I highly recommend Transmatics Transmissions. I havent been treated this well by a mechanic in over 10 years!!! I had just gotten off I-75 for a business meeting, thankfully an hour early, when my car started making a weird noise. While I was driving I was turning everything on and off to see what the cause was, but couldnt figure it out. I got to my destination and immediately popped the hood and called my brother. Long story short he figured it was most likely something related to the transmission. So I looked up Transmission Mechanic on Google Maps and Transmatics Transmissions was right around the corner. I drove my car over and spoke to Leon immediately after arriving. He drove the car around the lot and told me he would find the problem. He then offered to DRIVE ME back to my meeting! I dont know of any mechanic anywhere that would do that, even if it were around the corner! I got a call later from Leon stating that they wouldnt be able to fix it today because the part wouldnt come in on time. After I told him I didnt want stay unless absolutely necessary he offer another solution that wouldnt risk destroying my car on the ride home so that I could have it fixed later. I opted for Plan B, then Leon came and PICKED ME UP from my meeting! Other than not having AC for the ride home, the consequence of Plan B-thoroughly explained beforehand, I felt like a princess. And they only charged my $60 for taking apart my engine and telling me exactly what my problem was. Now my brother can fix it this weekend! Thank you Transmatics!

Just a few days ago my transmission started slipping a bit. Then it started making some very nasty growling noises. Got into a parking lot and every gear acted like neutral; my transmission was TOAST! Looked into a lot of different shops and was really starting to question if I should even keep my van or just get a new one because of the high costs everywhere I called for rebuilt transmissions. I heard about Transmatic Transmissions from a trusted mechanic. When I called, a tech answered the phone. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions to my satisfaction. When he learned that I drove a van he immediately asked if it was a work van. I said yes and he quickly figured out what it would take to get it done as fast as possible so that I can keep working. I had my van towed there and 1.5 days later they called me letting me know I was good to go! Very good turnaround time! My transmission repair was HALF the cost of most other places I called!

Leon at Transmatics is a person you can trust to work on your own cars and to recommend to your closest friends, without any hesitation. He is very knowledgeable, does good work and will not be dishonest just to make extra money. He tells it like it is and fixes only what you need to get back on the road again. I recently found him myself online by looking only at top Google reviews of various transmission shops. I have just taken 2 older cars to him with the impression that the transmission was shot (not shifting properly or not going into gear). Leon quickly diagnosed both problems and neither one was a bad transmission. This unexpectedly saved us well over $2000. One car was $180 to repair and the other was $370. Both cars now run fine. Another less honest shop could have easily charged for a full transmission repair for these 2 cars when it was not needed. Please give Transmatics a try so we can keep the good guys ahead of the the crowd.

Leon is the most personable and considerate mechanic Ive ever had the pleasure of dealing with. He was extremely down to earth and straightforward about everything. He diagnosed my car and told me exactly what was wrong, how he could fix it, how long it would take, what it would cost, everything. I took my car to goodyear and they told me there was nothing they could do and sent me on my way. After a quick google search I found Transmatics. I was having transmission issues and was expecting to spend a couple thousand if not more to fix my car but Leon eased my worries and it ended up being only a couple hundred. The most reasonable pricing Ive ever seen and he was extremely quick too! I will definitely be coming here for any and all vehicle repair needs in the future.

If you dont want another car note, contact Leon. Hes a great mechanic. Dealer wanted 4700 for remanufactured transmission. Leon put in a remanufactured transmission for about 2800. It drives great. I plan to drive it another 100,000 miles. I would 100% recommend this shop. Hard to find a good mechanic. I think I will now get all my work done there. He is trustworthy, upfront with prices. I called around other places and they would never really tell me how much It was going to be. They said well I have to check it then Ill let you know. Leon said it will 1600 to rebuild or at worse case 2800 or so for remanufactured. Either way both were better than deal. Thanks Leon. I can use that car not money for other things now.

I do not know how this mechanic was rated so highly. I am completely livid at the treatment I received and maintained my temper and composure until I got home after receiving absolutely no help and having a whole day wasted,when my carcould have been being repaired at another shop so that I could go about my every day life. I had gone shopping the day the car broke down and had brand new clothing in the shopping bag, and was almost speechless when I found the bags empty.. This is after the mechanic gave me a run around all day as to what waswrongeith my Prius, after confidently assuring me he was able to work proficiently on hybrid vehicles. He is a fraud. Id be surprised if any of these reviews are true.

If you love your car stay as far away from this shop as you can!!! A friend and I both had our cars being worked on at the same time. She got her car back a week before mine and the check engine light came on within a day when she asked the owner if it was related to the work she had just done and he told her to "google it". Then when I got my car back it was still having the same problem I brought it in for and now I have to go to court because they are refusing to honor their warranty. Not to mention my white headliner is stained with grease. Please save your time and money by avoiding this car death trap!!!!!

I cant say enough good things about Leon and his shop! Went in thinking I was going to have to deal with an expensive transmission repair and thanks to his expertise and honesty it ended up being a quick affordable fix! What a weight of my shoulders! He went above and beyond and even gave me a ride to work!! Thank you Leon, you saved me a lot of stress at a difficult time. I will definitely be a customer of yours in the future and I will highly recommend you to my friends!
