Horrible experience! My husband and I visited their Norcross location on May 10, 2012 for a couples massage and I was to get a facial and he was to get a pedicure. Both of us had excellent massages which was the only upside to the visit. My esthetician was terrible, she was rude and did nothing but massage my face? She spent less than 2 minutes on extractions, which is the reason I have facials, and my skin looked no better than before, I still had several visibly clogged pores. Why did I pay for a facial again? When I was done I found out that I was having to wait on my husband because his pedicure appointment ran 45 minutes late! We scheduled our appointments at the same time so we would be done at the same time. We do have children and the sitter was expecting us to be done an hour before we actually got out of there. I did leave a review on their site and they did extend a $50 spa credit to me due to my facial experience (another facial is $90) but I will most definitely NOT be using it. I am leaving this review mostly because an additional $5 was charged to our debit card after we left! We have attempted several times to resolve this issue with the spa to no avail! The girl who checked us out stated that she forgot to add the extra $5 charge to have a prenatal massage to our bill so she charged the extra amount to our card after we left. What? You cant do that! If you made a mistake and forgot to charge me thats your problem. You cant just take extra money out of someones bank account. The very least she could have done was called my husband or myself and stated that she had made a mistake and asked if it would be ok to charge the additional $5. What if we didnt have the $5 then wed be looking at bank fees! So far no manager has returned my call and it seems that I get the girl that added the extra charge every time I call so I dont even think shes passing on the message. Her response to us was "Its just five dollars". She genuinely doesnt understand that its not the amount thats the issue its the principal. You can just take unauthorized money out of someone bank account and think its ok! Theres a reason this spa has an F rating with the Better Business Bureau!

Ive been going to Spa Sydell (not often, once/twice a year) for many years, and my latest experience was so aweful that I vow to never return and will advise friends to find somewhere else to go. I had a prepaid pedicure series of 3 - (never, ever again will I prepay for any service) and when I booked my third appointment, the appointment setter booked the wrong Saturday. I recd a phone message from the Spa the day of the incorrect appt. and they asked me to call back. After 5 attempts at calling back (line was busy each time) I finally decided to call the main booking line and let them know the appoint. was incorrect. I spoke w/ another appt setter who apologized for the mistake and we booked for the correct Saturday. I was told my prepayment was used to pay for the Saturday "no show". I explained this was NOT a no-show, the appointment setter booked the wrong date. I was told that they would speak to their manager, but not to worry it would be taken care of, and I would hear from them if there were any concerns. .... So I go to the appointment on the correct date, only to be told that I had to pay. I explained the situation and was told that I would have to speak to yet another manager and that if I wanted my service I would have to pay. I walked out. I had paid already - I had plenty of communication with them to clarify the matter - they apparently didnt "handle it" like I was told they would - and they tried to get even more $$ from me. So I am officially out $50 (not a cheap pedi, btw) but at least I wasnt stupid enough to pay them again. I am completely disappointed by the lack of professionalism from this company and I suggest to others they find a Spa that is more customer focused and not so short-sighted. They lost a customer for life (and others, I have lots of friends) over one customer satisfaction issue - THEIR mistake to begin with.

Worst experience ever. From the phone call just to make the appt was a issue and the woman rude. Then I asked the rep for the price of my treatment she 100% gave me a price which was exactly what the site said also. Once I got there, the tech argued that it was not that price it was higher, I was very confused. I showed her the site from my phone, she said she would let them know not to charge me that higher price she said, we then went on with my treatment which obviously wasnt what I asked for but still felt good!..however, when I was finished and got to the desk the lady charged me extra, (I had a gift certificate) I said no mam its not that price..she rudely argues back and forth with me about it and I show her the site from my phone then she says "thats weird" in a nasty tone instead of actually applogizing for all the arguing they just handed me, her and the tech so she charges me the CORRECT PRICE and says "youre good to go" thats it. Mind you, this is a SPA, we come here to relax correct? Thats not at all what I did here today. I left feeling more tense than before I went it. Thats how you treat ANY customer? Then you dont deserve their business. I felt like I was at Mcdonalds in line at the drive thru. Please people dont waste your time or money here. Massage envy is better, they dont try to rip off their customers and they care about them also. This place does NOT. This is my first review, I normally wouldnt ever write one, but my experience was so horrible I had to.

My husband gave me a $90 gift certificate along with the "$20 off any service of $90 or more" coupon for Valentines Day. I visted the Forum spa for a Body Polish and Body Wrap ($150). When I came into the spa, I was offered a Fast Facial for 15% off by the lady at the desk. I said ok. At the time of checkout, I presented my gift card and coupon and was told that the coupon could not be combined with the gift card. I also said that I was not interested in the recommended products. The cashier called the manager to the desk and she agreed that they could not honor the coupon "because of the fine print." The fine print on the coupon clearly reads "Not redeemable with series. Cannot be combined with any other offer. No cash value. Not redeemable for cash or gift certificate." No where on the coupon did it say that it could not be combined with the gift certificate. Not only were the manager and cashier rude and disrespectful, they clearly were not properly trained or informed. After all this, I noticed that my bill was still high. I questioned the amount and the cashier said that she had included the products that I had specifically stated that I didnt want. At this point I had spent 15 minutes arguing and said to just forget it and left. Tanya was wonderful and I would go back to her again for services, but as it stands now, I WILL NEVER walk back into a Spa Sydell.
