Watch out for the dishonesty here! In September of 2009 I moved from Orlando Florida to Cleveland, Ohio. At that time I expressed my written desire to end the month to month contractual agreement with Planet Fitness (PF) Ocoee, FL. According to the terms of the agreement, it was my right to cancel the agreement at any time. I have not stepped foot inside the gym location since October of 2009. I have made numerous attempts to send notification of my address change. Communication efforts included, written notice, via fax and the US Postal Service and numerous phone calls. After exhausting all forms of communication, I had only one last resort. Launch a full on social media assault on this PF Ocoee, contact the BBB and demand they refund my account. I attempted to stop automatic monthly charges from my American Express account of $10.65 by contacting my credit card company. American Express honored my wishes and mediated the situation. However, the payments were only delayed and picked up again the following month. American Express sent me the PF Service Contract on file. This was as if to say, "we have you in our files and you have the obligation to pay us." I have no obligation to these people other than they have permission to rob me of $10.65 ever month. II have been automatically charged $10.65 monthly despite not using PF services for over 22 months. The total charge for unused services is $234.30 --- total BS.

So here is the story, I had been a member of Planet Fitness for almost 5 years until recently. I have always had a good experience the price was great and the people seemed down to earth until I got to the Ocoee location. I have visited many of the central Florida locations and started attending Ocoee location until I met their head manager. To make a long story short I was forced to leave the location because of the unprofessionalism of the manager. This manager didnt like the exercise I was doing and grabbed the bar while I was curling; thats just the tip of the iceberg. As I expressed my disagreement with him he than went on to say, "I got you bro." while raising his voice and pointing at me. Something a manager just shouldnt say or do to a member. Yes I was not happy with what he did but I did not curse him out nor did I threaten this guy. Beware the price is great but Ocoee location is the worst location that I have ever been to. If you ask me I just would leave Planet Fitness as a whole alone even the management that followed up didnt handle things well. I have found a new gym and my wife and I are very happy there. Many gyms have great specials going on look into them before settling for Planet Fitness and again this is my opinion after being a member for so long.

Well, as far as my experience goes. The staff has been genuinely, very polite and cheerful. As well as being up front and honest about pricing, helping me find the best deal, and plan that worked for me. Any gym will be crouded at certain times, but to my surprise, in the morning I havent had any wait what so ever for A machine. You use very well maintained machines and get a free personal trainer. Some people complain about the smallest stuff. Every place has its ups and downs. Ive been to LA Fitness, Lifestyles, YMCA, down to my local Rec Center. The only complain I have is the dumbells only go up to 75p. And as far as the "clunk alarm". the weights are ruber coated and the floor is matted. Good luck making that thing go off. I think the place is great. Ten dollars a month, cant beat it. If you need a swimming pool, racket ball, play ground, and all the bells and whistles. Join the YMCA. But if you want a nice clean place to work out with good company. Planet Fitness in Ocoee a good place to start in my opinion.

They lied to my face! I signed up online, and when I got to the Ocoee location they decided that I could use my visa debit (to which my checks from my job are direct deposited) as payment because there "system" cant process the payments so they would have to cancel my membership. One of the girls behind the counter then stated, and I quote "We should really tell people upfront that we cant take this form of payment, its embarrassing". Problem with that, is the fact that I was there with my friend about 3 weeks prior when he signed up, and he is paying with the same method they told me wouldnt work. Either this place is staffed with people that dont even understand the tech they work on, or they are flat out liars. Either way I will never recommend nor step foot in another Planet Fitness ever again. Signed: A loyal patron (or at least I tried to be)

This is one of the best Planet Fitness locations in the greater Orlando area. Its pretty big. The staff is friendly, professional, and helpful. The equipment is good, but the weights are a bit low once you reach the intermediate levels. Thats okay though because Planet Fitness is more of a beginner gym anyway. They have plenty of treadmills and other cardio machines. The place is kept clean. You usually dont have to wait for your machine or weights unless its rush hour, and even then, not so much. Of course, the pricing is great and the hours are great even though I do wish they were open longer on weekends because thats when I prefer to work out most.

After having a bad experience at the metrowest location, I came here with my daughter and let me tell you...it was a delightful experience. Jasmine and Adam were so helpful and very professional! Kudos to these two employees for having great customer service skills! As soon as we walked in, Adam greeted us with a smile and a welcome to planet fitness! Thats the warm welcoming feeling every customer wants! The gym is nice and clean! I had the privilege of using the tanning bed which was clean and the amazing massage bed! Not all locations have this but it was a plus! I think this gym deserves a 10 for outstanding service !!!

Just go in and check it out for yourself. You will see the employees sitting around on the desks in front, eating , playing cards, basically bored with life in general. Then the manager is a real treat, basically entertaining the employees with his sad card tricks. Very unprofessional. But hey, if you just want to go in and exercise on your own, cheap, this is the place for you. Just dont expect any customer service. Just take care of yourself by cleaning the machine before you exercise. The place isnt real clean and the employees dont monitor the self cleaning policy.

Dont know why some many people have reviewed this place so poorly. Its a fine gym and super cheap. They dont have good person training or any sort of classes but you are only paying 10 dollars a month. If you just want simple place to use some weights and machines this place will do nicely, however if you need a personal trainer, yoga and spin classes go some where else. As for the guy who moved away and had trouble cancelling the only way to cancel not in person is to send a certified letter, guess he/she couldnt figure that out.
