As much as I would love to give a wonderful review to Roto Rooter, I cannot. If this review were only about Maurice Francis, who pretty much did all the actual labor at my home, Roto Rooter would be the best, in my opinion, in the plumbing industry for having a home completely re-piped. However, the Excavation Manager, Chad Little, has been an absolute nightmare & is a prime example of the worst customer service one can receive in this day and age. Chad was the one who wrote up my contract, processed my financing paperwork, & provided me with his business card, which included his cell phone number. He personally told me his cell phone was the best way to reach him. However, over the course of 3 days, I called Chad 4 times. To this day, he still has never returned my phone calls. His communication skills are not lacking. They are absent. Im a reasonable customer who simply needs someone to communicate with me things like how long the job is going to take, the day the inspector will come, etc. I have a full time job & I have to coordinate my schedule so I can be at my home or make arrangements for someone else to be there. The worst part of this situation is that when my mother called Chad, he answered her call. When my husband called him, he answered his call. However, information provided to both of them by Chad was inaccurate and even though he told my husband he would call him back, he never did. He did the same thing to my mother. In addition, neither my mother nor my husband have their names on the contract for the work being done in the home. I do. I also have never received the final paper work from Chad for our financing of the work we were having done. On Monday, May 8th, 2017, I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint with specific emphasis on the lack of communication & professionalism displayed by Roto Rooters Excavation Manager Chad Little. Additionally, Im in the process of contacting the local news media.

Although my technician was very friendly, I must say that she was very inexperienced. Getting the technician to show up was a hassle. The company gave me an 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM window. My technician arrived at 2:30 PM. Be advised that if the technician makes a whole in the wall theyll not patch it, she left a jagged mess of a hole in the wall that I have to patch. This shouldve been an easy valve replacement job. Instead it took two days for her to do the job. My technician had to replace the tub spout because she thought that the diverter was bad. It wasnt. Finally I asked her to put the new shower arm and flange instead of re using the old crummy one. Since she couldnt get the old one out, she decided that it was a good idea to cut my wall again to reach it from behind. Thank God I caught her in time. I decided to cut my losses and told her not to worry about it. It turned out that he shower arm was just supper tight and I was able to get it out without cutting anything. I just need to get a new flange to cover the hardware that holds the arm in place (the one that came with my shower is too small). Bottom line, nice technician, shoddy work, and possible structural damage. I now have to do some repairs myself.

Saturday afternoon I called Tampa Bay Root-Rooter for assistance. My plumber was not available. The sewer had backed up into the toilet and tub. This was an issue we had in the past because of orange burg sewer-line placed back in the 1950s. (Raif 0273) came to the house. He was very professional. He spent over an hour carefully cleaning out the drain. He was straight forward about the line needing repair or replacement and that due to the condition of the breached sewer line the clean out carried no guarantee. He said it was in our best interest to have this taken care of quickly. Our community suffers from sewer-line issues and we all need to take some responsibility for our infrastructure. Sewers are not sexy but very critical. He offered to have an appointment set for a camera survey of the line. He contacted Guy Shipman to assess the damage done by the water that had leaked under the toilet seal. He provided an estimate to have that wax seal replaced. I had a $40.00 off coupon which he honored. I have needed this service in the past and I must say this plumbing experience was excellent. Thank you Raif. Thank you Roto Rooter.

Of course every home repair disaster happens to me over the weekend. The entire plumbing/piping under my kitchen sink needed immediate repairs and Roto-Rooter was out at my house within hours. I wasnt charged any additional fees for the weekend, "Raif" came out and assessed the damage - which was pretty severe. He was honest with his appraisal and suggested replacement parts that suited my budget (Im pretty broke right now as is half of America). He replaced all of the piping, suggested my husband run to the hardware store for a new faucet (to save money on parts) and was extremely reasonable with labor charges. I had a $30 off coupon but didnt even have the heart to present it after getting such a good deal. I couldnt be happier. For years, I could never understand where that "smell" was coming from until Raif showed me what had built up in the pipes he removed. Who knew 10 years worth of nastiness collected there. The smell is gone, my water flows so much better and its a great feeling knowing I wont have to do this again for many, many years. I will always be a loyal customer. Thanks Raif!!!!!!

This place is terrible. We scheduled an appointment for yesterday and were given a 4 hour window of when they would arrive. We left work so that we would be home in time and they never showed! They finally called me at 11:30 that night but I unfortunately was already asleep and they didnt bother leaving a message. I called back today and rescheduled for tonight between 4 and 8pm. I just called to confirm that they were in fact coming tonight to be placed on hold for a good 10 minutes. First the girl came back to say I was on the top of the list and someone would be out shortly. Then she says hold on and places me back on hold. I wait a little bit longer and a different woman comes on the phone. Upfront she apologizes for being rescheduled but then goes on to tell me that "to be honest she doesnt think someone will be able to come out tonight"! What the heck!!!!!????!!!! This is ridiculous I told her never mind, I would call another company. Meanwhile I have a broken kitchen sink and cant prepare any food because I cant clean up from it! Thank you Roto Rooter...great service!

Needed a plumber over the weekend we were backed up. They came out quickly and cleared the issue. They also came back on Sat. and ran a camera and found we had old plumbing lines and were in an emergency state that could back up into our house and cause major problems. They got a crew out in less than two hours and had dug up the front yard and jackhammer inside to get to the line in order to run all new lines. The guys were very neat and respectful and understanding of how stressful the situation was. I thought my house would be trashed and it was not. They even restored my front yard back to it original look along with the flower bed blocks being put back. The inside work was neat and clean and you cant tell they were even in the house. They left me not one thing to do other than to resume my normal day to day routines. I will be a loyal customer of Roto-Rooter whenever I have any issues. The warrenty is amazing. I cant believe how quickly everything was done!!!! Thank you Mike and Gjon you were amazing! Christina from Largo
