I just so happened to get a flat right by this shop so I didnt really have much of a choice in where to have my tire put on. It was a little confusing at first because 2 other different used tire companies sold me tires w nails in them. So I was driving all around town w my mother in law all morning trying to get tires for these jacks to put on for me. The guy behind the counter is a Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. One minute he was kind and polite. The actual worker was informing me that the tire w the nail was a good tire that we should just plug it so I agreed. and the next thing I know the guy behind the counter comes storming out of no where yelling at me saying that I am making my problems his! He works by appointment ( I told him I could wait ) and He told me to have respect (not sure where he got that from) uh, your rude! He told me and mother in law to stand right where we are and dont leave so we dont confuse his worker. (controlling a bit?) I actually listened for a minute too until I realize what a bunch of crap this was. I told him to put the tires on for me and he will NEVER see my face again... and what do you know??... Mr. Nice Guy comes back out again. Never again. Im sorry I even spent 46 dollars with you people. (not to mention they ripped me off and acted like you were giving me a discount to put on 2 tires and a plug) Ill second the "good person"s comment "DONT GO THERE!"

They had my entire familys autp work for about 6 years spending many thousands of dollars. At that time, I would have given them 5 stars. Tehy are expensive but were convenient. 2-3 years ago, their work started getting sloppy, the cars had to go back more than once for the same repairs and repairs were getting shoddy. The owner didnt know when to hire additional mechanics or stop taking new work so they were rushed, leading to shortcuts and customer service decline. We had a new car that needed a side view mirror. They ordered it, had it painted and installed it. This was an OEM part. It wasnt flush and would make a lot of noise at highway speed. After bringing it back twice and being told it was installed properly, I removed the door panel to find that only 2 of the three nuts securing the mirror were attached and one of the other two was cross threaded. That was the end of our relationship. Prior to that, we had a car towed in after over heating. The radiator was replaced along with the thermostat. The vehicle over heated the next day requiring a tow. Two days after I got it back, it overheated and needed to be towed. I sold the car a few weeks later after parking it. It over heated again and was taken to another shop for repair. Maybe they have gotten their act together by now. Who knows.

About two hours down the road after an engine oil change and some fuel system maintenance we were having a sudden unexpected problem with our 1990 jimmy, which is rigged for towing behind our RV. We go to the closest mechanic we can find. I describe the problem to the gent behind the desk… the fact that the engine idle is suddenly running too high and the brakes are requiring a great deal of pressure on the pedal. He says lets have a look. He has me start the engine & shut off the A/C so he can listen for escaping air. He apparently hears it over the sound of the engine and then feels around before pretty quickly finding a disconnected connection where the Unified Tow Brake vacuum pump is teed into the jimmy’s primary vacuum line. After fiddling around we get this reconnected and “presto” everything is working properly. Wow! And then to top it all off, the mechanic tells us, “no charge”! Wow! And we are out of there before we can fully recover from all the dark thoughts we were having over mechanical mystery problems. Hooeee! Seaside Auto Repair deserves a huge Attaboy and many thanks.

Review: After having Seaside Auto perform a routine tire rotation, another mechanic had noticed the lug-bolts holding the tires on had been stripped, and had to be broken off in order to gain access to my brakes for a routine brake pad replacement. I was not pleased to hear this information and contacted Seaside Auto immediately to inform the owner that I would like to drop by with the evidence. Of course I had paid the replacement cost of the stripped lug-bolts which had to be broken off at that time. When I returned with a receipt and visual proof of the broken lug-bolts back to Seaside Auto, the owner began to argue and raise his voice at me as to how this possibly happened? The owner then continued to insult me when he finally gave me $3.00 dollars for the broken lug-bolts while ordering me out of his shop with no apology! Whatever happened to good customer service, and integrity? You will not find it at Seaside Auto! Seaside will continue to loose many faithful customers due to lack of professionalism and personal integrity! Reviewed on: Jan 13, 2009

Had my car taken there for new tires and they didnt put tires back on right and one flew off when I was driving two days later. Got in a car accident and ruined car. They refused to pay for damages and just yelled and argued. If u want careless, wreckless people working on ur car take it there. Bad business practicing and unprofessional, they even said themselves its happened before to another customer but wouldnt take respondsiblity for anything. DONT GO THERE!!!

Went to Seaside because it was recommended by a friend. My car wouldnt start and I thought it might be the ignition or the alternator. Turned out it wasnt starting because I had just bought a new battery and the technician from the store I had bought it from had installed it wrong. Seaside corrected the mistake and only charged me for the electrical systems check that they did. Definitely coming back here if my car needs maintenance. Thanks!

I have been taking my familys cars to this shop for over 15 years. They have ALWAYS correctly diagnosed and repaired every problem! I have never had to return to get mistakes corrected, and they never have attempted to do frivolous work. Always get accurate estimates and fair pricing. Roger, Mike, Bill and the rest of the gang are AWESOME!

Highly Recommend... I have been coming here since 2007. They are fairly priced and always do the right things for the customer. They care, are truthful and will not do anything that is unnecessary. Unless you want to be steered wrong dont go anywhere else! Roger and Mike and the staff are the best!
