ULTIMATELY SAVED $1000, THEY WORK FAST AND CLEAN UP PROPERLY, STAFF IS SMART FUN AND HARDWORKING, AND WORKED AROUND MY GAS LINE! MADE A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE BUT SHOULDNT HAVE TO EVER SEE AGAIN THANKS TO JON! DETAILS HERE IF YOU WANT A QUICK READ: I would like to start out first by saying that no one is happy about having work done to their septic tank but this is the one time that I was. I called them out to just pump my tank so I could get some relief again by a backed up tank. I had them out the year before with a technician Richie that was awesome and I was just having a pump then too knowing that any work to septic is generally very pricey. Richie pumped me out for the fee as quoted which was never my experience in the past as I have been charged almost $700 by a Pink company for the same work. Hoping Richie would come out again it was an off day so I told them any would do. They sent me Jon. First in Jon popped the tank and during pumping said "Wow, this problem will continue with these issues here" so I explained my situation with finances and how having it pumped as needed is the best I can hope for until I save up. He told me he could pump me out and gave me multiple tips and advice to reduce the impact I was having on my system until I could get it fixed. I had done my research and spoke with many on what needed to be done, watched videos, and read articles so I felt on top of my game to ask questions about the issues I having. Jon answered all my questions with answers I had already come across as well as any and everything else I didnt know so I was completely informed. We spoke and he told me he could give me a price on installing a new baffle, being I had the old 1980s broken concrete one, and I would look at getting the work done further down the road because I just dont have piles of cash lying around so was just not interested currently. He covered everything up and handed me the paperwork to sign and I saw the estimate. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SCHEDULE CAUSE HOLY CRAP THATS A FRACTION OF 3 OTHER PLUMBERS!!! He said I can do it right now if you want. After having me pumped and already closed back up he opened everything back up and got to work. He not only removed the old and installed a new baffle system but they were to pump the drain field to remove all solids (I missed this part), and they ran a jet through my line to clean it all out. When I came out during the jetting Jon walked me along my line and explained some things to how he believed the system ran, ways to keep it in shape, and options for future work should I ever want someone else to do it or to manage it myself. THE WORK HE DID INCLUDED THE PUMPING CHARGE!!! By their lowest competitor they were $600 cheaper and that didnt include their pumping fee which was way more so really I saved $1000! The thing is I was trying to get in touch with that other guy for 2 days to do the work but he wouldnt ever respond after my initial consult. I had to look back at my records to see who pumped me last time since I had such a good experience that time and boy I am glad I did. Do not hesitate and call this company and have them come out. The girls in the office will always put a smile on your face, Richie was so memorable I had to find the company again, and Jon was a knowledgeable hardworking perfectionist that made my week. And yes that is a gas line they never touched digging the lid up 3 times, 1 extra time was for me to take pictures. WAY TO GO ROOTER PLUS, I WILL SEND ANY BUSINESS I CAN YOUR WAY!! GREAT JOB!!

Many consumers leave reviews. In the services industry, today, cyber reviews linger; customers estimations subjectively based on what constitutes a thumbs up... I, like many, check consumer reviews. Reviews, specifically pertaining to plumbing/septic, were skewed across the board. I called a local septic install company, and they recommended Rooter Plus. Initially we werent having issues, though I knew maintenance hadnt been done...questionably even in the systems lifetime??? Radio ads had me thinking about maintenance cleaning, in conjunction with the 5-6 other homes in the neighborhood having septic trucks out over the past 3 years. My spouse finally "okayed" having a maintenance pumping. Jim-Bo came out, initially, two months ago....He was educational and upfront. On first visit they couldnt find our tank with plat and needed gas lines marked...second visit we were going to need at minimum a riser installed...like many...had to wait post-taxes. Two months later my fear realized.....sewage in the basement, water damage in the carpet....up the walls...in the furniture, books, electronic equipment, guest room mattress/box springs.............. Jim-Bo and Josh came out same day and got to work. Again, friendly, informative, punctual. What may I say for the company in recommendation?? Inexpensive? No. However, the folly of every homeowner is, "if you wait until there is a problem....." My spouse did not want to face what had happened, happened and we were now paying the cost. Straight forward, communicative, punctual....MOST importantly to me educational, compassionate, and THOROUGH. Lets face it, whats worse than the sore spot in your wallet from "waiting til its broke" or having to go through the same nightmare of no water/sewer and damage clean-up, mitigation, and restoration a second-time...AND having to then explain THAT to your husband as you did it "the cheapest way" the first-time because everything is tight? This is not my forte, though I am the fixer-upper, farm grown, roll-up your sleeves and do it yourself... and do it well person. All the stories you hear about plumbing companies and plumbers...and their costs, male or female who isnt skeptical?, especially when your knowledge base is still sophomoric. Bottom-line, the work that needed to be done was more than anticipated but needed to be completed (while it was all dug-up, extra hoses, Josh in the ditch 3+ feet over his head on the main-line..) so that my next septic call wont be for 3 years for routine pumping. Would I call them again? Yes, though I hope I dont have to for three years at maintenance time....... IF I do, I shall amend this review readily AND harshly! Jim-Bo and Josh....extremely polite, considerate, informative, thorough.

The main thing I have to say is EDUCATE yourself. Their technicians are paid on commission (we learned this afterwards) and will not waste a second trying to up sell you. We had RooterPlus come out to pump our septic tank. Nothing was wrong with the tank, we just had it pumped for preventative maintenance. I was quoted $150 for a 1000 gallon tank. First - The technician backed into our driveway and in the process tore up our entire yard and even cracked the driveway. Mind you, we do not live in a neighborhood and we have a wide driveway. My husband has a large boat that he is able to maneuver easily. After several attempts, stopping traffic, and completely ruining the yard, the technician made it to the house. Second – He got out with the worst attitude, stating our driveway was too small for him to back in. Granted, it was raining and he had to work on a Saturday so we gave him the benefit of the doubt. Listen, my husband works in the service industry and he deals with uppity and entitled people all the time. We are not one of them and tried to give this guy a chance. The technician smoked and talked down to his co-worker the whole time. Third – He dug the hole and found the top of the tank. After he lifted the top, the tank was filled to the brim. THIS IS WHERE YOU EDUCATE YOURSELF. Septic tanks are supposed to the filled to the top with water. The top of the tank has a drain to go into the drain field and the water is there so that the sludge can separate and go to the bottom. Gross stuff. The technician told us that because the tank was full that he’d have to bill us $250. THIS IS NOT TRUE SO DON’T FALL FOR IT. Fourth – After he pumped the entire tank, water was still rushing in from the drain field. He said it was not supposed to do this and that he recommended doing more treatment and/or completely fixing the drain field. Umm no. He then tried to quote us another $2500 worth of work to fix these “problems”. This is how they get paid, upselling the customer. This guy preyed on our ignorance. We did not know much about the process and although we did not fall for it, I can only imagine the people that do. To be frank, no one wants a yard full of crap so you’re like, “ok well I guess we have to do this.” You don’t. We asked him to put the top back on the tank and fill the hole back in. You could tell he was annoyed. There are plenty of videos on Youtube that can show you the process so use those! In the end, I took plenty of photos of the damage made to my yard WITH their truck in the background and luckily, they came to fix it. I was worried they wouldn’t. If you couldn’t tell by the one star, I would not use them again or recommend them to others.
