Total Human Scum - They are the worst kind of mechanics, the kind that not only cant do it right but dont do what they say either. I called in for a quote and got one that came in under another competitor. I give him the particulars of the car and he quotes a mild steel unit (which is garbage when facing Michigan road salt). I ask about stainless steel and he quickly gives me a higher price, but about right. I ask if he plans to weld it and he replies that you cant weld stainless steel. I dont know if he is ignorant or a liar, but I should have hung up right then. I ask if he intends to use clamps then and he says yes (I could have clamped it, welding is the only good way to do it). Its my mothers car and Im just trying to get it done as a surprise in a limited time frame, so I bring it in anyways (Ignored my instincts). I get there and he is all friendly and I hand over the keys and walk home (I was in walking distance which is part of the reason I chose this place). I notice that there are only a couple of cars on his lot, which is funny since mechanics are usually slammed everywhere. The next day I get a call where he tells me that he really underestimated the size of the muffler and he needs another $60 for a more expensive one. I had priced the muffler online and his original quote with installation is double the Amazon part price. (Usually the sign of a fair shop/contractor that they quote double the materials as the price for the whole job (with in reason).) I know now that he is screwing me over for sure, except now he has the old muffler off and Id have to drive it around with no muffler to take it to another place. I agree to get it over with, knowing that Id post a bad review for a guy that cant weld and doesnt honor his quote. Then I get it back and take a look at their handywork... They didnt even use clamps, they J-B Welded it!!! They just cut off the muffler and jammed the exhaust pipe into a new one and packed J-B Weld into the gaps! My mothers mechanic confirmed that they didnt even size any part of the muffler right and asked if we had let some drunk uncle put it on. At that point theyd already gotten me. Everything was verbal and over the phone, so I cant prove they didnt do what they promised. But if that muffler rusts through in only a couple of years Ill know they used mild steel, and I have it on the receipt that it is supposed to be stainless, and then Im taking them to small claims. Hopefully Google will check their reviews for posting bots, since their high Google rating tricked me into giving them a shot. I still cant believe how bad they are and how little respect they have for their customers. This area is not the most affluent, and I would feel really bad for anybody living day to day that they would screw over like this. If you have to use them for some reason... just dont. Go to some auto store and buy some JB Weld and a muffler and do it yourself, since youll get the same quality.

I was slowly leaking antifreeze from my drivers side front end on my 2012 chevy cruze. Thursday afternoon I called various auto shops in my area because my usual mechanic was full up. The earliest anyone could get me in was the following Monday. I found Mr. Muffler in a google search and scanned each review carefully. I deduced from the reviews that this establishment was very reasonably priced, respectable, and honest. I called up, described my problem, and the gentleman told me to bring it by so he can give me a free diagnosis. I happily complied. I waited 5 minutes as the technician took a look. He came back and said I had a hole in my radiator and my lower radiator hose needed to be replaced. They quoted me near $600. I felt uneasy with the price and the attendant insisted this was the best price I would find. I decided to wait until my regular mechanic was free. I told my reg. The issue, and his inspection indicated my water pump needed to be replaced. A simple $150 job. Within a few hours I was back on the road and no more leak. I felt so insulted by Mr. Muffler that I had to write this review. PLEASE BE MINDFUL OF MR. MUFFLER AND THEIR DISHONESTY! I hope everyone sees this review and detours from this atrocious excuse of an auto shop immediately.

Talk about a neighborhood gem and right in our own "backyard"! I absolutely wish that this Mr. Muffler was a full service auto repair shop. Not only is the staff professional and well versed on all things cars, the staff is very genuinely awesome. Our most recent visit to this shop was my trucks need for brakes; however, my hubby has gone here previously for repairs on his vehicle. This particular Mr. Muffler location does excellent work, has great pricing and does their work freaky fast. My hubby highly recommends them to everyone he knows and he is very particular about who works on our cars. I for one used to be set in my ways with going to the dealership only until my hubby kept getting great results at a great price and then I just had to try it out and Im glad that I did since it saves our family money and time....also, the switch to Mr. Muffler was the least that I could do since Im not the one who has to deal with car maintenance...lol. Definitely do you and your car a favor if you are on the fence...try out Kozaks Mr. Muffler in Warren on Hoover and Im certain that youll be wishing that they could service all of your cars needs. Best wishes!!

Update 6/7/2016 Mark helped me out today and was super nice and helpful. Went in for AC check and he showed me what he was doing n how my AC was gonna be tested. Appreciate him doing that. Really shows that he cares for my car n my thought. Will continue to go here for car maintance Mark and John were great guys! Fast service and good service too. They were also able to help me with the price a bit too. only reason why i didnt give a 5 star is because the price was still a bit HIGH after talking them down a bit. just needed to flanges bolts and a gasket replaced and charged a lot more than i thought. But the two men were great guys and did help me a bit and so for that, i recommend them HIGHLY to you.

So I went into Mr. Muffler for a wheel alignment. I met Mark who was very approachable and respectful. While performing an inspection of my cars undercarriage, Mark walked me through every step of it. As it turns out, I had an issue that was more problematic than just a misaligned tire. He was very thorough in explaining what needed to be done and he was very very helpful with the price (which was much better than what I was told at other places). The crew of Mr. Muffler eventually put my car back in order and I have been very satisfied with the result. I am grateful for the work and helpfulness of Mark and the other members in the shop. I would easily recommend Mr. Muffler to anybody with car troubles.
