I have fears of calling repair service technicians because you never know what to expect. I called Doc Watts based on reviews on the online Yellow Pages and found the raves to be well-deserved. It might seem weird to be asked to send a pic by text to the tech before he came out, but I was assured by the service rep that this was to save me time and to make his trip more efficient. Based on what he saw in the picture I sent, the tech picked up parts on the way to my home, in case he needed them, and was able to replace the breaker and test the panel in well under an hour. He also handled my landlords numerous (and repeated) questions without complaint and with the utmost professional demeanor. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing electrical repair or other services in their home or business. I will certainly be keeping their number handy in my new home!

I had heard that the federal government issued a message of caution to homeowners with Federal Pacific electrical panels which were commonly installed in homes built from the 60s-80s. When a circuit breaker gets overloaded and overheats, the breaker is supposed to trip, shutting off to prevent a fire, but some of the breakers do not work correctly. Federal Pacific is no longer in business. I hired Doc Watts Electric Inc to replace my panel. They were completely professional, efficient, and maintained the agreement/quote. They only sold me what I needed, and I didnt feel any pressure to do otherwise. I would completely trust recommending them and would hire them again.
