Let me begin by saying "Dont waste your time"! My daughters and I were told to come in at 7 and they would get started on our hair. There was only 1 lady here and she kept calling to see if others would come in. Finally another lady arrived shortly after 8 and the rest of the ladies trickled in at various hours afterwards. Ive been to this salon before and had high hopes of the same service. My younger daughter was finished first and wasnt so happy because it took so long. I finished at about 1:45 and went to get food. No sooner than I got 5 minutes down the street, I noticed my hair unraveling. I have Senegalese twists so apparently they werent sealed properly. I decided to inspect all of my hair and discovered that there was hair left out at the nape of my neck. I told them when I came back in and she said that she will fix it. My oldest baby was still in the chair getting her hair done and I was then told to pay. I asked why are you requesting payment and were not even done? The young lady just said can you please pay now again. I reluctantly obliged, even though we werent finished, and was swiftly told cash only. There is nowhere posted that its cash only, I wasnt told beforehand, and they have all of the credit card logos posted on the door. The lady that scheduled us then proceeded to lie and say that she told me over the phone. I booked the appointment days ago and there was nothing mentioned!! They told me to go to the atm and I asked that they call the other locations that they have to see if they can take my payment over the phone. They called the owner and she apologized and said that they are having issues with the credit card machine and authorized it to be used as a debit instead. Im not crazy as I know that if the machine is down then you cant do either. Her husband called back and apologized and spoke with the ladies in what I believe was French. All I heard was raised voices. They handed the phone back to me and the owners to be had changed. He was apologetic but a bit perturbed. He told me that he heard his wife gave me a discount already so he wanted to give me $20 off for the inconvenience. The $30 off was a discount that is posted in their website if you book 2 or more services over $150 on the same day. Did I mention that no one in the shop knew of the discount so the lady owner had to ok it?!! If you advertise something and I qualify, please dont act like you are doing me a favor by honoring it. Lastly, he agreed to take my credit card payment if I allowed one of the ladies to take a picture of my drivers license with their phone. I blew a gasket!! I told him that he was treating me as if I was a criminal as no other establishment requires a picture if my license to use my credit card which coincidentally has my wedding picture as the card design. I did not allow them to photograph it with someones cell phone. They agreed to my original idea of calling one of his other salons and having them take my payment over the phone. I pulled a piece of paper out of my purse and wrote the authorization down and signed it and gave it to them if it was an issue. I was told to wait on them to fax the credit receipt to the business next door so I needed to wait. 5 minutes later apparently the owner called and said dont worry about it. Never again will I patronize any of their establishments and I implore you not to either....

In October 2013 I went in for loc extensions. Initially the staff seemed friendly and knowledgeable about the technique, I showed them the technique I wanted used the style and size of the locs I wanted. Unfortunately I didnt know much about the install and left it up to the staff. Here is where things went wrong. FOUR different women worked on my head at the same time. Each beautician platted my hair in different sizes. Very tiny around my edges med. Sized in the middle. I had to run to the store to buy more hair 2x because they could not gage how much was really needed. I used two different colors with were not strategically blended to to look natural. The locs were wrapped extremely tight unnatural looking. I have had someone do repairs to the locs I was informed at that time the install was actually just yarn braids that I brought 100% human hair for thus the reason my hair did not lock after several months and I was able to take them down myself! In addition the price I was originally quoted was increased unexpectedly at the end of the install by $200.00 after the owner was called. The increase was due to the amount of people that needed to be paid that worked on my head. Although I did not request multiple people to do so. It is Now April and I recently cut the locs out of my head because of thinning around my edges as well as bubbles. I do not recommend this salon for major work, quick hair styles at the most. I also did not like the fact that when speaking to you it is hard to understand them, they speak in their own language to you and about you however they sing every song on the radio in perfect English. Huge communication breakdown!

I am now an adult and started coming to this place, when I was a sophomore in high school. I moved to north Georgia and still made a 2 hour plus trip their and back home. I have had two incidents that I cant forgive occur and just a general complaint about the staff. I had crochets braids installed with nail glue had second thoughts trusted it and ended up with nail glue on my scalp. I have photos that show where a huge space was left open and covered by other hair that was installed. Just a complete disaster.... Today, I went and had senegalese twist installed. I wanted them long enough to that they could be simply put into a bun nothing extra. I clearly communicated that. I was told at the time of making the appointment that depending on length it would start at $150. I was advised by Awa that in order to achieve the bun I would need the $180 length. In this situation as well I FAILED to do my homework. My senegalese twist did not have to be that long. Anyways they normally take 4 hours to complete today it took excuse my language damn near 7 hours. I was excited because finally I had a different stylist three actually. The previous girl who always ended up doing my hair is very careless, and has poor customer service. If she isnt into it then prepare for a disaster. Finishing up my senegalese twist while trimming the loose hairs these "young lady" cuts the twist, but not to where it causes it to unravel at that time. This particular stylist is mostly in the back on the right side. So to wrap this up after years of loyalty I am now looking to take my business elsewhere.
