Honesty and accuracy in diagnostics is very important to, me as a caregiver, who can no longer rely on my husband of 32 years to do our own auto repairs. Sadly, my husband has suffered major disabling health crises, and I have been taken advantage of by other mechanics. I happened to read a great review about Hoover and Sons, and when faced with an auto crisis, on the very day my husband was taken by ambulance to the hospital in an unresponsive state, Chuck made sure that the last worry on my mind that day, was my car repairs! He is generous in spirit, fair in business, honest, and accurate with diagnosing the problem, saving money by not doing work thats unnecessary. I will trust no one for an auto repair, big or small, again. Chuck, at Hoover and Sons has earned my trust, in honesty and skill! I just want to publicly say THANK YOU for your compassion and stellar work at an extremely stressful time. Please Do NOT confuse Hoover and Sons with the shop next door! I had a horrible experience there and see in reviews that others have too and seem to read Hoover and Sins sign and write a bad review on Chuck the most pleasant skilled mechanic Ive dealt with since moving to Florida.

DIY Mods

Im a car guy, and I performing all repairs myself, unless I need a lift, or Im just lazy to do something. Most of the places I seen, trying to rip you off, telling you some nonsense. They just assume that you do not understanding what they are talking about. Well, I do. However, at this place, I didnt show what I know and what I dont, and the owner gave me perfectly fair information and price. Places like this, should be number 1 in your car shop list. Since my first visit, Ill go only here, whatever Ill need, because they have a skill, they are many times awarded by car manufacturers, and they prefer to have a loyal customers for many years, instead of one time rip off as everybody else. Just go there, and let them do all you need. P.S.: Ill bring you my Z soon, to replace my trans. cooler fittings. Thanks for finding this issue on time!

I called and received an estimate to replace a heater core for $650, which is in line with another estimate I received from another shop. I told them I would think about it, and a few minutes later they called back and asked why i wanted it repaired; if I did not have heat, or because it was leaking. I told him it was leaking and he told me i could just cap off the lines to the heater and I would still have A/C, just no heat. It is an older vehicle so this was an easy decision. The part is not real expensive, it is just a lot of labor, so this shop gave away income to save me money. If you want an honest mechanic, look no further. This is my new auto repair shop.

This was first visit to Hoover and Sons, wont be my last. Chuck the owner is very pleasant to deal with and straight forward. They were able to get my a/c blowing cold on my van at a very reasonable price. They also were able to get my door locks working with just replacing a simple fuse. Thanks for the great service and for getting those locks working for me.

Chuck was friendly, courteous, and professional. I thought I needed brake work done, but he showed me that it was just rust on the rotors. He showed me my brake pads, gave me a timeline for when I should have them and the rotors replaced, and didnt charge me for the quick inspection. Will definitely be going back when I need the work done.

Hoover and sons did a great job identifying the electrical issues with my car and had it fixed the same day. I appreciated that Chuck kept in communication with me with what needed to be done, was very knowledgeable and provided great customer service. Great experience! The repair took a little long than expected but chuck communicated along the way & it was only to ensure he got the best transmission for my vehicle. Price was very competitive. Half of my previous transmission Repair.Would definitely recommend.

Rude Lying Mechanic. This place is horrible if you need a transmission. Especially as a woman. He told me he personally repairs them or he told my boyfriend and then come to find our it is a junkyard transmission or i can buy one from jasper.
