Horrible experience at first I was told over the phone that it would be only $25 on a special deal no other charges and that would be for the first month. When I got there to the storage unit with my things I found out from the desk clerk that I had to pay something like $58 dollars and that my monthly fee would be something like $175, after I was told it would be about $80 a month. They also pro-rated me. When it was time to take my things out of storage after about a month in which I had paid they would not refund me the difference of the pro-rated amount. I took my things out a month early and recieved no prorated refund. Yet they prorated me to get me in there. When I later discussed this with the manager at another location on austell road, The manager laughed at me , a black dude. They are a complete rip off I would not do business with them under any circumstances. They also did not inform me that I would be charged $20 for a lock in which I could have brought my own. When I moved into my new place I discovered before I could unpack that I had transported roaches from the storage unit. My place is contaminated with them now.

The people who work at this location are nice and have good customer service. I have had much worst experiences with storage places including other public storage before. I cant give this place five stars because the units have this terrible foam insulation on the ceilings that falls all over your belongings when the hard rain patters against the ceilings. I was told its non-toxic but the mess is annoying nonetheless. I wish that each time i went to the storage i didnt have to bring a broom for this nonsense. Other than that the prices I received online were competitive and I didnt see an increase until after in the storage 1 year and 1 month. I could recommend this location.

Great customer service experience with Courtnie from the time we called to get a quote to the time we decided to use the facility. Within 2 mins of calling to get a quote from the call center, we got a call from Courtnie at the actual location. Once we arrived and walked up to the desk, Courtnie was very professional and helpful and we even had a few laughs to make the experience more personalized and gave us the at ease feeling of our decision. Thank you Courtnie!! (she had to give us a tour of the unit and it was really hot outside but she walked us to the unit. She needs a golf cart or something but she was still so pleasant and didnt complain at all)

The storage units are very nice, a bit pricey tho. And the customer service SUCKS. Been there once (during business hours) and there was a sign in the window that said "Be back in 30mins" and waited there well over 45 minutes. Everytime I called (during business hours) I got no answer, left a voicemail and a woman called me back after an hour and was VERY rude over the phone, she said I couldnt pay my bill over the phone and she told me try to pay it online and HUNG up on me!! HOW RUDE!! I would suggest to anyone to try a different storage place or another location. Im considering taking my business elsewhere too.

After hearing my concerns, the Public Storage in Smyrna, GA was prompt and quick to address the concerns of its tenants! There was an issue with timing of how they were going to perform a service which was made inconvenient for me, but they listened and rectified the situation. Thank you for putting customer service first! (previous comment has been edited and the stars upgraded): "... I followed my portion of your procedure (ON TIME)... I now have to wait ... AFTER following your procedures correctly..." "A business should do everything in its power to abide by its own rules & policies!"

I have been training Customer Service Managers for over 25 years, and have been surprised and disappointed with the poor level of service and lackadaisical attitude of many businesses. I work hard for my money, and expect good services and products when I spend it, otherwise I will go elsewhere. If I can take time to complain, I will also take time to commend, case and point: Public Storage in Smyrna, GA. It has two of the most competent employees I have had to the pleasure to encounter, Francesca and Shaun. They are a breath of fresh air, and I highly recommend that facility.

I was pleasantly pleased with Francescas and Caseys professionalism, kindness and patience as I asked my many questions. Both individuals made the entire process of renting and closing out my account an easy process. I love love love this place. I was there about five years ago when Francesca was an employee and did business with her. She was and is great! Very pleasant. I am now back again and had the distinct pleasure to do business with Courtnie, who was also very pleasant despite a major toothache. Po baby. I was just looking for an inexpensive small storage unit and so glad I picked this location. Francesca was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the whole process. Even though this location wasnt the closest to my home it was worth the few extra miles! Its just basic storage but what a pleasant surprise to do business with a pleasant, friendly and knowledgeable employee!! She is definitely an asset to Public Storage! Franchesca the manager at this location is first class!!! She is always attentive and helpful and willing to help no matter what. I have moved up to larger units three times and she is always right there to help and make it a smooth easy transition. My business has grown so fast I cant keep up sometimes, but I feel like Public Storage is my partner. Thanks Franchesca you are the best!!!!!!!! :)

People great. Procedure that the company makes them go through not so much. Part of the problem was my lack of knowledge on renting a unit. I should have done my homework regarding home owners insurance and the coverge they would supply for the unit. Pain in the butt to cancel the insurance that was offered that I didnt need. Not Shawns fault. Public Storages fault.
