a month later with another issue. Most importantly, he failed to notice significant damage to an exterior door cause by the tenant. When I contacted him about it he tells me its too late and theres nothing he can do. If he would have done his job to begin with then I wouldnt be paying for repairs out of pocket. If youre looking for someone to take 10% of your rent proceeds so you dont have to deal with a tenant but have to spend just as much time, if not more, managing your management company then Id recommend Jake Bellamy with Re/Max Experts. Otherwise, Id look somewhere else.

My experience with REMAX EXPERTS has been one of utmost professionalism, great service, and integrity. They have managed my property now for the past 4 years and each month I am provided with an accounting showing rental income, repair expenses, fees, and any other items. When repairs arise they contact me to make me aware of the needed repair, they follow up with an estimate and scope of work needed. They have a catalog of top notch repair people they recommend who are highly skilled and charge a reasonable price. As for tenants, they are diligent in screening tenants, maintaining, and taking care of tenant needs. I have been very pleased and I highly recommend them, if you need an experienced property management company.

Horrible customer service I called and called and sent numerous emails through a lot of different methods and could never get in touch with any one from here much less get a call back or an email just to say the property I was looking at had been rented. So, I drove down to their office to talk with someone face to face and the lady at the front desk was very rude to me. I wouldnt suggest using this real estate office for anything.
