Very inexperienced with color. Jay wasnt able to do balayage.. he explained, "whenever I do it, people dont like it." First red flag. Then he didnt seem to think it was a problem that the foil highlights he gave me were two-toned (a very light blonde at the root and at least 4 shades darker golden-blonde at the end). Tried to tell me.. "Oh, thats fresh color.. itll look better later." When I pulled the hair from the base and put it next to the color at my root, he agreed they were not the same color.. or even close, but then asked, "Well you dont like it?"I explained it did not blend at all, and I needed a toner. He didnt seem to understand the process of toner, but said it was an extra charge.. brought out the color book.. and said, "Well what if I do it and you dont like it?" I said, "Well you agreed my hair is two different colors. So we need to fix that." He did, and the color looked much better. My cut? He missed a chunk of hair on one side of my head I had to point out, cut off three inches rather than the one inch I asked for, and one side of my head is shorter than the other. It was also a frustrating experience arguing with a stylist instead of having someone listen to you. Do not recommend.

New to the Atlanta area, I stumbled up on this hair salon while looking for a nail salon. I had no appointment but Dana, the owner, was happy to color, cut and straighten my hair. The location is convenient, the prices great and the service extremely friendly and quick. The hair salon is in a small strip mall so parking is free and easy. Theres a restaurant, a nail salon and a liquor store in the mall and easy access to Briarcliff Rd and LaVista roads. Whole Foods, Publix and other shops are nearby.

Jay is an excellent choice if you are looking for a good, professional, clean looking mens cut. I highly recommend him for chemical service that is subtle and "realistic".
