Horrible customer service! I am relocating to the area so I called to put in a rental application on a house. I was told there was already an application on the house so I waited a few days and checked back and they said it was still available. I spoke with Julia, who instead of sending an application decided to tell me that it was not going to work for me because I did not have a job in the area....which I do because I work remotely. After explaining that she was then very rude in saying "So you make 3 times the rent by yourself?" This was the most unprofessional conversation I have ever had. Is this not what the application is for? Am I not supposed to provide work information and income when I apply? Just based on that conversation I am glad she said it will not work because if it is this difficult to get an application for one of their properties, I imagine that renting from them would be a complete nightmare. I do not want to rent from a company that is going to have someone answer my calls with a bad attitude and snarky remarks all the time. Obviously, they already know so much about my life and situation that they can deny me before I even put in an application. Lucky for me, they did make my dreams come true since Ive always dreamt of being in a Pretty Woman scenario, so they just made a big mistake...

DONT WASTE TIME OR MONEY APPLYING unless your realtor is a Mutter Real Estate agent. Immediately after viewing a Mutter Real Estate rental property my realtor called to ask if any other applications were in on the property. After she received confirmation that there werent from the Mutter Real Estate office my husband and I put in an application. My realtor was told that we would hear something back in a day or two, although the application stated that it would take 2-4 business days. 4 days came and went and we still hadnt heard anything so my realtor attempted to follow up. She text Jimmy Mutter, emailed him, and called both his cell his office, all with no response. It is now 13 days later and we still have yet to receive an answer. My realtor called to tell me that the listing had gone contingent in MLS, and that another Mutter Real Estate agent was the tenants agent. She looked at other Mutter Real Estate properties and learned that 95% of Mutter Real Estate properties have closed with Mutter agents as the landlords and tenants agent. Head this warning, you are absolutely wasting your time even looking at a Mutter property unless you have retained a Mutter agent yourself.

This past year was the worst year in any property I have ever rented from anyone!!! Mutter real estate group does not treat tenants fairly. They charge for repair fees that a tenant should not be responsible for they do not honor their online late payment clause. They charge for damages that do not exist and the non refundable pet fees are not for damages that may be caused by your pet the pet fee I was told was for the privilege of having my dog. I was also asked to carry pet liability insurance and renters insurance. I had to clean the home before I could move in, the oven was dirty, the cabinets had dead roaches in them, the baseboards had water damage from a leaky roof, the bathroom had mold growing in it that they thought paint would hide. The real estate agent was very rude and condescending at all times. The actual broker took a phone call from me and assured me he would handle the issues and instead refused my calls thereafter. I was treated like I lived on section 8 housing being asked to have home inspections. I would never recommend real living mutter real estate group to anyone not even my enemy.

Very unhappy with my experience at Real Living Mutter Real Estate Group. Looking for a rental and was shown what was portrayed to me as available, all I had to do was give them $60 for the background check and was told it would only take a couple of days. Four days later I called back and was told the unit was not available and was give other properties to check out which were not to my liking but not only that this new individual wanted another $40 for a background check. At this point I was livid, not only did they take my money to check me out for a property that I told was available when I called back to ask for a copy of my so called "Background Check" the person I talked to told me it had been "shredded". After putting me on hold I was transferred to the "property manager" who told me she would email me a copy, later that day I did indeed receive an email of a document informing me of my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, at the top of the document was hand written "application denied". Dont waste your time dealing with these people unless you have time and money to burn.

These are not honest people, if they were we would have not been scammed out of $180. Knowing that we had pets, we would apartment hunt a couple times a day, looking for pet friendly places that would even consider us. We informed mutter that we had 2 pets and could only apply to pet friendly rentals. The realtor neglected to tell us that instead of a standard first come first serve basis on applications that they pooled applications. I had to go out of my way THREE times to even get an answer on our application status! (when jimmy was supposed to call me back and NEVER did). We wasted a whole week of time waiting to hear from this company just to hear that we were put into a pool of applications, and not chosen. We never would have applied if we would have known they were being pooled due to our pets. We feel that we were lied to, put on the back burner and scammed by mutter realty. I cant believe a company that conducts business in this manner is still even in businesses in a small town.

I went through the company over one rental property. When I went to see it, the agent told me there were no other applications on the home and it would only cost $85 to apply, as only one roommate and I would be on the lease. However, when we submitted the application, we instead had to pay $60 per person for all three persons whod be living there, regardless if we intended to add them to the lease. This seemed like a lot of money, but worth it once we got approved. A week went by with no word on our application status. We had to contact them to find out that we were in fact not the only application, but had been lined up with a handful of other applications and were not chosen. So we wasted an entire week of apartment hunting and $180. We are first time renters so this was a hard lesson learned about how easy it is to get taken advantage of if youre not careful.
