While I have had good experiences at this location and another, somethings changed. I have a prelude that had some sort of dripping leak and I thought they were being amazing when they fixed it at a minimal charge. Except they didnt fix it. Whatever they did helped, but the car is dripping on the driveway of my rental unit. But today I had another problem. The car wouldnt turn over so I did my homework and investigated. I told them that I narrowed it down to the Main Relay or the Starer. This is because I knew it wasnt the battery. No dimming, headlights came on strong, radio blasts, and all of the A/C fans in full working order. The last thing I tried was a just-in-case jump from my other Honda and still it wouldnt turn over. Not a churn or even a click. But theyre telling me the problem is both the starter AND the battery. Something I know not to be true. But what can I do but pay the extortion because if I dont, I cant even drive it away. So if it IS the battery, they did something to muck it up. This is the last time Im taking my car to these people.

I brought my SUV there a couple weeks ago because the a.c. was not working properly. I was charged $580 for the repair and the next day the a.c. worked worse than when I brought it in. I returned it the following morning and they had it all day. That night the a.c. still wasnt working, and when I returned it the next day, they acted irritated at me for bringing it back again. After having it for 3 full days they wanted me to bring it back again the next day. Instead I brought it to another repair shop and was told that the system had been overcharged with freon and they drained some out. A couple of days later it still wasnt working so I did a Google search and found out there is a switch that controls when the a.c. comes on. Its called a thermo control amplifier and it is usually the reason why an a.c. on my SUV will work only part of the time. I went to a dealer and bought the switch and had it replaced this week. The a.c. works perfect now.

I have Ben going to Big Mechanic since 2002 so dont take this lightly! My 25 year old classic that I put less than 2400 miles a year on has been destroyed by these shops. It took them more than a month and a half to fix a switch. In that time they put 688 miles on the car, caused damage to the paint on the front of the car. Smoked inside the interior on a 25 year old car that has never been smoked in! LEFT MARIJUANA AND A JOINT IN THE ASHTRAY! The interior was covered in filth to the point it had to be shampooed. The list goes on. Oh but the district leader fixed everything..... He advised me to contact the police and file a criminal report. This does nothing but make it a civil matter and absolves them of there responsibilities for the damage they caused to my vehicle! If you gave me your car and your money to get it fixed I wouldnt go to Big Mechanic!

Went there a while back to get the belts and water pump replaced. It continues to make noise so I brought it in and they looked at it and said it was normal. 4 months later I had cooking problems so I brought it back. They then told me they had to rebuild the engine head and shave the cylinders. It was going to cost around $1200 minimum. I took it somewhere else for a second opinion and they asked if the previous mechanic even looked at it. Basically, the water pump and belts needed to be replaced again because it wasnt do e right the first time. I felt they lied to me so I went somewhere else. I spent around $900 to get that done elsewhere and havent had an issue in 9 months. Buyer beware.

I am new to the Tampa area and was unsure who to contact when I needed an exhaust repair. When I called to ask about service on my vehicle, the gentleman was very friendly and told me to bring it by for a free estimate. Upon arrival, they let me look under the car with them to look at what needed to be done and completed the service in about 15 minutes. This was without an appointment and the repair was priced more than reasonable. I would definitely recommend this garage and will be back for any of my future repairs.

Took my car for a ac check and was told nothing wrong with it.paid to have it charged and left.blew cold for 1 day took it back up there and was told the part wud cost to fix it is 120. And 50. For labor(they get parts from the auto parts stores around town like we can) so i called a parts store and was told the part only cost 44.99.....like really....bought part for 44.99 and had it installed elsewhere for 40....please dont get ripped off...do your research...

Had a xpipe installed and was told my exhaust manifold studs were bad. Was charged for a stud kit, and labor to do both sides. The passenger side has bolts instead of studs, and drivers side manifold has THE ORIGINAL STUDS!!! And to top it off this place couldnt weld my exhaust right on the tailpipes so they stuck some exhaust putty on the pipe where it should have been welded, and now there is an exhaust leak. Dishonest people working here

Excellent. Found a way to fit me in during my lunch on a very busy day. Not to mention I sat and waited on my car. They are always busy because the do GOOD WORK at a FAIR PRICE. My only qualm: They would do well to improve the parking situation.

Was traveling, my car broke down and they were able to fix it and had me back on the road that same day. The parts took a while to arrive and I had to wait, but the guys there were very helpful and my car is running great.

went there to get a vacuum leak fixed. paid the 80 for a smoke test. they tightened a few bolts. now theres an even bigger leak somewhere. looks like Im tearing apart the engine to fix it myself. wont ever come back.

Hands down best shop in Town! Went here for an a/c problem they got it fixed for $650.00 For Compressor and all other needed parts. Took only 2 hours and I was out the door. Excellent Customer Service!
