I will never forget the generosity shown to me by Matt from One Call Auto Mechanic. To begin, Im a relatively poor college student and was having some problems with my car this week. After a nightmare experience at my usual car repair shop (waited 3 and a half hours to try and get a wheel balancing and alignment after being told itd be no more than an hour, before finally being told they couldnt do the alignment because of two heavily corroded rear control arms), I decided to do some research online to find another shop, and found One Call Auto Mechanic, whose outstanding ratings despite the large amount of reviews shocked me. They did not disappoint. Matt took a look at my car, diagnosed the same problem as the last shop in less than 15 minutes as well as another that they didnt notice (rotors and calipers of my rear brakes not working properly), and then offered me a very reasonable quote. Unfortunately, this is where my poor college student situation comes in. The repairs needed were just about $60 beyond what I could afford to pay after taxes. I explained the situation to Matt, and offered to drive home to get some extra money from my parents to pay for the repairs, but Matt instead said that he would pay the difference himself. This type of generosity on its own would warrant a 5 star review from me, but even if you arent hurting for cash, this really is the place to go. As I noted early, Matt and his co-worker Tyler work very quickly, Matt showed me what was wrong, even showing me the heat damage that my last shop did to one of my control arms when they tried to do my alignment the day before, and even brought out the faulty parts to show me why they needed to be replaced. All in all, I paid a little over $400 for two rear control arm replacements and rear brake work, and he even threw in an oil change because he noticed that I was way overdue! I would not even hesitate to recommend Matt and One Call Auto Mechanic to anyone I know. I plan on coming back for my next oil change as well as to donate some of my books to their waiting room as a token of appreciation for the generosity Matt has shown me. If you see a half dozen Calvin & Hobbes collections on the book shelf, then youll know that I came back!

Recently my car began misfiring. I tried the recommended steps like replacing the plugs and wires, and even trying a new ignition coil. When this failed I reluctantly conceded that I would need to take it to a shop to be diagnosed, but didnt plan on having the shop do the work. Im a shade tree mechanic, no formal training. I generally hate professional mechanics. 95% of the time you go in to a shop and find a fat redneck behind the counter. Who cant even give a proper greeting let alone spare you the ritualistc raping of your wallet by scaring you into doing unnecessary repairs.....but One Call is the exact opposite. Before I even made it in the door Matt Bayati came out to greeted me in the parking lot with a genuine smile, even held the door when we entered the building. He was very friendly and listened attentively while I detailed the symptoms. I then went and sat in his neat and tidy waiting room and enjoyed a fresh cup of coffee from his Keurig machine. Literally within 15 minutes Matt came back and said that the problem was my ignition control module and that one of my ignition coils was working only intermittently. He quoted me $210 plus tax. Firestone wanted to charge me over $500 back in 2007 for the ignition control module alone. I ended up doing the work myself and paid $125 for the control module and igntion coils run about $30. So you can imagine my surprise when Matt came back with such an honest figure. I could have easily done the work myself but the price was so right I told him to do the work, which his crew did with lightning speed. Spent less than 2 hours waiting. I no longer fear having to seek help from professional mechanics because I have Matt and his crew. GO TO THIS GUY! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!

If there were a sixth star it would be filled in. Matt and his team are truly excellent mechanics and people as well. I came needing a front brake job (pads and rotors) after being quoted at a local shop for nearly $400. Matt stuck to his word and his business motto and told me he would do it for $290. While fixing my car he found the calipers were bad as well and needed to be replaced. Matt called to let me know he would replace them just for the cost of the parts totaling $440 for everything, which would have been $600 at the other shop. After the job was done, Matt took my car for a test drive (which some mechanics wouldnt have even done) and noticed something didnt feel right. At this point he called me in and showed me the brake line was rusted and leaking. As I a sat there and watched him replace my brake line my stomach began to drop thinking about what all this would cost, seeing that brake line replacements can run upwards of $200 dollars. Matt spent an hour and a half past the time of the brake job fixing my car all to tell me he was doing it for free! Overall my experience here was beyond superb. No one goes into situations like this expecting such a positive outcome, and I would have never fathomed this one. Matt saved me hundreds of dollars and did it out of his pocket, while maintaining his highly positive and energetic personality the whole time. They dont make many mechanics or even business owners like Matt anymore. The most important takeaway from my experience is the sense of TRUST I have gained in this establishment and their work. What goes around come around. Oh, and did I mention he also rotated my tires for free!

I have been to One Call Auto Mechanic several times but let me add never for the same issue or a related issue :) Each time I have visited and had work done I have left 100% satisfied. It is never enjoyable to have to pay to fix vehicle problems but its even worse to leave feeling like you have been taken advantage from or the shop will did just enough to get you by. At One Call I am oddly happy to pay for the services. The prices have always been not only competitive but on the lower side of the national average! I have had minor fixes to a complete transmission rebuild (f150 with 240+ miles) done by Matt and his crew and they are honest, helpful, and QUICK! I have had other things fixed on vehicles over the years and always regret it when I dont go to this shop first. (usually do to location convenience) I have learned it is at lease worth a phone call and usually always worth a towing fee to get it to these guys! Look at the reviews for yourself! I have recommended these guys to others who also have great stories. One being, I had a friend from out of town visiting and his car started going crazy as he rolled into Columbus for the day (work trip). Matt worked his schedule to fix my friends truck that day while he went and did his business meetings. There was one part that had to be ordered and Matt, at no extra cost, rigged a temporary fix for him to be able to get home and even showed my friend what part to order and how to fix it himself when he got home!!!! talk about customer service!! Anyways, I could go on and on.... great customer service!
