I recently had an issue with my brakes. I noticed whenever I pushed my brakes that they would shake and grind terribly. I took my car to Pep Boys right before they closed. I knew it was too late to have it fixed that evening so I dropped it off and waited for my ride to come pick me up. The manager stayed open about 40 minutes late so I didnt have to wait alone! The next day they called me right after they opened to tell me that a bolt that was supposed to be holding my caliper on was missing. They could not find a replacement at the dealership or any auto parts store close by. The manager went out personally three different times to a local hardware store and found a bolt that would work to fix my car. My car was good to go by noon. They seriously went above and beyond! And they did not charge and arm and leg! I would highly recommend this Pep Boys to anyone!

So I took my vehicle in because I had vibrating in the tires. So I asked for rotation, balance and oil change. When I went to pay they said that I need to replace the idle arm. I said are you sure because I just had that replaced 4 days ago. He went to the back and said that the mechanic said yes I need to replace it. Hmmmm..I thought, now thats interesting. So I called the guy that replaced the idle arm and he said a 5 year old could tell it was new. So I took it to someone else to have a look and he said yeah its brand new. So with that said...I still have the same vibration in my tires..was the balance really done. After 75 dollars, I hope that wasnt just for an oil change. Your thoughts....

Took a Datsun there and the technicians didnt even know how to pop the hood, couldnt find my dipstick without my personal guidance, and took about 45 minutes to change the oil. Took a Miata there and was told they couldnt align it due to it "popping out of gear" been driving the car around ever since and it never once before or after leaving it with them has popped out of gear. Friendly desk service, but lazy and unskilled technician labor and ridiculous wait time. I would almost test my luck with Walmart before this pepboys. Would not recommend.

I had a bad front end shake on my van, wife and 2 kids were in Pace visiting my cousin for the new year. Took it in expecting to just need an alignment on Jan. 2 at 5pm, we were leaving the next day, they looked at it and found that the tire had a separated belt and had to be replaced. They had the work done in maybe 30 min, it was probably less. Great folks, very nice and great turn around time. Could not be happier with them.

Fred Menges is always so nice and kind. He makes sure things get done and explains them right along so that I know what is going on, and, more importantly, so that I know what I am paying for. I have never felt taken advantage of as a single older woman at this store. I would recommend it to anyone who wants good work done by good people. Make sure to ask for Fred.

My wife and I got stranded on a Saturday and the folks at Pep Boys in Pace could not get the parts to make the repairs on the weekend, but they went all out to find a way for us to get home, vehicle and all, that very day. I pretty much chose this place out of the blue to get my rear brakes fixed. I wasnt real thrilled with any of the auto shop places I had been before. I was pleasantly surprised at how fast they serviced my vehicle and at how reasonable the cost. I plan to return for my next auto service crisis.

Took my truck in to get it aligned. Just bought it used. Turns out they couldnt get it aligned due to some issue with my frame. They did get it as close as they possibly could and didnt charge me a dime.
