I understand now why some of the reviews for this salon are so bad. The woman at the counter who "greeted" me was rather curt, to the point of being rude. Although the price on the board said $15.95 for an adult shampoo, hair cut, and lite dry she said she would charge me an additional $3.00 for layers. I have straight, fine, shoulder length hair thats pretty basic to work with, and Ive never heard of charging extra for layers (its all I ever get). I left and went to the Ultra Cuts around the corner next to Office Depot. They didnt up-charge for anything AND were friendly from the moment I opened the door. Fantastic Sams should do the same.

I was concerned because of the low ratings but had called around to different places and didnt want to pay 15 or higher for a boys haircut. Fantastic Sams was offering an $8.95 special and that sounded great. My son was nervous because he rarely likes his haircuts so most of the time I just do them myself since he never likes the ones I pay for anyway. The staff here was great trying to help him find a pic he liked and taking time with him. Mirtha did his cut and she was great. My son said it is the best haircut he has ever had and is so happy. And he said all the people were very very very nice. :) Thankful for a great experience!

I went to this place today. When I read the reviews I was a little skeptical but had no choice but to go there as my son badly needed a haircut. But the guys there proved the reviews wrong. I was very impressed with the detailed cut and professional they showed. I got my sons haircut from a guy called John and I highly recommend him. He did a fantastic job. This place is a keeper if Johns around!!

Im not sure why the low ratings. I have been taking my son for haircuts on a monthly basis and it has always been a pleasant experience. The staff is very friendly and they have very competitive prices. I usually only pay $8.95 for my sons haircuts. I would suggest making an appointment on the weekends. They do take walk-ins but its usually busy on Saturdays and Sundays.

Even though one of the hairdressers there is great, I wont be back here. customer service is awful. If it says they close at 7pm, better get down there at 4pm. They may turn you away at 5pm with 2 hours to spare. Avoid this place like the plague.

Walked in - basically walked right out after the lady that was going to cut my daughters hair rolled her eyes when the girl up in front told her we were ready. If you dont want to cut hair I definitely dont want you near my daughters hair.

My son and I walked in, sat down. We were completely ignored like we were a piece of garbage. The owner of this location does not care. Walked out and went to a better place. Lost a three year customer today.

Unimpressive. Staff is less than friendly.. customer service and time management are not their strong points. If they quote you 15 minutes, you can count on 35-45 guaranteed. Id go somewhere else...

Was turned away 45 minutes before closing on a Sunday. 415pm. I guess customers dont matter on Sundays to the people there. They dont think our time is as valuable as theirs. Will never be back.
