The customer service and the ladies that work in the office were TERRIFIC. They were always friendly and helpful. The one star review is for the following reasons: 1. my storage unit was in a two story building that was supposed to be climate controlled and secure. The climate control aspect was often not working properly and it turns out the building was not so secure. 2. the facility was often overrun by trash and a very noisy and dirty elevator. 3. My unit was one of the units that was recently burglarized. Items were taken from my unit. The office indicated that it was because I did not have a cylinder lock on my unit, they informed me that padlocks are easily tampered with and compromised. The ladies in the office were very helpful and suggested that I contact corporate should I have concerns that they were unable to address. So, I contacted corporate. It took MANY attempts, leaving many voicemails because I could not get anyone on the phone. After many attempts and over a week of trying to get someone on the phone, I received a call and expressed my concerns of safety to a District Manager. The robbery took place during access hours ... and based on the information I received, the cameras really did not pick up enough detailed information to either prevent the burglary or identify the parties involved. My concern was for my safety when visiting my unit. Id hate to come into my unit while something like that was taking place. I suggested some additional safety measures (like real-time cameras connected to local police, individual access codes for customers) to make consumers like me feel safer. Since the incident, I have been extremely cautious and did not visit my unit alone. The District Manager indicated that Public Storage has taken a safety measure by decreasing the access hours from 9pm to 7pm and that Public Storage will not spend more money to implement any additional safety measures, and that if I felt unsafe then maybe I should consider moving my business elsewhere. I did feel unsafe, so I have moved elsewhere. I no longer use Public Storage and never will again!

Secured Not Secured This is my third time using Public Storage and my families second time using this particular location. Until last week I had NEVER had a problem with customer service or my unit being secure. I have a inside climate control unit that was burglarized. My lock was removed and the perpetrators placed their lock on my unit. I was told that the District Manager, Kwame Tyler, was the only one that could cut the lock off. I was told that he was out at an auction but he would be back. I waited from 2:00 pm til 5:00 pm he was a no show after multiple phone calls and text messages. I had no problem scheduling an appointment for a later date and time, but I was assured that he was "on his way". To date Mr. Tyler has yet to return my call he put his staff up to it. When I did speak to Mr. Tyler in person I asked him about replacing my lock that the perpetrators had placed on my unit. He told me that I had to purchase a lock. $19 dollars. I explained to him that in a secured inside storage unit, with cameras, I should not have to replace a lock that he cut off because thrives had VICTIMIZED ME! He just proceeded to tell me what he could NOT do. Management is absolutely horrible. The employees are nice and cover up for their higher ups. District, Kwame Tyler and Regional, Patrick Vanderpool, managers do not return phone calls after several voice messages were left to discuss a burglary of my storage unit and how I was treated. Forrest Park police told me that they have had several calls to that location which leads me to believe that they are removing negative reviews. So for the record SECURED IS NOT SECURED and read your insurance policy before you store your valuable. Only certain things are covered.

I have been renting in unit B356 since August 2014 with Public Storage in Forest Park, Georgia. I have had great experiences with the staff from day one. They are always friendly and willing to help. I believe they truly enjoy helping the clients there. One day I lost my cell phone while retrieving some items from my unit. I called back to the Public Storage office because I was on my way home and the staff member on duty volunteered to go and look in front of the building to see if I dropped it. I could not believe she would be willing to do that for me. Thankfully a client turned it in at the office. But I was still impressed with the customer service. I dont remember her name, but I am very grateful. Laura and Takisha are also very friendly and willing to help. Thanks Public Storage for being nice to me while I make this transition in my life. Bait & Switch!!! I reserved my unit online at a specific price. When I arrived i was switched to different unit (same size) at a much higher price. The Manager on duty (Ms. Laura) was extremely helpful, professional & polite. She told me since I arrived at the unit with my furniture to take the higher price unit and my bill would be adjusted. After several phone calls, several office visits and 30 days later the price has not been adjusted and was told that I should just pay full price. WTH? I may have to move my belongings again... This is a nightmare!!!! 9.6.17 Update: My account was finally adjusted to the correct amount. No additional issues over the past 30 days and I love the cleanliness of the units and facility. Increased my rating from a 1 star to 3 stars.

On Saturday December 21st, I had the wonderful experience to meet Eboni, Laura and Tashika. They were all extremely helpful. I had originally reserved a unit at another location but decided that the Forest Park location would be better for my needs. I was assisted by Eboni after introductions. She showed me several units and was extremely helpful in describing the different sizes. She explained to me that the units were patrolled by Forest Park Police and that they were all very safe. Eboni was extremely efficient at her job and I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. If you are in need of a storage unit, you really need to visit the Forest Park Public Storage and meet the incredible staff there. Thank you. I am very, very happy with my experience.

Very basic, gate hours are too limited, a building map wouldve been helpful to know where all the elevators and bathroom are. There are limited carts available and can only be obtained through the office (rather than in the elevator area). This a rather large location with alot of outdoor units and a huge 3 story building with multiple elevators and access points. The two stars are for the Public Storage company. They needs to revise their policy about transferring units. Existing customers can not reserve units and dont get a discount for upgrading.

This spot has the worst customer service and communication skills. Storages have been broken into, they leave a vague message on your voicemail (no reference to a break in) and when you call back no answer, leave a message and no one returns your call. Some customers were not even notified that their storage was broken in. They charge you almost $20 for a lock because they say its less likely to be broken in but someone who has total access to this property came and popped their $2 latches. One star is too good for them.
