I was ready to give these guys a good review after this visit because I have been regularly taking in my girlfriends and my car for service and theyd done a pretty good job minus the time in shop which usually takes the whole day. Example 10 am appointments almost always gets me my car back by 5pm. Unfortunately this last trip was just ridiculous. I brought my VW in for service for my front cv boots and was called later on in the day and told that they could not find my wheel lock key. After I hang up a light bulb goes off in my head and I remembered that they just did my brakes so they were the ones who would of misplaced the key. I come in to tell them that and said Ill be back by the end of the day if they hadnt found key to pick it up. They didnt find it but I did overhear that it might have been used on another car that was in the last time it was in the shopv(didnt make since I thought the keys were unique maybe not) so the "plan" was to wait for that to come back in I guess. I told them Id be back tomorrow so they could retrieve another one and do the work then. No problem since I figured this was just a slip up and theyd do good work. I assumed that theyd replace the wheel key obviously since theyd lost it. When i came back the next day 12pm I decided to make sure that I was getting a new key because something wasnt sitting right with me after my convos on the phone with the supervisor. He looked at me funny and said "Well definitely use it to do the job... but" so I stopped him and said "Im pretty much screwed if I get a flat tire and your guys lost it". He looked a little funny an mumbled that hed get me a key. I got a call that it was done after 5pm and that one of the bolts was stripped on one side so I needed a new axle and that the one side was that was fixed was going to cost way more than 1/2 the price of doing both sides. I asked what accounted for the difference that was even greater than the extra hour of labor which he said would come from from doing the sides separate. I was told shop supplies. Oh and the coupon which I told him about after the original quote, was already factored into this bloated final bill which made it an even worse discrepancy than originally calculated. This is bad business all the way around. Just when I thought I found some pretty good characters. I do hear a little squeak on the right side of my car now so Ill have to have that checked out when I get the rest of the work done at another shop.

Dropped off my car with Scott, He said 1&1/2 hours. I started to drive back to shop 1&1/2 hrs later, while I was driving, I received a call from Scott letting me know he was just getting started and it would be ready in 45 minutes. Scott greeted me again when I walked in. He informed me that everything went fantastic and that he can see this car being a "quarter of a million mile" car and that he wanted to make sure it ran that long. He told me everything checked out good and specifically said that my brakes "arent even 50% worn" so I should be good to go. While driving home I noticed that when I used my brakes I heard a scratching noise. Over the next couple of days the noise only got worse so I called Scott . He said that there was some backing plate that was loose from when they checked tires and brakes. I went in at 9am and Scott was nowhere to be found. Fast forward 2 hours later, the technician tells me that I need all new brakes and rotors. He said I was given 50% off brakes and 30% off rotors and an extra 10% off labor because he wanted to make sure I was taken care of and he didnt care if he got in trouble for it because he wanted to do whats right. He then said it will only be $750 to get this done today What?! $750 to repair! I told the technician that I would not be getting anything repaired and I would like to come pick up my car. When I arrived he had the car ready. I told him days before scott told me the car was perfect. He apologized and said he wasnt there that day but he doesnt know what happened. Scott said he would get me financed and I wouldnt have to pay anything today. I told him that something shady was going on and Im not going to deal with them any more. I went to a shop where my father works(where I should have went to begin with) and they told me my brakes looked like they were months past due for changing and I would have had to of driven with them screeching and scratching for MONTHS for them to have gotten this bad! My father drove my car the previous week and confirmed the brakes were fine then! This is the shop that replaced my brakes and rotors 1 year prior and confirmed they were not the brakes and rotors they put on my care themselves!!!! DO NOT USE THIS MEINEKE! THEY ARE CON ARTISTS

Only place Ill take my car. Ive gone in about three or four times, and have always been treated with respect. The bad reviews absolutely have to be from before the current owner/staff. The one time I was unhappy with the work done, which I didnt even realize until weeks later, I called and spoke with Scott, the owner. They rushed to my work, I tossed them the keys, and they fixed up my car while I continued my normal workday. An employee came to pick me up when I was done with work. I asked him about his job and he had only good things to say about his boss and coworkers. He expressed to me how him and all his coworkers got along and that cars were more than a job for them, it was their passion. Businesses that practice the golden rule succeed. Scott has a winning formula and a winning team.

Price gougers. Tried to charge me over $1,400 for 4 low end tires, front pads and front rotors. I did my own pads and rotors for less than $200, and went to another shop and got better tires AND an alignment done to my car for right around $400. New owner doesnt act like he wants to work there and is rude and crass to every customer (I was listening to how he treated everyone else while my car was being inspected). Finally, they act like you dont know anything about cars and will try and take advantage of you--even if you do. There are too many good shops in Columbus to waste your time and money here.

Polite, efficient and easy to work with. They took care of my car like it was their own and took care of me like I was related to the owner (BTW-I am not). A very, very positive experience. Much better than with the previous owner/management. I live nearby so this is an easy location for me and my wife. They have been helpful and honest every time I have dealt with them...I highly recommend them. Gave them a 4/5 because there was one problem but they quickly offered a solution and went out of their way to correct the issue...everyone is human.
