OMG! THIS PLACE ROCKS!! Firestone quoted me $1598 to fix my broken auto A/C. Said I needed both fans replaced as they were connected and also the high pressure hose. Since I have a Saturn, they could only get parts from the dealer. (Last part would be true if the fans really needed to be replaced.) Went to local A/C repair shop, $600+. He never mentioned the high pressure hose, wanted to replace one of two fans not moving. He told my hubby if he moved the car, the engine would blow up! (LMAO) Checked online, found the ad for AAA Radiator and Air Conditioning. My husband called, described what the problem was based on Firestones assessment. The owner told him that this is a common problem with Saturns, the fans are NOT connected, that probably there is nothing wrong with the fan as it stops working when there is no freon and that they make their own high pressure hoses. Told my husband it would be $175. Can it be???? We decided to take a chance based on the reviews and my husband set out to be first this Saturday morning. We live in Kendall so it was a bit of a hike but would be worth it if all the hype was true. My husband was greeted with a handshake from the owner who remembered my husbands phone call from 2 days ago. He was first in line which included an Audi and Mercedes. They offered to drive him back to Kendall until the car was ready. The waiting room had Netflix so he was happy to wait. He started chatting with the Audi owner who lives around th corner He told my husband during the week, there is a line down US1. They made the high pressure hose, topped off the freon Final bill with tax: $187.25. Coincidentally, I saw a coupon from one of those daily coupon deal-ers which I DECLINED to buy in case my husband did not like what he found upon arrival. You paid $50 for $65 off any service. Since it was our first time there, didnt know what we were going to find so didnt buy the coupon. Now I know. Next time Ill buy the coupon. In that case, it would have been $172. Oh and my husband said the A/C is now so cold, the steering was cold too! Highly recommend.

For reference [2007, Mazda 3 S Hatchback] Went to another place to get a quote. Was told that my A/C belt and the compressor would need to be changed and dye would have to be added to see if there was a leak. They told me it would cost at least $700-1000+. Made an appointment here for 8am. I came in the next day, (I was actually like 30 minutes late). They pulled my car in within a few minutes, checked it out. I told them what I thought was wrong, (A/C made loud noise when running, ran somewhat cool and zapped more power from the car than it should when turned on) they told me the solution. Compressor and dryer needed to be replaced. Quoted me $395 and 1.5 Hours. I was out of there in about an hour and after taxes it came out to like $401. The only problem now is that the A/C is working so well that even on the lowest setting the A/C is freezing!! Haha. I will update if anything happens before the 6 month warranty. Tip: Get there before 9 or try to make an appointment. They are quick but they already started to get busy after 9-9:30am. Update 6/18/15: Got into my car the other day and the A/C wasnt blowing cold air AT ALL. Before I got the A/C fixed it would at least blow somewhat cool air. I drove for over an hour with the A/C on, with me changing through the A/C settings every 10-15 minutes. It still blew just regular air, I dont recall hearing the compressor come on either, but I wasnt paying attention to that though. Im really hoping they didnt just fill up my car with R-134a and charge me $400.. Ill be coming back ASAP, maybe tomorrow morning.

Went to this place yesterday on advice from my mechanic. Place is really busy, and now I know why. Went inside and asked how long of a wait to have my truck looked at, and was told 30-40 minutes. I asked when they opened in the morning, she said 8:00 Am, I informed her I could not wait and I would come back in the morning. The nice lady said hold on a second. She took me out to who I think is the owner, and he said give me a second. One minute later he said pull up here, and instructed a mechanic to check it out. Let me back track for a second, my air conditioning barely blows any air when on max a/c and has been this way for 2-3 years. 2 mechanics said they could not figure it out, and these are pretty good mechanics. Summers have been hell for me, and now I was at the right place. I told the mechanic of the problem, he immediately removed my glove box, saw the air intake clogged with dirt, blew it out with an air hose, then hooked up the machine to my truck and recharged the air. A/C blows ICE COLD, and blows air very hard now. I had to turn it down a block away from leaving. And it was very hot out. When done the owner said 40 bucks man. I handed him 45 cash. I was in and out of there in 15 minutes. UNBELIEVABLE!!!

I found this shop in 2005 when we had a 94 accord and the AC compressor went out and the dealers wanted $2k to fix it. My dad was ready to get rid of it. I then called these people and they said $375 to fix it. So I drove down all the way from Cocoa Beach, FL. I couldnt believe it, in 1.5hrs or less they took out the old compressor, put in a rebuilt one and Freon and what else and I was out the door for $375. That lasted 5 yrs. I went down and redid it again. It was a Honda Accord so its still running at 250k miles +. I also took there my dads MB for some thing w/ AC, it cost about $250 vs $1000+ at the dealer. I recently took there my moms VW Jetta, same problem w/ compressor. This time I opted to put in the VW OEM compressor so it was $450 out the door vs $375 for a rebuilt one. All I had to do was call and talk to Roy. Hes a straight shooter, always honest, professional, and courteous. When you tell him the yr and model of the cars, hell tell you the price before you even finish the sentence. I highly recommend him.

This is my 2nd time visiting this shop. I first went 7 years ago when the evaporator went on my Beemers AC. The same owner (Roy) is still there and still running the place with a keen eye on everything thats going on, and let me tell you - this place is the busiest shop in town, especially if your AC dies in the Miami summer sun! But regardless of how busy the place is, get there as early as you can (I got there at 8:10am) as the later you go, the busier it gets. The guys who work for Roy are all great as well. Junior greeted me as I drove up and within 10 minutes, was able to pinpoint and show me the problem with my AC. It was the evaporator again (they seem to last 7 years) but I also had a leak in the compressor so I just opted to have both replaced so I wouldnt have to worry about having a future issue when the compressor finally died. I felt I was treated very fairly price-wise and certainly by Roy and his crew of well-qualified service men. I would recommend this place, hands down, for any issue at all with your vehicles AC.
