I recently went to Xclusive hair salon for hair services. I recently moved to Atlanta and I was search of a professional hair salon that knew how to take care of natural hair. I found Ms. Roslyn’s salon via google, read the reviews, and made an appointment. Ms. Roslyn is a very sweet woman; however, I did not enjoy my first experience there. 1) Her services were too slow, 2) I was left under the dryer and moved to another stylist, and 3) her services were too expensive. First, I scheduled my appointment for 3:45pm. I did not leave the salon until 7:45pm. As she was working on my hair, Ms. Roslyn took several breaks and made a few phone calls. On top of the slow service, Ms. Roslyn left the building while I was under the blow dryer. She had an emergency – which she later told me via phone. She left me with another stylist (very nice woman!) to take down my curls and separate them. I understand personal emergencies come up, but I believe in first impressions, especially when you are working with new customer in your salon. Unfortunately, this did not leave me with a good first impression. The final concern was the price tag. The final cost of my hairstyle came to $130 for highlights, a trim, and perm rod curls. I’ve had my hair done in this style many times before and it cost me less than half of what I was being charged. I was totally thrown off guard when the stylist told me $130 for the style. Although, I did not agree with the high price tag because it did not match the service that I was given, since I was already there for 4 hours, I paid what I owed and left. My hairstyle lasted about two days (I do not sleep on my hair and I know how to take care of my hair so that I can make my styles last as long as possible) – there was nothing put on my hair (i.e., wax, hold spray, etc.) to preserve the hairstyle. Again, with the hefty price tag I thought I would have been given much better treatment. Although the women at the salon were very sweet – the service did not match the final price. Sadly, I will not go back to this salon. I think if they considered lowering the costs (or provide a discount for new customers) and improve customer service a bit, then I would consider going again.

Finally I found a stylist I love!!!!! After living in Atlanta for 10 years I can write a book on how many so called celebrity stylist I have been to. Last year I decided I was sick and tired of paying 400 plus dollars including hair getting my hair done and leaving these salons un happy I started to question myself “is it me or am I just picky woman?” However, what I found in Atlanta was a market full of stylist who claimed to say they were qualified stylist ,but didn’t even know customer service or different weaving methods (Not saying there isn’t any good Stylist in ATL, but they are hard to find). I was ready to fly up to NY just to get my hair done. I had just paid $150 for a weave and 250 for the hair and after 2 weeks was ready to take it out. I went online and goggled best hair weaves in ATL and Xclusive Hair Studio came up amongst others, however, the website captured my attention and I called up and Roz told me to come in for a consultation. When I arrived at the salon Roz fixed my bad weave for free, yes for free (GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE) I was impressed with her knowledge on different methods and could tell she knew her stuff. I must say ever since then I have been a loyal customer and appreciate the professionalism at Xclusive. Rayslin and her staff are know hair care and keep themselves up to date on all the new techniques, they also use great products for your hair so that your natural hair stays healthy. Trust me if you are looking for a quality stylist visit Xclusive you won’t be upset…… Excellent stylist not like the 50 dollar weave shops or so called upscale salons. No hype just real stylist full of knowledge and love of hair care. Thank God!!! Real beauticians do exist. Don’t settle for less!!!!!! Tammie

Let me first say that I had been trying to sit in Rassalyns chair FOREVER!!! Unfortunately, because I am an out of town client, our schedules never came together, but I had heard so much about her work via the web. The new and improved website looks absolutely amazing, and is more accessible and easy to maneuver! But please add a page for testimonials because thats something that prospective clients would like to see. Now, back to my review of the service I received today. I got there early and the Salon was immaculate. Its very beautiful and home-friendly on the inside. Everybody was polite and greeted you like family. After my wash and dry from Raven, who is a very dedicated and hard worker, Rassalyn began to do my hair. She did me a natural weave sew-in with a body-wave hair that she flat-ironed to make straight. The layers were layered to perfection, and although I am natural, she made my hair blend so well with my weave, that everyone think its mine! Rassalyn, you have won over a first-time client and I will surely be making the drive back down to College Park to rest in your chair again, soon! Keep up the good work and if everyone in your salon is as hardworking and dedicated as you and Raven are, than Xclusive Hair Studio and Spa, will rise to the top of the charts in the Gorgeous Hair Arena all around the world! Keep up the good work! Love you guys!!!

Sooo my venture started to turn into a dead-end but I was soon redirected with the help of the wonderful staff at Xclusive. Driving around in a hot car with no air was very frustrating but when I walked into the salon I was greeted by a warm staff with smiling faces. Maurinda was my stylist and when I say she is the most patient and understanding person with some major skills,,,,I cant express how much she took care of me, being a new client. I wanted some flat twist because it is so hot, well let me mention I have not have my hair twisted or braided in over 10 years and I am tender-headed (yeah). Maurinda completed my style and suddenly my scalp is raging with intense pain but she acknowledges the issue and does what ever it takes and then some to relieve the pressure and keep me comfortable. The end result was a happy customer with a new bounce in her walk and a banging hairstyle and a new out of town client. Since I have been back home and work EVERYONE stops me to say how pretty or beautiful my hair looks......I just say, I knowwwwwww! I have passed out her card to everyone because I am just soo impressed with the service and professionalism. I will be back Maurinda and I cant wait. Thanks for taking care of me, Kesha De. I have been through my share of nightmare hairstyles and hairstylists. I resorted to braids because it was low maintenance and I did not have to go to regular salons for hair maintenance. Two weeks ago I had a huge event and needed to change my hairstyle to better suit the importance of the event. My braids looked like a wet mop. She was able to see me as a new client on extremely short notice. I found Rassalyn and cannot say enough positive things. She could tell I was anxious and nervous during our private consultation. We discussed the style beforehand and she made a recommendation based on my lifestyle, job, and facial features. The finished style was absolutely beautiful. I have received innumerable compliments and cannot thank her enough. Everyone was professional. There is wi-fi so I was able to use my computer. I love my new look and look forward to seeing Rassalyn soon. Very highly recommended and resonably priced. I read this site before going to the appointment. All of the compliments are well deserved. Sincerely, Pamela V.
