I was going to this salon pretty consistently for 2-3 years and then recently for the last year in a half, I had moved a little further away and so I decided to go to my nearest super cuts in Kendall instead just to do the basics and cut my dead ends. My color didn’t need much attention because I would go to sally’s and just do a soft black tube and had let me hair just rest with the dark color for it to become long and healthy; which indeed it did. I wanted to go lighter to a soft honey color and I decided to go near my home area and go to a really well known 5 star (well reviewed) salon that rhymes with “SAL MITCHELL” near dadeland (phase 2 Beautician, being overlooked with instructors and licensed colorist specialist ect..) LET ME TELL YOU my experience there was BAD, horrendous and note to anyone out there, stay away from them, you will be their guinea pig as they will have you sign a waiver going in.. so with the request to go honey brown, they suggested a lightener which for short is bleach. They left it on my hair for too much time, they applied toner 3x to lower the color level and it was still very ashy and orange, extremely mushy/gum like, stringy and it would also stretch and break off very easily, basically it was FRIED and dead. I left that salon depressed, almost wanting to cry and yes I paid for the services I had no other option due to the waive. My hair was waist length and I left with it at my bra strap level because the tips were horrendous. For 4 days I soaked my hair in conditioning products, olive oil treatments, and almost damped in leave smoothing oil to make it appear less frizzy. It was BAD and I would just pick it up. Finally decided I needed to fix the problem so the only person I trusted to touch my hair at this point; immediately was extreme beauty salon with the owner milly. I went and immediately she helped fix the damage; she advised that it was really bad, for we needed to cut off all the fried dead, damaged hair and start from scratch so my hair can become healthy again. She was able to help me pick out a light chocolate brown color which was dyed by (yadira blond stylist) and the color came out beautifully, they also suggested that due to the severity of the damaged hair I would maybe consider doing a keratin treatment to close the hair cuticles, avoid frizziness from previous hair damage/dryness, and also to keep the hair calm and manageable so I can avoid as much as possible all heat tools; I decided to do the treatment. Shortly after miley did my cut and we went extremely short to a A line BOB, I have received so many compliments that it came out beautiful and very stylish and I seriously cannot complain. I have never let anyone cut my hair this short and I was so pleased that now it’s an option to consider if I ever wanted to go short. Overall I left the salon feeling like a hundred bucks, my hair was so silky soft, beautiful color and LOOKED NOTHING LIKE IT DID BEFORE GOING INTO THE SALON. I was so pleased with their work and I feel like my hair is at its best when I go there. I have also tried in the past their leave in conditioner treatment and let me tell you it’s amazing, so that will definitely be my next appointment. I cannot express how well this salon works, and how professional they are but at the same time give you a homie feeling, they pass around Cuban coffee, small snacks for their guest, they have music playing and try to get everyone involved in interesting conversations. I will recommend this salon to anyone I know, and I trust them with my hair eyes closed and her team is amazing. *Also and FYI they are typically always booked, I will suggest to anyone call and make an appointment and also clear out your day, they do run on appointments primarily from what I notice to give their clients 100% attention so they can leave satisfied.

I bought a groupon for SILK EYE LASH EXTENSIONS and as you know eye lash extensions are silk or mink lashes attached to your eyelashes one by one NOT your eyelid. When I went to the salon to have my eye lash extensions put they told me it was a groupon for the flitter eyelashes not the one thats one by one eyelash so I assumed they were attaching more than one lash to my natural eyelashes but instead they glued fake looking lashes to the skin of my eye lid and when I told her to remove them because that is not what I wanted and it felt so heavy and itchy she said I could not because itll rip my natural eyelashes off so of course I got upset and left. After I left there I called many eye lash extension places and finally found one to remove the mess they did to me and of course they told me that what they did was not what your suppose to do and honestly what upset me the most is how can someone put a product on a person and then not be able to remove it? That alone tells you how UNPROFESSIONAL this salon is. I will never recommend this place to anyone. The whole experience was terrible. Another big thing was while she was doing my so called "eyelashes extensions" she was talking to another women that works there about personal inappropriate things very loud in Spanish while that women was waxing doing someones eyebrows. Who knows what she did to that womens eyebrows. If I could give this salon NO STARS I DEFINITELY WOULD.

I like the effeciency of the mani pedi edeiny didnt know english but that was fine she was good she did nip me and made me bleed on my big toe but then again when i do them i bleed too. I am a black girl and yes it was a little awkward since it was just hispanic girls but i was seen too quickly and the job was done professionally. I dont think i will go again here though. The mani was done too quick with the same level of work i can do at home with my own hands but she nip alot of dead skin which i appreciate very much but the nail polish on one hand is already falling off but the nail polish was opi so ...yeah. the pedi was a standard one althouh i asked for the spa one. But i didnt complain for the fact that i was charged cheaper that what was asked for gave edieny a $10 tip which she didnt think she was gonna get. I like her because although i bled she immediately apologized and sprayed antiseptic on the wound. And she was not afraid to get rough on my nails. I prefer roughness(not pain) because my toes rarely get treatment from me so cuticle overgrows leaving me annoyed when i have to take care of them. Thats why i left the tip. barely words between us but i didnt mind because i really bad at talking anyway.

NOT EVEN WORTH ONE STAR!! I was really thrilled to find a place that did cheap acrylic nails; however, after this experience I will go back to spending more for my nails. I had to wait a week to get an appointment. On the day of my appointment the receptionist called me twice and rudely spoke to me about being there on time because the place was hard to find. After arriving at the location the place was a mess. There were construction workers there during my appointment and there was not nearly enough space to walk around. If this isnt enough the lady who did my nails only spoke Spanish. Horrible, horrible, horrible. Avoid this place like the plague. Not to mention two days after I got them done the nail polish was already coming off on three different nails. Such a waste of time, money, and frustration.
