Natural Chick

Hello Everyone this review is to WARN future clients (especially those who are natural) I want to share with you guys my experience as a natural who came to this salon last January (2015). I came in for a blow out on my natural hair. The stylist that flat-ironed my hair was Vicky. Before I wrote this review I really wanted to wait and see if my hair would revert 100% to its natural state. But now it is AUGUST and I tried many protein treatments like Aphogee and my hair is STILL damage with many straight strands. I am VERY frustrated with what happened to my hair and I have been natural for YEARS!!! Now I have to start over! I look at my old pictures of my long hair and its quite frustrating. My problem is not that my hair is not healthy, because you can nurse your hair back to health. My problem is the fact that my hair is never going back to its natural state. I am going to start this natural hair journey again, but I am just writing this review to help someone else out. God Bless!

I have been doing to this salon for over 2 years now and I have gone to several stylists the 6 years that I have been living in this city trying to find someone to do my hair just like I wanted it done. Mia at Anointed Too does my hair and she has been the best stylist that I have come across in those 6 years. The Salon does promote natural hair, so my advice to you natural sistas who dont want to lose your natural curl pattern, is to not obtain a blow out. I would try a sew in if you want a straight look, then your curls will still be in tact. But you really cant blame the stylist for your hair not converting back to its natural state. You should think about what you want to do before you enter any salon and ask for certain styles. I myself am now natural, but I wear my hair straight, blowed out and silk pressed and I love it.

Super upset. Firstly, know that I have gotten plenty of blowouts and my hair has never had this problem. My natural hair is so damaged from this one visit that it is straight. If I could post pictures I would. All that was said was sorry that happened and dont straighten your hair. My 2 year journey ruined in one visit. And now I will have to revive what I can and cut it all off. I will never come here again.
