The postal folks at this Buford Hwy. post office consistently do a GREAT job. It is very difficult working for the public, with the public, every day and keep a friendly, patient demeanor. Of all of the post offices Ive been to I like this one the best. Several of them on the front lines have been there for years and while in most "retail stores", which in effect it is, have tons of turnover, here you see the same faces. Theyre each very unique individuals so not only do they have the tough task of dealing with the public while working for the govt. theyve worked with each other for years and we all know how that can be. They remain professional through it all but theyre normal people too. Have to go to work when you feel like sh&! and deal with the public..people who think they can be rude just because its a govt facility; people who come in 5 minutes before closing and have no clue how to send a priority package. Andrew, Robin, Nancy..just a few names I know, all outstanding professionals in light of the tough job they have. Thank you all. Im one person who spoke out so think of all of the others who do appreciate you but dont speak up.

I work at small local business in Buford and we use the post office 3-5 times weekly so we do see and work with most of the employees at the counter there. Almost always it is good experience, with folks chatting on a personal level to lighten the day, or educating us on the business side of shipping, etc. However at times one of the employees there is continually abrasive and rude. It is apparent this employee has issues with her job which is customer service for the most part and yet this particular person has no people skills what so ever and quite negative I imagine to her fellow employees. It is ashame when there are so many folks unemployed at this time who would love a chance to make a great pay check while working with the public. This partular employee had one of our employees in tears today. It is sad to think tax dollars pay this persons salary! Pay and jobs should be based on ones skill and yes demeanor if working with the public.

This PO has one clerk who constantly waste their customers time (and by extention everyone elses standing in line) by starting meaningless conversations. So watch out for the fat bottle blond. She is so bad that I wont let her serve me, instead Ill let someone else go ahead of me. She actually lost a womans pickup notice one day! There is just way too much chit chatting going on there, from her! And Im really not trying to single her out but she needs to be reassigned to another area. She is a perfect example of why the PO is in trouble. You know Im thinking that in a decade or two postal clerks will be a thing of the past as automation will replace them eventually, sort of like telephone operators. Gone with the wind! For the better IMO though some people will continue to need human interaction likely the elderly, the under educated and our swelling population of undocumented squatter citizens!

The employees who work at US Post Office in Buford dont deserve any star. Theres one lady who was assisting mostly everyone and the other employees are just walking around looking at the customers and yet didnt do anything to assist there fellow employee. A female employee who has short-blonde, shoulder length hair cut just decided to leave after helping what 3 customers. Then, another employee (male), decided to put away boxes very slowly and do whatever else like walking around didnt think at all, to assist so the long line of customers can actually get the customer service that they are employed to do. I dont know if its a color thing, but it still shouldnt matter. If those employees refuse to assist a customer whose NOT WHITE then they are in the wrong business. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE PROVIDED AT US POST OFFICE IN BUFORD!

I disagree with Don and David about the blonde lady at the Buford Post Office! She has been with that Post Office a long time. Everytime I have been in that Post Office she has gone out of her way to help me. I think there is a whole lot more going on with this Post Office than meets the eye. I also dont believe she is the one doing all this talking. And yes you did single her out. The other clerks talk all day to everybody! She is very helpful with delivering accountable mail and very fast! She does not deserve these rude comments! We are not even mentioning the stress that supervisor puts on them. You all need to try serving lines of aggravating people all day for years and see if you have any patience left. Oh and by the way, I bet you love it when your wife goes to the beauty salon!

They need to shoot sitcom here. You receive a different level of service every visit depending on who is helping you and what that persons mood is for the day. The workers seem to be very opinionated, entitled, confused, happy, mad, smart, stupid, wandering around doing nothing and mostly wasting my time. For some reason everything ends up being a bit more difficult at this post office than any other post office I have used. I have actually made it a point to use another post office at times depending on what I need to get done, as I know there is a chance they are not going to be able to help me. More to come...

I just got back from here. They are all friendly. I was reading Dons review before I got there. I dealt with "bottle blonde". She was very helpful. Im thinking Don himself may have been the problem. If you think about it, these people in this location are locals. They are part of our community. They are just being the nicest and most helpful people they know how. Maybe some of you writing these reviews either caught them at a bad time during their day or YOU YOURSELVES may be the problem. Be patient people. Its not their fault our jacked up Federal Government cant implement a better system.

Admittedly, going to the post office is not one of my favorite things to do. However, the staff at this post office make it fairly painless. I have never had a bad experience in my many years of using this location. I have always been greeted with a smile and every worker at this location has always gone out of his/her way to be helpful. If you would rather not share pleasantries with the folks serving you, get a scale and supplies and do your own shipping. These folks enjoy their job and make it an point to share a smile.

Our postal idiot leaves everyones mail wherever he feels like. You have to go and give mail to your neighbors and hope that they do the same for you. Several Amazon packages left at neighbors places that I had to get from them, he runs over the recycle bin on Mondays, and is a general moron. No accountability and then you call the office, they give you a different number, which goes to a fax machine. I hate, hate, hate this post office and that carrier.

I agree with Don regarding the blonde woman. Not only was she excessively chatty, inefficient, and unhelpful, but she appears to be insane (conspiracy theorist gone wild). I started off with a man helping me, then he went on break half way through the process, and she walked up to take his place. If youre unlucky enough to get stuck with her, just smile and nod. It will all be over soon enough...
