I had purchased groupon for "full-highlights, Cut, Shampoo and style". I did not have a good experience at this place. I had appointment with Joyce, and she pretty much did a really poor job. I believe, the reason for poor job was the fact that I had a groupon voucher. I am an Asian with dark hair, and have had number of highlights done previously. When I went, Joyce told me that she will NOT bleach my hair (and I was like.. what???). Her response was, that is going to make your hair look like overcooked spaghetti. I understand that bleaching your hair takes away texture; but someone who has paid to get highlights should get highlights!! specially when customer is asking for it. So, I asked, without using the bleach, how does she plan to get highlights - and she said, I will basically use a lighter tone of color and convinced me thats better for me (stupid me, I should have known better). Then when she found out, that I already had my hair colored (as I have grey hairs, I had touched up my roots 4 days before my appt), she said she doesnt think color will bring out the desired effect, and suggested that I should either stop using Box color, or get full base color done with Clix, in order for them to bring the effect in my hair with lighter tone of color. At that point, I was like -- do the damn bleach, because thats what I have paid for. But was too late by then. I am thinking, thats fine - it is only 55$. I will get good cut and style. Well, the cut was satisfactory, but when it was time for styling, she used the dryer to only fluff my hair. So, I said, when you style, please let me know which products are you using, she replied "oh, do you want to straighten?". I was like -- no.. I want it styled. Then she used the hair straightener in my hair, without using ANY, let me repeat, ANY styling product. When I asked about heat protection, she said, I dont need it!! Which hair stylist says in the world, that you dont need any product to style or protect your hair from heat!??? Basically - my opinion about this place is, if you have groupon, know that you wont get good service. I can not comment on how they will be if you pay full price, because I am not going back to a place where they cant provide service they promised.

I am new to this side of Orlando and wanted to find a new stylist that I found on Groupon with a great deal of $55 for a cut, full color, deep conditioner, and blowdry. I made an appointment with Donna Furr. After taking me 20 minutes after my scheduled time she told me that my groupon didnt cover a full color and that she was going to have to double the price! I had an audition the next day so I relunctly agreed. I had about 3 inches of my natural color which is an ash brown and light brown on the rest of my shoulder length hair. I picked a dark warm brown for my color. After using one bowl of color she complained about having to get another bowl. She then took me to wash my hair and skipped my deep conditioner that was promised. After cutting and blow drying my hair she took my outside to see it. The color was 3 shades darker (almost black!) than what I had picked originally but even worse than that my 3 inches of ashy brown hair was still there!! She never even touched them with color at all! Thats when the multiple lies began, including but not limited to;" nobody will notice!, the color wouldnt take, they didnt need color, they are the same color as the rest of you hair." Her lies didnt even make sense and as she kept changing her story it just got worse. I told her that I didnt feel like I should pay the full money that she wanted (which she doubled!) because I was definetly NOT satisfied and not happy with her lying and trying to take advantage of me. She was EXTREMELY unprofessional even threatening to call the cops. She ended up redoing it and magically the color took! BIGGEST SCAM EVER!! DO NOT GO TO DONNA FURR!!! Little did she know I am a liscensed cosmetologist and could easily see through her lies! She was just being lazy and cheap with her color, this is no way to run a bussiness! I will be telling everyone at my college and my large apartment complex! Take your money somewhere else! RUN!! 0 STARS (btw I am under my boyfriend user name)

I made an appointment three weeks in advance of a special occasion. I also purchased a Groupon like many other on here that had a bad experience. I had an appointment at 11 and was called at 10:45 after I had already driven 30 minutes to get to the salon. The receptionist said they needed to cancel my appointment, I told her I would prefer for another stylist to cut and style my hair and she said no one was available. They boast a big staff, but it isnt really helpful if no one is available. It was so poorly handled that it wouldve been laughable if it had not been for a special occasion that left me extremely upset. They had confirmed my appointment three times and couldnt keep their commitment. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Got a hair cut here last month before traveling out of the country. I payed $50 so that my hair could look exactly the same. I showed her a picture of what I wanted which was a lot of layers and what I got was super spread out layers. My layers were all grown out before going and thats exactly what it still looks like. She didnt even take her time at all and seemed to be snipping away carelessly and cut a huge chunk of hair on accident on the right side of my head. Terrible. I feel like college students get a bad rep in places like this because were "cheap" so she just didnt seem to care.

If you want to have your worst experience in your life ever you can go there and ask for a hair cut with Kay. My hair was long till my waist and I asked for a layer style but just 2 inch shorter. Now I have hair which is barely close to my chin. I couldnt believe that. She told me you came here with a Groupon coupon and you got a nice hair cut which is enough for that much money and I cant do anything about it right now. I couldnt get angry as much as the moment that I saw my hair ever in my life.

If I was just rating the actual styling/cut/color Id rate a 5. But my stylist Kim was late every time, cancelled my appointment right before my wedding without reason (that I had booked for months). I like her, so I decided to give her another chance and booked a month ago for two days from now. She just tried again today to reschedule because shes going to a theme park. Im done. I need reliability. I work and have a life too. I dont recommend if youre looking for a reliable stylist.

Kay did such a great job. Its hard to find someone who wont mess up your hair! She went above and beyond what i expected. I would recommend her to anyone! I read all the other reviews and I cant believe what Im seeing. From what I saw, the salon was packed with repeat, loyal guests that they knew the names of. I did go in with a Groupon so maybe thats why I had low expectations but I truly felt like I was getting royalty treatment. She was working on my hair for 4 hours!
