Have had the pleasure of coming to this shop twice in the past two months. The first time was for a power cable replacement that got finished in two days, and they communicated very quickly and clearly what they could do and even gave a me a bill that was lower than what they originally quoted me. The second time was for a weird clunking sound on my rear brakes - the original diagnosis was going to be pricey but Charlotte gave me a good explanation of the issue and I gladly accepted due to the work they had done the first time. Next day, I was contacted by her again and they identified a different cause of the issue and drastically reduced my bill - easily nearly a fourth of the cost of the original quote. They could very easily never have told me and I would have been none the wiser. This shop is easily the most friendly and most honest shop that I have ever been to since I started driving and I will gladly use them as my go-to recommendation for my family and friends.

A good, honest mechanic is hard to find, but look no further!! My husband and I (and many of our neighbors) have been taking our cars to Moss for almost 20 years now. They never oversell repairs, and have always done excellent work. They are honest, honest, honest! They are a family-run and owned shop and have many "regulars" whom they always remember. Charlotte at the front desk (co-owner of the shop) is wonderful to deal with - cheerful, smart, and businesslike! As a woman, I never mind having to step into the this repair shop - I know Im not going to get ripped off! We have had same experience as reviewer Philip - times when they could have oversold us all sorts repairs and we would not have known, but they never do!!! And heres a bonus: they also know other excellent and honest specialists in the area - reputable transmission rebuilders, body work shops, etc. They are good people and have always been peace of mind for us!

Negatives: First off, it took Moss about three days to look at my car. Although that may have been just because I dropped it off without warning, as my car was having serious issues. Still, to be without a car or even a diagnosis for that long seems extreme. Also, while Moss correctly diagnosed the problem with my car, they wanted to charge me over $200 more than I thought they should have. So I just bought the part from AutoZone and hired a guy off of craigslist to install it. Saved about $250. Positives: Having said that, the people here are very helpful and easy to deal with. This place seems like a good shop, just be prepared to pay extra for the "Mom and Pop" feel. I went to Moss based on the reviews from this site, which while I feel overlook the higher prices, accurately show the quality of the service at Moss.

Alright, I waited a few months to post this review. I had an engine light on that did not allow me to pass emissions, I knew what it was (Mopar O2 sensor always gets blow due to my driving habits. I stop on the gas all the time, its a 5.7 HEMI, its fun for me). Well I send it to them, they find another problem and call me before they fix it. I give the go ahead and 3 days later my Grand Cherokee Overland has passed emissions and is ready to take across the country. My O2 sensor that they replaced did die again, but that was to be expected. I will be taking all my other Jeeps there when they need repairs. Things I liked: Fast Communicated with me Used MOPAR parts (not cheap nock offs) Things I did not like: Nothing I could think of. Jeep is still running strong and Im about to drive it across country again.

I am so thankful that I brought my Honda pilot to Moss for some new struts and also to see about my why my check engine light came on. They did hours of diagnostics/tests to finally determine the root cause what something that Honda had settled via a class action suit and my car was potentially covered by. Of course this work had to be done by Honda and thankfully it qualified to be repaired via that agreement (Lou Sobh). If not for the investigative work by Moss Automotive I would have never known about the Honda service bulletin and it probably saved me a significant amount of money. Moss has won me over as a new customer and I will be bringing our other cars here. Highly recommended. Honest, fair, thorough, are a few words that come to mind.

I highly recommend this company!!!! Danny and his team At Moss Automotive have been servicing my vehicles for 12+ years. They are the most HONEST, TRUSTWORTHY company I have ever dealt with. They do not, have not and never will pad a bill or falsely inflate a vehicle problem. During a recent issue, Danny found a warranty issue, researched it and contacted the dealership for me. When I brought it in, they found several other "critical" issues to the tune of $3,000 and none of it under warranty!!!!! Imagine that!!! I promptly picked up my vehicle and Moss will repair the minor problem. I trust that Danny nor his team will never let me drive an unsafe vehicle. They are the BEST!!!!!

If you need regular maintenance or emergency repair - Call Moss Automotive and talk with Danny or Charlotte. This "Jewel" of an automotive repair shop is the only place I take my 1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport. I have been in the construction equipment business for over 20 years, and have a strong background in the mechanics of automobiles & construction equipment. You will never have to worry if they are trying to sell you more than you need... but they are good at letting you know what you may want to consider doing in the future to avoid a breakdown. Its refreshing to find good honest people who appreciate your business.

My wifes 2002 Grand Cherokee had a transmission problem. We thought it would new the transmission rebuilt as the car wouldnt move when put in gear. We took it to Moss and told them we thought it needed a new transmission and 2 days later they called us and said that the transmission was fine. All we needed was a solenoid that was located inside the tranny housing. That repair only cost $500. They could have done the whole tranny rebuild and charged us 5 times that and we would have been none the wiser. I will always take my cars to Moss as long as Danny and Charlotte own the place.

They are fabulous!!!! Extremely honest. Only does work that needs to be completed and backs their work. They have updated me for items that were under manufacture warranty so I could have the manufacture correct the problem. Have been with them for approximately 18 years and hope I never need to find another auto mechanic, it would be really difficult to match their service. Have only great things to say about them.
