When I went into the store, everyone was nice. Store employees were sitting down talking to each other waiting for consumers. I walked in and asked if they had time for a haircut. She said, "yes". I also showed her a picture and if they could cut it close to the style I wanted. She once again said, "yes". When I went in, I had long hair. I wanted layers. Clean layers and my hair framed around my face. I also told her over and over and over that I had a "cow-lick" and not to cut my bangs above my jaw line. The lady assured me she could do it. She also said that only 2 inches would come off of my length. To make a long story short. My hair is a mess. It looks like an infant took scissors to my hair and just hacked away. The layers in the back are chunky with the hair next to it 4 inches lower and cut on an angle. This goes across my hairline in the back. THE FRONT IS VERY BAD!! Where I said I wanted my bangs at my jawline, well... on one side of my face it is 1 1/2 inches above it. On the other, it is a full 4 inches! AND, it looks like she just pulled my bangs down and cut strait across. The right side looks like she blended the bangs in with my layers. Also, once my hair dried and the cow-lick showed itself, it looks like my bangs on the LEFT side of my face are almost sticking strait up. I drove to another Smart Style salon to see if she could fix it. She also wanted to know who "butchered" my hair. The cost for this is $18.50. I did complain and only got $15.50 back. The supervisor I talked to said the cut was "fine" and I could have a comb-over style. I almost fainted. She also wanted to cut my hair in a bob. She would do this for "free", but I would not get a refund. I said I wanted my money back. However, I only got a partial refund. It wasnt until I mentioned I would sit outside of the store with a sign saying where I got my hair cut that she said she would cut it without cost and I could keep my partial refund. There was no way I was having anyone from that company touch my hair ever again. I had to pay another $35 at another salon to have it "fixed". The other stylist had to cut an additional 2 1/2 inches to even out my hair!! I STARTED OUT WITH HAIR ABOVE MY WAIST LINE BY 3 INCHES. MY HAIR IS NOW AT MY SHOULDER BLADES!!! The highlights were another $65. Where the "stylist" from Smart Style cut my hair so short in the front, she cut off most of the highlights (except for the one side of my face that she left the bangs longer). Looking at my face front on, my hair was highlighted all but just the left side. The highlights I had to get are lighter then the highlights had, but it looks a lot better than before I had it done. Actually, it may be another $100+ if I need hair extensions to fix the bangs on the left side of my face that are sticking out and up because they are so short. On a side note, I did call the main office to make a complaint. I know my hair will grow back. But, I do not think I should have to look like this for 6 to 7 months for my bangs to make it to my eyebrow. This is so not what I wanted. I am horrified with my experience.

This salon is absolutely horrible. Went in for a perm and it fell out the very next day and only made my hair extremely frizzy (even though I did and bought everything they said I needed to). I called to request a refund and the manager, Kristen (who was very rude), said I could not get a refund until she herself had a chance to wash it and try to fix it. I was not willing to let them put even more chemicals in my hair, so they would not give me my refund. Not to mention halfway through the perm (about two hours into it) the woman doing my hair was talking to another stylist about how it was her first time doing one and would not accept advice or help even though many offered it to her!! I WILL NOT be going here ever again and I DO NOT recommend this salon to anyone.

I went to this Wal-Mart so my husband could get a haircut cut today Sunday January 24th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.they were closed when the website said they were open.
