Ive only been dealing with this post office a few months. My beef isnt worth the office itself, as I have yet to be there, but with their courier for my area. I dont know if other people have experienced this but, even though she seems like a nice lady, she isnt like the couriers I am used to. For one, she almost always leaves the mailbox door open. Not that closing it will keep thieves out, but it keeps the mail dry. For two, if a package is to large, she leaves it next to the car in the driveway. Weve had a lawnmower stolen from us before. I dont need (sometimes expensive) items being stolen from us because she either wont leave a note or bring it to the house (50ft from curb). Her excuse is that she is afraid of my dog. Okay, hes a large dog with a loud mouth. Hes indoors when hes not leashed with me. Is he going to jump through sliding glass doors to get fresh mailman? Hardly. She should be more afraid of the Jack Russell down the street. And I dont know what went on between her and my husband (a disabled vet), but its so bad he avoids her like the plague because he despises her so.

I have lived in Summerfield a little over a year now the first time I had an issue with the post office was in October of last year around my birthday. The carrier refused to deliver a package because it was too big to fit in the mail box. I went to the post office and was told thats just how it was. Now there comes the latest issue. 5 packages all showing delivered but never received. The carrier admitted to delivering the 5 items to the wrong address. I was told he would retrieve them but I still 3 days later have no packages. The post office stated that its my lose because the person has worked for the post office a long time and its my word verses theirs. I have filed and am hoping that the issue can be resolved. Very frustrated and dissatisfied.

Another bad review and if I could leave negative stars I would. This is for the Summerfield post office carriers. They will not bring packages to the house. They leave them in my driveway and I have no idea they are there. I dont always check my mail and dont go down my driveway every day. So yesterday when a package was delivered I didnt know. This morning I happened to go out and there it was, sitting on my fence. Soaked from light rain we had. I guess I should be thankful there wasnt a wind to knock it off! Even if they bring it up to the house at least Id know it was there. They dont have to knock on the door. the lady is very nice but please! Do not leave packages on the fence in the middle of my driveway.

If I could give a negative feedback I would. My postal delivery person delivered a package to my house in the rain, left if on the front porch, which had no cover from the rain, didnt knock on the door to let us know she delivered it. When I called to complain, her supervisor supported her decision, and stated "I dont know what went on as I was on a boat Saturday and not here". I will never use this poor excuse for a delivery service again.

Ive lived in Sumterville 7 years and have nothing but positive interactions with the post office personnel as well as the carriers. The permanent carrier is an angel, always giving great service. The temporary carrier staff dies not give as good, personal Svc but Ive not experienced any negative issues with them. I find if you treat those that serve its with respect you get it back. Im well pleased withdraw service.

No wander everyone is going to Fedex or UPS, mailman doesnt deliver small packages anymore, just puts notice n mailbox a give 2 or more day before i can even pickup at Post office.. WOW IM GLAD IT WASNT A Emergency Package !!! I had Tools needed for a Job sent 2 day priority to me an now uts gonna Make it 5 plus days before i can get them an do my job. THANKS ALOT NO GOOD U.S.MAIL !!!!

If I could leave negative stars I would. Horrible delivery person(s)! They have hit my mailbox twice in the last month, the last time ripping it off and splintering the post, left a package in the middle of my driveway because they didnt want to drive down to the house and always leave the mailbox open! Oh...and their phone line is constantly busy!!
