The employees here are nice, and friendly, but the management is horrible. I decided to cancel my membership because I had started working out with a trainer and I wanted to upgrade to a package where I could bring a guest. Unfortunately the only option they had available required a 1 yr commitment, and I wasnt planning to train with my new trainer that long. So I canceled my membership to head to another gym that offered a no commitment package. At my cancellation I made sure to ask clearly if I would be charged any further charges, and was informed no. The document that I signed at the time of canceling, and what was emailed to me following my cancelation, also didnt state I would be charged, or might be charged following my cancellation. It mentioned other possible fees like pay outs and such, but not the Annual Fee, so combined with the verbal confirmation I received I trusted I had nothing to worry about. But of course I was charged the very next day $41.34. I called the Gym the same day I noticed the transaction processing. I was told I would have to speak with the manager, but she wasnt in the gym at the time. Later that evening I get a call...not from the manager, but the gym employee who I had canceled my membership with... The manager had requested he call me back to clear up the fact I had received the wrong information. Like I previously stated I like the employees at this location, and this gentleman in every way I feel made a simple mistake and misinformed me, but I am honestly not upset with him because I understand mistakes happen. I am upset with the lack of professionalism or leadership that his manager exhibited. The staff is great and they do the best they can with the limited resources they have, but I can see from this experience that upper management has no regard for customer service. I expected to hear from the manager herself, because that is what managers are supposed to do...take responsibility when errors are made...great companies that offer excellent customer service make it a point to do that...A google search of the companies with the best customer service will clearly give you an idea of what customer service done excellently looks like...despite the employees obviously attempting to offer great service, they are prevented from actually doing so because of management....Like the previous posters have said if you want to go to a gym thats not too crowded, and with nice staff than by all means...but please be warned that if by chance you have an issue arise while a member of this gym you will not be greeted with Chick-Fil-A level customer service, youll encounter Walmart quality ambivalence...it doesnt have to be a deal-breaker for you, but its at least worth knowing.

This location is the worst. I started at Ives Dairy and experienced awesome customer service, then came over here and the staff only started being nice after I matched their rudeness. To make matters worse, recently, a customer passed out and used the bathroom on himself while on one of the mats. I asked the staff for a towel for the guy, but it had to be approved by management. The girl at the desk called, but the general manager denied the request and stated that I had to pay for the towel. I was fuming. I really could not believe this was happening. Someone passes out and makes a mess and you say they have to buy a $15 towel?? Sooo, you cant write it off??? Really?! I will definitely be writing/calling corporate. The worker did say she was approved to provide water and Gatorade for customers, but a $15 towel goes a long way for someone in a situation like this. Furthermore, the mat was cleaned with that water spray they have for equipment but I never saw the worker go clean the mat with bleach. Sweat is one thing-feces is a whole other story. Other issues: They have two tanning booths, but no massage beds. Why not have one tanning booth and one massage bed??? There are two changing areas in the womens shower section-one has a bench and the other has a hook to hang your bag. They really need to find another bench. Its hard to get ready for work with my bag hanging from that hook. (I refuse to put my belongings on the floor.) Also, the showers are right next to the toilet stalls. If someone does a #2, you have to shower, fix your hair, and everything else while dealing with the bad smell. The Ives Dairy location has the showers and stalls on separate sides. Unfortunately, I moved west of i75 and Ives Dairy is too far to commute to.

When I signed up for a membership the associate advised that if I moved to a location where the gym was not close that I would not have to continue my membership, as long as I showed documentation. After moving I asked to cancel my membership and not be charged an annual fee and they advised that they do not have that policy. They charge the annual fee even though I requested to cancel me membership and sent me to collection, neglecting my request to cancel. Do not go to this gym! They scam you into signing a contract under false pretense. In addition, you pay $20 to use tanning and the machines are always broken for tanning. To top it off the managers have a bad attitude and poor customer service skills. When I told him I was going to right the review, he said go ahead and write it on google yelp, etc. And he proceeded to say you can never come sign up again at planet fitness and thats fine, just pay the annual fee. Why would anyone pay an annual fee for something they requested to cancel? Worse service ever. SCAM CONTRACT.

I have been a member of this club for over a year and I can say it has never been cleaner or more welcoming than it is now. It seems the new manager is enforcing all the rules including not allowing people to dump their kids on the lobby or come inappropriately dressed. My ONLY issue (and this has nothing to do with the staff at this location) is that the company stresses being yourself yet runs the Kardashains constantly. Kind of a mixed message??

This gym beats all others ymca la 25hrfit because it doesnt get packed like all these others you can always find a machine, its cheaper, and I think the staff is nice and get the job done the restrooms always clean as the gym, the area is a good neighborhood. Only thing is they do not have classes at this location but thats fine still room for improvement in that aspect all else is great

I like this gym. Its near my house (kinda), but most importantly, its usually clean and empty. Its not a lot to pay if you plan to use it at least semi-regularly. The workers keep to themselves for the most part but they sometimes make eye contact when I talk to them. Im not there for the staff, though, Im there for the variety of equipment and the judgment-free environment.

Planet Fitness-Bad Business- make sure to read your contract and save it. I sign in for a special at the beginning of the year, I was told, month to month with no membership fees during the first year. Two months later they hit my card with $41 membership fees. I went to claim the mistake, they show me a bogus contract, different than my copy. Planet Fitness Bad Business.
