No stars. I came to TAR for an oil change, and the high testosterone man behind the counter appeared angry (Mike). Even though I set an appointment and I was willing to wait a few minutes, he said it was going to be over an hour before service my car because they where busy working on another car (Honestly, he appeared annoyed to just provide with an oil change). Well, that was fine with me so I left my car there and ask him to call me when it was done. After about an hour and a half no one called so I called to find out if service was done, and he said "yes, you can pick it up"....When I got there, he told me that I needed to replace my brakes, and my brakes Pads were worn down.. He offered to work on my car immediately but I passed on that offer.. Them he said "I wont be surprised if you start to hear the high-pitched screeching sound produced when stopping your car". I assured him that I never hear a sound, but appreciated his warning. Based on this mans odd behavior and angry service I was not going to have anything else done in that place. So, I asked for my receipt to pay for service - Instead, he kept nagging about how "many people only replace Rotors not the Pads and its the same thing as taking a shower with no soap" .... Yes, he said that, and kept agonizing about subject. I took a deep breath, thank him and kindly asked for my receipt again. A few days later, I consulted with two recommended mechanics and both told me my brakes where in excellent condition. Recently, had my tune up at Mikes Performance Garage (highly recommended) who also assured me that my brakes (specially Pads) where in excellent shape!. Be careful bringing your car to this place... specially if you are a woman you could be a target for a dishonest scheme. A fraud in this line of business is a common practice! If you want an HONEST PROFESSIONAL try searching for another place!

Ive enjoyed having Collector Car/Trucks for the past five years in Northern Virginia. I bounced from shop to shop, trying to find a shop that knew how to fix and "modernize" my toys. Sometimes feeling like the techs were learning how to do a given job on my car or truck. Luckily enough, I finally found a great shop in my local area (reasonably priced) that really addressed and resolved problems on my 66 Mustang; that Id lived with for four plus years. Were retiring in Tradition, FL and I brought my 55 Ford F-100 down to enjoy here before officially moving here. Shortly thereafter, it developed a serious fuel line "leak" (VA shop recently installed a new fuel tank and fuel lines before I brought it down) and a couple other small issues. A friend recommended Tradition Auto Repair for Quality/Reasonable work on Collector vehicles AND regular car/trucks. I was IMMEDIATELY impressed by their facility AND the Staff Members attitudes and "voiced" knowledge. Mike (shop manager) immediately made me feel comfortable and I knew Id found a shop that REALLY cared about my truck. They determined the fuel leak was caused by improperly installed fuel line fittings and also addressed a "fast" idle issue. Their price to fix these two repairs was VERY reasonable. I especially appreciated and enjoyed having my truck worked on by professionals (Joe, Jessie and Richard). I genuinely look forward to working with this gang - taking my toy to another level (coyote engine, trans, wiring etc). The notable item is that I NEVER entertained doing this kind of work on my truck for the three years I had it in VA. Why - because I didnt feel comfortable they would know how to do something like this. OR, would I be paying for them to "learn" how to do the job? Mike (Owner) and the rest of his team KNOW how to do this work!!!

Thank you to Mike & the Crew at Tradition Auto Repair !!! Their shop is immaculate and "They treat you like Family" Here I am on my way to an important dr. appointment and suddenly my 2003 Ford Expedition stops running - engine cranks but thats it. Just then someone drives by & offers to tow me out of the turning lane, that he has a shop and would be happy to look at it if i wanted, but either way just wanted to get my truck safely off the road. Manager Mike gave me the straight up info on how he works, His rates are very easy on the wallet I agreed to his offer for an hour and give me a call with an update as to how I wanted to proceed. my wife picks me up and wouldnt know it, I get a call shortly after with what its not and what they narrowed it down to. I gave them the go ahead to repair. Without any pressure he mentioned a few other things of which we agreed I could easily do and gave me up-front pricing on other items that I knew about but have not done, It was so obvious they are a straight up honest shop, I gave him the go-ahead on those as well. All in all I paid for troubleshooting of unknown source starting my truck, brake job, oil change and a few other minor things while the truck was on the lift and the best part is I knew what the price would be. It would have been more expensive Had I called a tow truck to get me to the dealer, sit there in a smelly room with horrible coffee, no bathroom & wait for them to get around to looking at it, only to get an estimate that would be twice as expensive for half the work. Great Service at a very reasonable / minimal cost, followed up with top notch communication - You wont regret trying Tradition Auto Repair, They treat you like Family

Referred by a friend Wont go there again feel completely ripped off...... Update: Went back to get the $100 diagnosis report i was charged for and the owner Mike had read this review and was very upset with me. He cursed me out and told me to take my piece of S#?$ vehicle and get the F#@$ out of his business. Just like i thought this place is a Rip-Off! And he refused to give me the diagnosis report listen to the other one star review it is true my experience was exactly the same... Update: The reply to my review is totally untrue i brought my vehicle in to have the A/C checked it was not blowing cold air i was notified that the compressor had a leak and total cost to repair would be$1200 he also notified me of other repairs he said i needed (which i didnt ask him to do a total vehicle inspection) totalling $5500 after discussing with my Wife we decided not to have work done and notified Mike we would pick vehicle up when i arrived to his shop my bill was $337 after going back and forth about bill my question was why would you charge the A/C unit if it has a leak and tell the customer it might last two weeks or two months (which I never approved to be done) if you ran dye through the system you knew it had a leak. I also never approved of any lights to be changed or any repairs to be done the purpose of this visit was to see if vehicle was worth repairing the A/C or just trading it in we had no intentions on any other repairs or diagnostic tests.
