A week ago I brought in my 94 camry which had more than a few issues and I was planning to sell the car a few days later. I told the mechanics that I was selling the car and that I didnt want to spend a lot on the car because I wanted to make at least a little bit of money on the car, but that I wanted it to be safe to drive for the buyer, and that I wanted to get the AC fixed. After they took a look at the car they said that the car has a lot of minor issues and oil leaks coming from many of the gaskets but that they werent immediately necessary to fix for safety or longevity. The one thing they did say was necessary were the brakes which were worn completely. They also said that they spent a few hours looking over the car and that they werent able to determine exactly what was wrong with the AC but that they knew it was an electrical issue, and that they were probably going to need a few more hours to pinpoint the problem which would cost $130 for the diagnosis. I agreed for them to proceed with the diagnosis. The next morning I got a call from them saying that they had found the issue with the AC electrical problem in about 40 minutes, which was a lot quicker than they were expecting and that they were going to deduct the $130 diagnosis fee for me! I agreed for them to do the brakes and AC and they gave me a very reasonable price and had them done a few hours later. The parts that stood out to me were the honesty in what was necessary for my car, the courtesy and honesty to refund my diagnosis fee, and the 1 year warranty for my AC, which transfers to the buyer (a friend) of my car. PS. The staff are extremely friendly and upfront. This was the first mechanic shop Ive ever trusted and not felt ripped off by.

I visit their shop to do a oil change, and ask them to check an abnormal noise I was hearing coming under the hood and also for a oil leak. After they change the oil they told me that the noise is coming from my "bad" servo-direction pump and my oil pan is crack and they can change it for $700.(that much for such a easy operation???) Last weekend my car died, wouldnt start, I thought is the battery. So I called AAA and they told me that the alternator is not working and thats why my car wouldnt start, It run out on battery in the last days. So I called a mechanic(a coworker recommend) to replace the alternator, guess what, after doing that the noise I was complaining was gone.. That was coming from my bad alternator and not from servo direction pump like those guys from this service mention. If they would diagnostic this from the beginning I wouldnt have my car on the side of the road. Also this mechanic told me that my oil pan doesnt have any cracks, there are some scratches on the oil pan paint, but there is a gasket above that need to be change and he showed me a trail of oil coming from there. That changed completely my opinion about this service that at first seemed like nice guys, but I came to realize that they dont know what the hell are doing or they know and they just want to screw up people and replace parts that dont need to be replaced. Very disappointing I would NOT recommend an will never go in there again.

First off the staff at Auto Mechanic are extremely friendly and tell it to you as it is. They are not trying to get more money out of you by saying this is wrong and that needs to be fixed. My cars timing belt broke and I had my car towed to the nearest mechanic shop not really knowing what to expect. My car was toed after hours but there was someone at the shop and let the tow truck driver put my car inside. Of course when they told me that my timing belt was broken and that it would be around 1,000.00 dollars I was skeptical so I asked a couple of my friends that have studied mechanic and also looked on the internet and their prices were on point. After that my husbands car needed to have its brakes changed we took it to another place to have them cheeked it out and they told us that the front brakes would cost us 657.00 dollars because the master cylinder had broken and they needed to replace it and also that the back brakes needed to be fixed so that all together it would cost us almost 900.00. I thought that that was priced way to high so I took my husbands car to the auto mechanic shop and they told me that it would cost me about 360 to fix the brakes. A hell of a lot less than what the other people were charging me. I am really happy with their service and will be taking my cars to them from now on.

My first impression of Auto Mechanic Shop is very professional. I came for an inspection of my car because another shop told me I had lots of work that needed to be done. I wanted a second opinion because they said I needed struts and the previous owner of my car had already done them recently. It made me question their opinion. Auto Mechanic Shop verified the new struts, checked the engine, transmission, drive train and suspension. AMSI found some things that I expected my car might need, things that I knew my car needed and gave me a full estimate of all work recommended. I will be having AMSI perform the work needed on my car with the confidence that all the work will be done professionally, by qualified mechanics and only the work needed. I am very happy with my first impression of AMSI and am confident I will be happy with their work on my car. 9/20/14 - Had AMSI inspect a noise from the front end. The were able to identify it as a worn bearing on the front passenger side. They were able to schedule it for tomorrow morning. They also informed me of some other work that will need to be done, but not right away. I like that. That way I can plan and schedule it out.

When I pulled into Auto Mechanic Shop, the check-engine light was on for the umpteenth time in the past two months. It’s a tedious story of frustration with dealerships and big name franchises that fixed a little bit and left me in the lurch when the car didn’t start again, and then again, and . . . 5 half-repairs later, I gave up on that approach and went to the neighborhood mechanic. Wow! Nice people, good service, explanations I can understand. I had the impression the clerk wasn’t figuring an angle to mislead me over what repairs were needed. (I had that feeling at the other places.) The mechanics ran the usual tests, identified the problems, and had them fixed within 24 hours. Even better, the car’s still running, the repeating problems are not happening, and I can get in the car and drive to my destination without worrying that I might be stranded on the road again. I feel welcome at Auto Mechanic Shop, I feel as if I’ve found a place where predictable American quality and service are the rule rather than an advertising slogan. Thanks, Chris and the team, I’ll be back!
