I am going to start out on a semi – lengthy rant about Kiser Realty in Titusville. First and foremost, is their inability to communicate effectively, on top of their deceptive Bait and Switch tactics. Last week my wife and I were looking at homes to rent in the Brevard County area. Mainly through Zillow, and some MLS listings. Eventually we found a home that we liked and it happened to be managed through Kiser Realty in Titusville. We were asked if we’d like to view the property and promptly said yes. Upon inspection everything seemed great. Home was nice, clean, and for a fair price. But that is where this story takes a turn. Chantal the person in charge to show us the home from “Kiser Realty” seemed very vague in her knowledge of the home and was not able to answer several questions at hand, but this I thought was just an oversight and was acceptable as I knew enough about homes to answer the questions for myself. Throughout or conversation I let her know that we needed the home for a minimum of two years as me and my wife have a baby on the way, and a year would only put us shortly after its birth. Without any hesitation Chantal advised this should not be a problem, and we proceeded to give them $60.00 in (Cash) mind you for the application fee as requested. After spending the time to fill out the application and maybe some small talk we left the property, where 2-3 hours later we get a call from Chantal saying the owner “Changed his mind” and does not want to do a lease for 12 months and only wants 7 months. As I explained the situation to Chantal saying that isn’t going to work and that wasn’t how the home was advertised we decided to waive and not take the home. A couple days later, my wife called Kiser Realty in Titusville advising the problem to a lady named Katrina. Who told her that since they did not run our credit yet they would gladly give us the $60.00 back. Well what they didn’t say, is they were lying directly to us and feeding us BS. We were told someone would call us back regarding the issue every single day that we called. And we called everyday just to make sure the trail didn’t run cold. NOBODY called! After several phone calls explaining to them the situation Katrina advised us that they were unable to return the funds because our credit had already been ran. Wait what? Yes, even after they already advised us that they would give it back, they declined saying they had run credit and the funds are no longer even in their possession. Getting more angry at the situation Katrina you could tell didn’t really even care about what she had told my wife before, that she would “Give the money back”, because apparently she didn’t even have the authority to do this. I advised her at this point that I would be making sure others knew about the deceptive practice and that I will be taking this further up the chain. Katrina proceeded to hang up on me. After several return phone calls via my wife Tammy (Broker / Owner) of the company finally answered and spoke to her rudely saying, if we wanted our money back we would have to come get it from the office. Over an hour away drive. Moral of this story? I would highly recommend using someone else as your Realty Provider. Not that $60.00 dollars is a lot of money, but it was the fact of the matter at hand, that was poorly handled by Katrina and the owner Tammy of Kiser Realty. Your money is safer elsewhere if not in your own pocket.

I was approved on an application and ready to turn in my deposit, but decided that the team at this location was not worth dealing with. They lack integrity, they are forceful, they dont care about you. They are all about the bottom dollar. They dont take calls during full business hours. They only answer between 11-3 lazy and unaccountable..generally disrespectful..i made a complaint and the property manager decided to just not respond. Well I am glad to never use them and definitely saved a bunch of money in the process. They will try to put in your lease that you should be responsible for garbage disposal and air filters..nickle and dime you so read your lease! Dont turn in deposit until you get a lease.

If you buy I could not tell you. They from the outside have all the appearance of a legit company nice ads, nice little offices, nice faces. In fact you see their signs everywhere which reinforces that concept. They are slumlords and are about their own bottom line, they are very unprofessional, unethical, unmoral. The people are very nice to you while not being a responsible property management company that follows the rule of law. I could go on but please rent from another company or a private renter you would have a better experience.

I have also used their property management division to find a renter for my home. Very pleased with the process of finding a suitable tenant for my property.
