I had a problem with the tank of my toilet holding water. I called Mr Rooter and they showed up quickly. The plumber that they sent was completely clueless. He was told by my wife that the water doesnt go in the toilet. He took that as the toilet bowl not flushing into the drain. I understand that the description by my wife was vague, but all he had to do was put water in the bowl and see that there was no problem there. He charged my wife $538 to remove the toilet and repair it. I still have no idea what he even did. He didnt even fill the tank to test it, otherwise he would have noticed that the tank wasnt filling up with water. I called them back and asked them to send the plumber back and even requested a different plumber. They refused to send someone else. They gave me an appointment that they missed and they showed up on the following day. He came back and I showed him the problem and told him that I though the valve that holds the water in the tank is not working. He said that valve never goes bad and the problem was the thing that regulates the water inflow into the tank. He replaced it. This time it seemed that the tank filled and he left. However, the problem was that tank filled but 15 min later it would be empty again. I called them back a third time. He came back again, this time telling me that the valve that I had told him originally was the problem needed to be replaced and he wanted 300$ more for it. I told him that I had already paid them $500+ for a work that hadnt been done correctly and I would not pay more. To charge me $800+ to fix toilet tank was ludicrous. I could buy a new toilet and replace it for half that price. He left and didnt fix the toilet. I will have to go to the bank now and try to retrieve the $530 check that they cashed. But they stole my money and highly recommend you look for a different plumber than subject yourself to the incompetence of this crook of a company.

Had an issue where wax ring under toilet had failed, Mr. Rooter arrived late in the evening and provided a quote for the work. Once I agreed to the cost, they pulled the toilet and snaked out the drain. They also ran a camera down the drain line to figure out why the blockage was occuring. They did not have a replacement wax ring with them, so came back the following day to replace the wax ring. Less than 1 week later, we again encountered a leak from under the toilet where the wax ring was replaced. I requested Mr. Rooter come back to hold true to their warranty for the work, and had an employee come out. The employee did not provide a quote for the work this time, so I was under the assumption that the work would be covered under warranty stated in their service contracts. After the tech finished the job, he presented me with a bill for nearly $400. I refused payment, stating that we were not informed that any payment would be required. The tech would not leave my home until I paid him, so I eventually paid him a portion of the bill so that he would leave. After attempting to rectify the situation with management many times, I ended up opening a dispute with my bank. I provided the bank with Mr. Rooters warranty information, to which they ruled the judgement in my favor. Buyer beware, if Mr. Rooter replaces or repairs anything that requires your toilet to be removed, they will continue to charge you to pull the toilet, even if their repair has failed. The management structure within the company is very confusing, and its difficult to speak to someone who has the authority to make decisions on behalf of the company. I would not recommend this company to others unless you have a plumbing emergency during off-hours. Their response time to my initial call was great, which is the only reason I am giving 2 stars instead of 1.

We have two toilets with slow leaks. Our home warranty company could not come for a week and a half, so we called Mr. Rooter. Mr. Rooter plumber came and was very polite. After about ten minutes he gave me two options: 1) rebuild toilet tank inside for $425 or 2) replace toilets for $1450. Since we have a home warranty company and the cost was far more than I anticipated, I asked how much I could pay for the plumber coming out. After a call to a supervisor, the plumber tells me that he will check an outside drain, run a camera through a drain, and check under sinks for leaks if I pay $149. I declined as that was obviously a waste of time. So the plumber said he would try to make adjustments inside the tank to stop the leak. After a few minutes, he told me that replacing a fill valve that costs $10 at Home Depot would solve the problem. I paid $149 and he apologized that he has to do what his company says. We will never call Mr. Rooter again and we do not recommend Mr. Rooter.

I attempted a DIY project of replacing a leaky shower faucet and valve. Attempted. I was met with a torrent of water gushing from the spigot in the shower. Guess who forgot/couldnt figure out how to turn the water off to the house? This guy! I tried high-tailing it to Home Depot, finally found the stupid water meter key, water meter wasnt turning off for me. I gave up and called Mr. Rooter. Was met with a pleasant and comforting voice on the phone (I do not recall her name) but she assured me that someone would be out within the hour. With an hour, John McAffee was at my door and ready to get this ordeal solved for me. John was very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. I couldnt have asked for a better experience. Excellent customer service and work done is becoming more and more rare these days and its nice to be reminded that there are people who take pride in both. Thanks again John for making this whole troublesome situation as painless as possible!

I found three plumbing companies in a trustdale flyer on a late Sunday when we had a sewer line back up. Mr. Rooter out of NPR, Fl. was the one who responded the quickest. However, that wasnt the best part. Reid, the service technician who came out, was the best contractor I ever worked with. He exemplified what a true professional is. As an engineer myself, I can tell Reid knew what he was doing. There never was a point where he was guessing and every step was done with precision and calculated troubleshooting. He was able to find my outside sewer clean out exactly even though it was buried under rocks about a foot deep. Every tool Reid used, he was an expert in. He was confident in his work and I could tell he loves his job. If your looking for an expert plumber call Mr. Rooter and ask for Reid.

My Daughter had a back-up with her plumbing and called me to help her her out. I called several plumbing companies and the average price for them to come out was a $90.00 service call, and then they said about $400.00 to inspect the lines with a Camera. Then I called Mr. Rooter of Tampa Bay. Mr. Rooter came to the house for free and inspected the lines with a camera, ran a full plumbing diagnostic, and then gave us a full report- showing all of the plumbing issues- NO Charge! After reviewing the issues, I I then follow their advice and paid Mr. Rooter of Tampa Bay to snake and hydro-jet the lines. We have not have any issues since! The technician was very clean and respectful, and did a great job! I am very impressed with how this company does business, and will definitely use them again!
