I have been going to Pika Pika since I was in middle school (8th grade). Now fast forward 8 years as a college graduate about to enter graduate school. I have been a steadfast fan of this place, but have tried all other hair salons both American and Korean within Duluth, Suwanee, Alpharetta, and Atlanta. However, this place used to offer a competitive price and service, which is why I always returned. Now lets look at todays service. As soon as I walk in, a mere teenager decked up in stripper heels and a face caked with makeup walks up to me rudely and asks me what I want. I tell her I want a simple trim and that I am a walk-in, so I will be fine with waiting. She then drags me over to get a shampoo, grabbing my head and SLAMMING it into the water basin. Im in shock as she starts to drown me in cold water and tells me to get closer to said water basin. Then she starts to SCRATCH my scalp and PULL my hair in the guise of a "shampoo." By this time, I tell her to please do it more gently, in which she doesnt even condition my hair and dries my hair by WRINGING it dry. Not like squeezing the water out no. She proceeds to TWIST AND SQUEEZE AND PULL my hair off my head. To make matters worse. She rudely tells me to sit in a chair, as she starts to brush my hair with a fine tooth comb as it is still WET. It is not the fact that she is brushing my hair that is the problem, but the fact the she is intentionally making me become bald early with the pulling and killing the quality of my hair by breaking it. Then she goes off somewhere else with my hair still damp and starting to drip. By this time I am over my shock and now utterly furious. I even have her freaking scratch marks on my scalp to prove she was being rough with me. I ask another assistant how much a shampoo is and if I can leave this abomination called a "hair salon." All the other employees seem to be in shock and dont even offer an apology. Instead, they stand there. I have to say, their customer service is laughable. Then, I go over to Scissor Hands, which is nearby. The male employee at Scissor Hands was lo and behold POLITE and may I even say GENTLE with my hair? Instead of just doing a mere trim for me, he asks me about what I would like in a trim and tries to cheer me up. I believe that now have a new faithful customer.

After Scissor Hands bumped up their prices for mens haircuts from $20 to $25, my wallet protested and I was left without a home to get my haircuts. Ive always heard of Pika Pika (literally 5 steps away from scissor hands), and decided to check it out. I made an appointment the day of with Juno, after reading a lot of good reviews on him. I came in on a Friday afternoon; the place wasnt too busy and I got seated 20 min before my appointment. The person up front is really friendly and CAN SPEAK ENGLISH!! As a Chinese guy, Ive been to many korean hair salons where communication is a big issue. Juno was really nice and friendly, studied the pic I brought and understood what I wanted. During my haircut, he would periodically ask about subtle nuances, e.g., suitable length, sides, etc. I really appreciate stylists who do that, instead of snipping away without saying a word. The mens haircuts come with a wash like most places do, and was good. He also shows you how to style your hair, and explains certain techniques and answers questions thoroughly. Overall, I think my sides were a little shorter than i preferred, but that more or less my fault. My only gripe is that I wished he took more time for my side burns, as well as the edges around my hair line.

This place acknowledges your request but absolutely ignore what youve said. I specifically told the hair dresser for a light trim. Also I asked her to carefully cut the side because my last hair dresser cut my side too high, in which making it look like a mohawk. My hair ended up being too short and told me my side was cut too high. At this moment, I was baffled by her response and ask myself if she was even listening to what Ive told her earlier before the cut. I will not be going to this place ever again. This place doesnt even have a specific owner who is in charge! Pika pika hair salon is a nightmare. I highly recommend you looking elsewhere if you want a hair cut.

It was the worst experience of life. 앞머리 숫쳐서 파먹고 왁스발라서 넘기면 된다는 미용실^^ 왁스 안 바르고 다닌다니까 왁스안바르면 머리를 왜 이렇게 깍아요? 라고 하네요. 무슨 왁스를 매일바르고 다니나요?

Juno the salon owner is the best by far in the hair industry on precision hair cutting and a color expertise! My haircut has never been that precise and my color is in a world of its own. His Japanese colorwaxing technique is amaze balls. The staff is always very informative and knowledgeable and nice. He has great time management skills and his customer service and skill set is outstanding.

Super kind owner and amazing staff. The stylists are all very talented and know what theyre doing when it comes to hair. They use high quality products directly from Korea and Japan, and it really shows in the results. Several of my cousins go here, and Im so glad I decided to check them out. 100% recommended for all hair types. Reasonable prices too.

I come here to cut my hair regularly. There both English and Korean speakers here to facilitate your haircut needs. If you do not know what style you want to go with, they will work with you til you find the haircut that fits your wishes. It cost $20 minimum (without tip) for a Mens haircut.

Made appointment for 1 on the dot. Had to wait 30 mins while they serviced walk in customers first. What is the point of appointments if youre going to waste your customers time. Also had a rushed service as other guests were waiting. Definitely no tip.

Had appointment at 2pm and they put me on a wait for 1 hour still telling me they cant guarantee how much more time I still need to wait? Dont make the appointment if you cant guarantee it! Wasted me 1 hour plus the traffic to this place!

Literally the best haircut place Ive been to. Excellent service and all the stylist are as quick as they are talented. You wont regret visiting. Also the building and decor is very nice and interesting.

The hair dresser asked my request but absolutely ignored. He massed up my hair and said "This is messy style." what..? Still I really dont understand why he just decided to make my hair messy.
