I am an over-the-road truck driver and yesterday I got a call from my wife that her car was having issues and had stopped running while driving down the highway in Grayson. She was worried due to the fact that she had our two daughters and their friends with her as well. One of the problems with having the career that I have is my inability to be there for my family in times such as this. People were telling us to call some of the local back yard mechanics in the area but I didnt trust my Lexus going to just anyone and this was really the very first time our car had let us down in 4 years. I was unsure which to call since I did a Google search and Christian Brothers was the first one who popped up. I saw they had 60.reviews and almost all positive (you cant be in business and please everyone, I know that) so I gave them a call. Kevin (the owner) answered the phone and was kind and courteous from the beginning to the end of our conversation. I told him about my job (far from home), then about my wife and daughters were broke down. I asked if they had a tow company that could get to them quickly to.see that they were safe. He said that he did have one and that he needed there location, I told him that I would have my wife call him, and give him directions to her location. He assured me that he had daughters of his own and that he would take care of them. For some reason, after I got off the phone with Kevin, well, I felt like he was being genuine and that he would do as he said. I called my wife and had her call him. About ten minutes later my wife calls me and tells me that Kevin was sending a tow truck but hopped in a vehicle, came down to where they were, and gave them all a ride home so they wouldnt be stuck there waiting on tow truck. The tow truck came, got the, car, and they fixed my car for less than I thought it was going to be. Moral of my review...Any company can have a car towed and then fix the car. Christian Brothers went above and beyond to see that not only my car was taken care of but also that my family was safe...needless to say that they have earned a lifetime customer!! Im thankful and my family is thankful knowing we have people like that in our community!!!

EXPENSIVE! This is the kind of place to go if you want to go into a clean nice waiting room with free wifi, bottled water and coffee, the workers are dressed nice and very cordial, and you want to drop your car off and say " fix it, add on anything you want, and whatever the cost is - Ill pay it". If youre cost-conscious at all, not your place. In my experience, they tried to up-sale me and add on numerous items I didnt ask for, and then charge an inordinate cost. I needed an alternator, and they wanted to charge $350 for one that I could get easily get for $200. They had a multitude of excuses as to why they charge so much more. I had a diagnostic test down which told me that I needed an alternator - which I already knew, and they charged that on top of the repair. Most shops apply that to the overall repair costs - not this place, its in addition to the repairs. And what did I get for the $49 diagnostic charge? A print out of issues - no, nothing, just a worker standing there telling me that I needed a new alternator, thatll be $49, sucker. After all that, I told them I would take it elsewhere so I could have it fixed much cheaper. Still had to pay $49 for the diagnostic test which I got nothing for. Sure the place is clean and cordial, but it want your car fixed at a reasonable price, dont go to CBA.

I had my truck towed there on a Sunday after the tranny failed. I would not have done so had I known better. They quoted me $2800 being the cheapest repair option. I told them that was expensive so I would call them after I thought about it. I called Mr. Transmission and told him what had happened. He told me $2000 worst case and they would tow it there and test it free of charge. Of course I agreed. I then called CBA back and told them I was having it picked up and taken somewhere else because they were too expensive for me. He said he would get it ready to go I just needed to pay him $90 for the test to tell me that the tranny had an "internal malfunction". I told him I already knew that and wasnt sure why I had to pay him $90 to state the obvious. He said he had to pay for his machine and technician. I payed it and Mr. Transmission picked it up and called me with actual details to what was wrong with it before charging me anything. The people at CBA were friendly but not $1000 more friendly. If you are one of those clueless people from the city with no need to budget your money CBA is your place.

I had used the same mechanic for years but after moving to Grayson I wanted to find an automotive repair shop that was closer to my home. I decided to give Christian Brothers a try after reading some reviews online. I am always a little skeptical of reviews as they tend to be overly negative or overly positive but I was pleasantly surprised after my first visit. My car was making a noise and I could not figure out where it was coming from. When I dropped my car off the attendant was very polite and attentive. They called me when the problem was diagnosed and gave me the price over the phone. When I picked up my car (the same day I dropped it off) the price was the same as I was quoted. Everyone I dealt with was very professional and courteous. When my wifes car needed work done, I did not hesitate to drop it off at Christian Brothers. The service I received was consistent with my first visit. If you are looking for an automotive repair shop in the Grayson area, I would highly recommend Christian Brothers.

We heard about Christian Brothers on the Fish 104.7 and decided to give them a try. They are always ready and willing to take our vehicle for service, oil change, repair, or whatever we need the same day we call which is GREAT for our busy schedule. We had them fix my car first this year, and we were so pleased, we then took our farm truck in which they made the old girl purr like a kitten. Of course, since things come in threes my husbands car needed to be serviced just this week. As always, Jeff answered the phone and said "bring it on in." Not only did they call us with their findings - but informed us that since his car was still under warranty with the manufacturer, we should take it to the dealership to be repaired for free. Who does that in this day and age? We had no idea we were covered. To us, that was just one more notch in their belt for being a business with integrity. Go see Jeff and crew - you wont be sorry!
