I booked an appointment with this salon at 7pm 2 days ago. The morning before the appointment we called to rearrange due to not being able to make it for personal reasons. The lady who answered the phone reassured we were not on the system. We wanted to rearrange so we didnt mind so much that they couldnt locate me. When asking the lady if there was any availability for the next day in the evening she kept giving me morning times. Again, I repeated evening please and she said 12pm then 10am? At this point I started to get frustrated as her English was awful and she was not helpful at all! We asked if we could have a 6pm appointment and she said there was no availability. I told my husband to call up again a few hours later to see if soneone else answered this time. A guy called Chad answered and he reassured us there was availability for 6pm on the day we wanted (next day). The same evening we get a call from the salon at around 7.20pm asking where we were. We told the person who called that we had called earlier in the day to rearrange because we couldnt make it and that we were not on the system. They said we were! We told them we had moved the appointment to tomorrow at 6pm with Marcia and they confirmed we were booked in. The day of our appointment we start driving to tampa an hour and a half before our appointment at 6pm. We get a call from Marcia from the salon saying she had to go home early and be somewhere so she couldnt take our appointment. My husband told her we keep getting messed around and we are not happy. The salon is 50 mins drive from us so we had already been on the road for 20mins. Marcia tells us shes not sure if she can see us because she has to be somewhere else and also that she waited for us yesterday when we were told we were not on the system! This was really annoying and upsetting as I was going to donate my hair to locks of love and waited all week to do it. Marcia tells us she will see if someone else can cut my hair instead and she will call us back...we continued to drive and waited...10mins later my husband called the salon and there was no answer. At this point we were so angry. Another 10mins later we get a call from the salon and my husband tells Marcia you were supposed to call us back....she replies....oh Im sorry I forgot!!!! We were like wtf!!!! Its a shame because this was the first time I was getting my haircut from this salon after reading all the great reviews! Unfortunately, the level of service is so unprofessional! My hair is 32 inches long and it wasnt easy to wash, condition and dry it today just so I could donate it to locks of love. The manager of the salon called us to rectify the issue and to understand the problem. We explained what had happened and he was unaware of all the details that had occurred and was sincerely apologetic. He was very professional and showed that every person mattered, unlike other small businesses these days. He offered me a free haircut in efforts to resolve the issue along with his personal cell number to book with him directly at my convenience. Furthermore, he kindly offered to personally cut my hair which was genuinely thoughtful and appreciated!

YOUVE GOT TO GO SEE CHAD. Born, raised in NYC, have had my hair done by several reknown sylists. Have spent many years in the fashion industry, more "mature" now (meaning old), I was ready for a new look, and scared to death. I had been to Salon Jack once before for a minor trim, not with Chad, but I watched quitely and was so impressed with Chad, and how he ran the salon. I watch him do cuts himself, and at the same time he had his finger on the pulse of the entire staff, contstantly checking to make sure every customer got the proper reception and service. Now I was ready for my drastic change, and made my appt with Chad. I have never, not in Manhattan, D.C., L.A. or Boston - gotten the individual attention that Chad gave me. First after arriving the staff ensures your comfort with a smile, and coffee, soda - water, etc. The salon itself is lovely, elegant, and staff are all friendly, helpful. But Chad exceeded all expectations, he spent a long time on the cut, constantly talking me through each step. Several times I thought we were done, and I was thrilled already, but he wasnt - he kept at hit doing things with his scissors that I have never seen done. He worked his magic, and still found time to share stories about his children and his dog. Chad is just a nice guy - AND he is incredibly talented. He loves what he does and wants you to love what he does before you leave his shop. No tempermental prima donna here - not any where in the shop. I was thinking about some hi-lights and a keratin treatment - so he introduced me to Stephen who specializes in both. To my shock the cost of the keratin treatment which I have priced dozens of times at $200-$250 (I have thick long hair) - was $99. I could write a novel here - but bottom line - if you want a fantastic cut - change your style, or fine tune what youve got - this is the place - and Chad is the guy. I have never writtten a review before - even after getting a great cut - but this was so over and above - I had to share it. GO SEE CHAD!!

I was a first time client at the salon because I needed only a haircut cut and judged by the google reviews which were all great. I was scheduled with Steven. I told him and even SHOWED HIM PICTURES of what I wanted as a cut and it was only a half inch to an inch shorter than my shoulder length hair. He seemed really great but was on the rough side with washing my hair and really had a heavy hand with cutting my hair (I mean it felt like a jackhammer against my neck when he was cutting my hair) and he whipped my head every which way rather unpleasantly. Then he kept cutting… and cutting… and cutting some more! Then he brought out the buzzers. Not only did he end up buzzing my hair line (mind you a told him I only wanted my hair below my jaw line and the photo i showed him was NOT buzzed) he then TOOK A CHUNK OF SKIN OUT FROM MY NECK WITH THE BUZZERS! I was mortified and in pain! It turns out my entire hairline has razor burn on top of the rather large cut on the back of my neck. It was more than obvious from my face I was about to cry and he stopped then and showed me the results. I told him it was WAY shorter than what I showed him and it wasnt even the same haircut I showed him but its okay because I guess it will grow. He didnt even offer me a discount outright after I said all that and was BLEEDING from the buzzers! I still was charged full price and he seemed a little perturbed i didnt tip. I called the next day to speak with the owner and apparently the owner is "very difficult to get ahold of" and after I explained what happened the receptionist only said "okay thank you I will pass it along" and never even had my name or number! I WILL NEVER RETURN HERE TO THIS SALON AND I HAVE TOLD EVERYONE I KNOW WHAT HAPPENED AND ANOTHER SALON (WHERE I HAD TO GO TO FIX HAIRCUT I RECEIVED HERE). If I could give NEGATIVE STARS I would.
