Two weeks prior to having Dee cut and color my hair, I had a lengthy half an hour consult with her. She suggested a couple of subtle changes to my then-current style (which I loved). Rather than an all over color, she suggested very heavy highlighting. Not being a professional myself, I agreed, after asking quite a few questions, as I have natural blonde hair. Then I booked an appointment for said hair cut and color. During the consult, Dee took extensive notes on what I wanted. When I sat in her chair for the cut and color, we again went over what I wanted and what her suggestions were. She then went back to mix up the color for the highlights. She did a heavy all-over highlighting of my hair, including the ends, which were very fragile, due to sun exposure, prior coloring, etc. I then sat under the dray for 25 minutes. Then the shampoo and the cut. As Dee began to cut, I began to panic inside. It appeared that she was cutting off more than we agreed to - I have short hair already, and she cut off 2 1/2 inches - which was not what we had discussed. Then after she dried and styled my hair it was obvious to all that she had done far more than I had asked and far more than we had agreed to. I did say something to the owner as I paid and left - very unhappy. The next day I called to followup and the owner agreed to refund the cost of the cut only. I took that offer. UPDATE: Once I returned to Norfolk, VA, I consulted with my regular salon. I got two unbiased opinions - one from my regular stylist and one of the head master designer of the salon. Neither stylist consulted with the other, but both came with the same opinion - as a result of Dee at True Colors Salon and Spa overprocessing my hair, she tried to cover up her mistake by restyling it and cutting off the damaged ends - 2 1/2" worth! And not only had she tried to hide her mistake but she had cut my hair unevenly, leaving blatant "chunks" showing. I had to have a restructuring treatment and a conditioning mask applied by my home salon, and then my hair was cut (just a teeny bit) to even out what Dee had done. I will NEVER return to True Colors Salon in Vero Beach, FL. They are one of the shoddiest salons that I have ever been too, and their lack of integrity is one of the main reasons. If you make a mistake, own up to it, admit it to the client. I may have been upset, but at least I would not have been so shocked at the end result.

I went to True Colors Salon & Spa on February 1st, 2014. I received a gift certificate for a complete spa day as a Christmas gift from my family. My day started at 10 am with a massage with Janet & she did a wonderful job. I was in complete relaxation mode when the massage was over. I then went to Diana for a facial. I was honestly a little hesitant as to the outcome only because of a bad past experience at another salon, but she did a fabulous job. She was great with suggestions as to help my skin and the facial almost put me to sleep. Next was the manicure/pedicure with Karen. My nails and tootsies look awesome..I have very ticklish feet, so I normally dont get pedicures, but Karen had a great touch so I was very comfortable during the whole pedicure. I then had an awesome salad for lunch that Courtney ordered from Penny Hill Subs.. Courtney is awesome!! She always makes sure you feel extremely comfortable at all times. Finally I went to Melanie for hair and make-up. She was very thorough in making sure exactly how I wanted my hair cut and she made awesome suggestions. Hair cut came out perfect!! She also did my make-up and it turned out beautiful.. I will be honest and tell you I couldnt remember everyones names, so I had to look on there website..but I will be sure to return for pampering in the near future!! This place is it! I was amazed the first time I walked in because from the outside, it looks like a small store front in a shopping plaza on Old Dixie in Vero. Inside, it is a full service salon! Every time I walk in, they ask me if I want something to drink, from a bottle of water to a glass of wine. They make you feel pampered as soon as you set foot in the door. I started with a pedicure, but now I get my hair cut and colored, pedicures and massages all at True Colors. I had a massage last weekend, and it was incredible! I cannot stop raving about this place. I love my hair! I love True Colors! Oh, and I cannot leave without buying a piece of their fun jewelry up front. I get compliments on my watch daily! Thank you ladies!!!

Wow, I am always so nervous about going to get my haircut, I brought in a picture and she did exactly what I wanted ! It is hard to get a perfect cut when you get an edgy bob, but she did so GOOD>. She asked lots of questions and did perfect, I had my baby with me because I could find a sitter and they were so nice about it. It was so cheap too ! I will definatley be going back for color and trims ! I will never go anywhere else. I use to travel to Jacksonville to go to my old hair dresser because I didnt trust anyone else ! It looks a little shabby on the outside, but inside is beautiful and clean, they offered me water ad coffee. They were so great !I Cant say enough good things :)

First time getting a massage at True Colors, better yet first time getting a massage anywhere coming from a man perspective, it was very nice and the staff was super profesional!! The Salon and Spa was very clean and made you feel welcome even being a first time male in a Salon and Spa, The free massage was great and very relaxing!! They offered me the upgrade my free massage for $10 for a theraputic massage and it was truly awesome, only thing I would have liked better was more of a deeper and firmer massage, I guess from a mans aspect more pressure on the muscles would be better not as fragile as some of the ladies, but other than that absoulte great experience!!

What could I say about this place, true colors salon and spa is AMAZING! Im a forever faithful client here I would definitely recommend this salon to anyone. They really put your interest first, and treat you like a queen. I have gone here for numerous pedicures manicures hair cuts and coloring. Today I received a therapeutic deep tissue massage and it was absolutely what I needed. Let me tell you I have had a couple of massages before but this one was by far the best one. (Of coarse I didnt expect nothing less than good from them) Renee did an absolute amazing job. Also there remodel is fantastic.
