This is potentially one of the worst POs in existence. Workers at desk are slow to understand what is being asked of them, do not complete the tasks that are given them, do not follow their own database for updated information and have been slow in rectifying problems. I am not alone in my feelings. People who live on the island full time, work in the area have experienced difficulties with the people at the post office and some of their mail carriers. I finally had it this morning when I called to let them know that my PO box was locked and I had paid for renewal. I was told it would be unlocked. When I asked when? I was told sometime today. That is an unacceptable answer for a PO who created the situation. They should have said immediately but they are too lazy to do what is right for the customer. No wonder the PO is in such fiscal disarray. This was the straw that broke the camels back. There have been many other problems with the personnel in the office including a postmaster who doesnt follow up on discipline. Next step is to contact my congressman and ask that this PO be put on the list to be closed. There are others in the area that are far more efficient.

Saint James City has the Most Helpful and Friendly Postal Delivery People you will ever find. They always go out of their way to be nice to everyone even though its sometimes extremely hot out and they have a Lot of stops to make. It can be a tough job, but they always seem to do it with a smile on their faces !

I hate that because we have a gate they assume ur gone and instead of coming through the gate they wont deliver ur mail if it needs signed. People find out weather or not someone is home before just leaving a u were missed slip.now I have to wait til Monday to get something very important!

Ive had nothing but good experiences with the group at 33956. The only real problem is with how busy it sometimes gets because of all the part time residents. Im going to miss Lori, our mail carrier when she retires, always has a smile and a casual yet professional Island attitude.

terrible mail delivery not sure even getting all our forwarded mail our forwarded mail being put in wrong box some of it very confidential not a very comforting feeling
