Never Going Back Again. I have been going here for about a 8-9 months. I like the guys who have cut my hair and the shampoo/color guy gives a good scalp massage. However the woman who own or manages this place is completely UNETHICAL!!!! I recently went in to do a color touch up which I was told the last time I was in there getting the works done on my hair that I would only be charged about $35.00. I decided that I wouldnt do the touch-up at that time, but decided to come back and do it. So I called, booked an apt, and went in to get it done the other day. I kept being asked if this was the only service I was getting done, and I said yes. I usually get the works on all of my previous visits. and had intended to come back in a few days to do a hairstyle for a wedding. After I did my roots, I went to pay and the lady told me my charge was $55.00. When I said wow that seems like a lot for a roots touch up, she didnt say anything. So I pull their brochure that they have at the counter by the register and it PLAINLY STATES that the charge is $40. I asked why I was being overcharged and she stated that I dont come in on a regular basis so she would have to charge me more. WTF?!?!?! that made NO SENSE, AND it did not state any of the BS on their brochure. The previous time I was there before that, I heard her charge extra to another woman because she told the woman she had "Long Hair" Since when is shoulder length hair considered long hair????? This is bullshit, do not go here... They just lost this customer and the 5 other people that I have referred to them.

Mulan Spas employees are from Chinese origin so acknowledge the fact that there could be a language barrier (there are a few who are fluent in English, dont get me wrong). This salon reminds me a lot of the ones in Chinatown NYC. I was greeted the minute I walked inside and the salon itself is very professional and chic. The manager, Kathy, was exceptional in translating to my hairdresser exactly what I wanted and she was also knowledgable in explaining to me the techniques to get to my desire color. *Do not use their price as listed on their website/brochure!* if you cannot afford professional service, do not bother coming here. This place will cost you an arm and a leg. If you are looking for a price, go into the store and ask for a quote; based on your hair length and the condition of your hair (time-wise), they will give you a rate. Although this is one of the more expensive place I have been to, I am very pleased with how my hair turned out and will definitely recommend this to others. I have naturally dark brown hair and I wanted to go blonde. I ended up coloring my hair, shampoo and blow dry for $150. The process took roughly four hours.

I was a walk in customer, I was planning on going in just to make an appointment for a cut and dry but they had availability so they said they could do my hair right then. I had my infant son with me and they didnt mind and were very welcoming. I felt completely pampered and my hair looks amazing!!! Im incredibly satisfied with the whole experience not only will I return but I will highly recommend Mulan spa to my friends.

Never going again Kathy is very unprofessional. Its up to a customer to decide on tip amount, but Kathy will tell you how much you should tip her. Thats so ridiculous!
