I am a long distance owner of a mobile home in North Port, Florida with a stable renter. Three years ago I had a new water heater installed and was informed that the electrical cord running to the water heater was not sufficient. None of my usual list of "handymen" wanted to deal with the electricity due to licensing standards. I did a quick internet search and found Mr Sparky on line. They came within 48 hours and accepted my credit card over the phone, so that my renter did not have to pay up front. This year, I learned I had some termite damage to my mobile home. I made a trip down to Florida to investigate and found severe damage to the point that wall panels and exterior wood had to be removed as well as interior stud walls which revealed 1969 original wiring. It was clear from the extent of the damage that my hope for a quick repair, was turning into remodeling. Since I ripped all the walls down to the bare studs, it was clear that the electric boxes and cords needed to be replaced. So, I IMMEDIATELY placed a call to MR. SPARKY who "always makes me smile". Again, I got a response and an evaluation from the electrician with two recommendations. I fully understood my options and signed an agreement and the team was out the next day to start. I cannot remember all the names, but a special Shout out to Robert E who was my main electrician who had to actually make 4 separate trips and finished my project, so that my renter could move back in. Thank you again MR SPARKY, I know who to call if I ever need anything attached to an electrical cord. I was 100% satisfied. And again, thank you for allowing me to use my credit card for long distance payment. My renter is now back in her home and loves the new electrical outlets, fans , and lights installed and feels much safer.

We had some extensive electrical work that needed doing in our small winter home, and I stumbled onto Mr. Sparky through a Google search. I couldnt have been more lucky! Booking the job was made very easy by the customer service representative, who explained how the company works: all oriented toward making the customer comfortable. On the morning our electrician was due to arrive, we were sent a photo of him (Mike E.) and Mike called about 30 minutes before arriving at our home to let us know he was on his way. When he arrived he greeted us as if hed known us all his life — friendly and relaxed (and a great smile). We told Mike what we wanted done, and he explained our options to us in language we could easily understand. Once he knew what hed be doing, he calculated the cost and told us what the final bill would be before be started to work. We felt comfortable enough to leave Mike on his own (and stay out of his way) and even though he wasnt able to finish everything in one day, he worked quickly. By the end of the first day, he made a point of getting to the two items he knew I wanted most (replacing an overhead fan and an overhead light). On the second day, he wrapped things up. There were a few things he wasnt able to do because of the structure of our home, so when he tallied the final bill, it was less than originally quoted. It was such a pleasure having Mike around, I honestly miss him! Hes left behind a lot of very well done work though and I couldnt be happier. If youre looking for an electric company that shows up when they say they will, and has eliminated the chance of surprises, youve found it in Mr. Sparky.

I was smelling burnt wire in my living room. Within a 4 week period I had other electricians come to the house but no one could figure out where or what was causing the smell or come close to understanding my story. Since they didnt smell any burnt wires they looked at me as if I was crazy. So after 4 weeks of living in fear that the roof would catch on fire I called Mister Sparky of Sarasota. Kenny Miller the electrician came to the front door putting his booties on not to dirty my floors, that was a plus. Politely he listened to my story. He said let me think about this while I check your attic. He replied everything looks good. He then went over to the switch that controlled the fan and light. "Wa La," He found the problem in a short amount of time. To my surprised Kenny went the extra mile finding the burnt wire smell and also putting his ear to the switch that was making an electric arc creating a ringing sound. The other electric companies didnt have the decency or knowledge to care. I am grateful to finally meet a business of high standard, honesty and affordable prices. Kenny Miller is well educated in his field and an exceptional electrician. There should be more professional people like Kenny. I will highly recommend Mister Sparky. I had a wonderful experience the technician that came to my house was very knowledgeable I was a little leery of course having electrician in my home I thought the worst how much is this going to cost here we go this is going to be an outrageous price all these thoughts went through my head to my surprise he was more than reasonable and fair told me exactly what I needed which was a lower grade light bulb because the lamp shade was getting too hot and blowing out the fuse went over everything in the electrical and wiring Department of my house to make sure that everything was in Tip-Top shape so there would be no fires and that I would be safe and all this was a little over $100 I would recommend Mister Sparky to anyone who needs help in any electrical manner If Ever I need any help again believe me I will definitely call Mister Sparky please Anyone who reads this be assured that you have nothing to fear this is not a company that is going to take your money away from you this is a company that is honest polite and has your best interest at heart thank you mr. Sparky

DO NOT USE MR. SPARKY! I called Mr. Sparky for one little problem with one part of my house. Technician came out and all of a sudden my main breaker is shot. Now I have no power and he told me it was going to be $3,200 to replace the pannel. When I told him that I wanted to get a second opinion, he said thats fine but it will cost you $1,000 for what I did today. He was robbing me no matter what. So we let him go ahead and replace the pannel thinking that was going to fix our issue. It did not! 12 hours without power in the house and our original problem was still there! We were told he was gonna come back at 9am the next day to finish and didnt show up until I put a call in at Noon. Then we were told that the original problem was a pre existing problem and would be an additional charge! In the end, the problem was one wire in the attic! I got taken advantage of for $3,200 when all that needed to be replaced was one wire. I have already contacted the Better Business Bureau for what happened.
