My car failed emissions with a code PO420 - bad catalytic converter and I stopped here to get 1 of 3 estimates before I have the car repaired. The desk guy told me hed need to see the car to see what kind of converter it has. After brushing off some dust on the Vehicle Emission Control Information, he proclaimed my Avalon has a California converter and that the replacement would be a little over $400. I told him, no, actually the VEC Information tag says the car CANNOT be sold or delivered to an ultimate purchaser for principal use in California. He then took another hasty look and said yes, but it also says "Florida"..(...well NO, sir, it actually says - FORNIA since CaliFORNIA is truncated on the sticker.) When I balked at the steep price, he then offered to install a heavy metal converter for only "$220 drive out" but that they typically only last about a year or two. As I understand it, only 13 states have adopted Californias clean air standards and Georgia is not one of them. Ive been in sales for 29 years so believe me when I say you DO NOT have to lie or misrepresent things to customers to sell. Most of the companies Ive worked for will fire you if you do that. The guy was either hastily incompetent or deliberately misrepresented my needs in an effort to up-sell me to a converter that I do not need in Georgia. I voted with my feet & suggest all shop her by Caveat Emptor - "Buyer Beware". These kinds of guys bring disrepute on honest mechanics who live by their sweat and integrity each day.

Great price, worst experience, after getting a oil change drove up the rode 1 mile and ate came to my car, started driving my speedometer stopped working, and I had no pick up on my car. Went right back to tell them they were rude, and just the manager looked at the top at my car for five seconds said nothing he could do. Went to get corporate number and told me not to come back and cursed at me. I am 6 months pregnant and never had this problem with a Meineke ever. DO NOT GO THERE. They will be reported to the better business bureau immediately and to corporate.

On three occasions they have told me they would find the problem with my car without charging me unless I authorized them to do the work. One time the cost of the repairs out weighed the cost of the car and they just put it together without hassling me. Another time they were cheaper than the competition I had brought the car too first. The last time they were unable to repair the a/c compressor but provided a free conversion. In my opinion they are honest and inexpensive. I do continue to go back here because I feel like I will not get ripped off.

I took my car to this Meineke shop for a second opinion about noise from my exhaust system, though I did not tell them that. They found not one but three problems; fixed it while I waited; and their bill was a third of the estimate the first shop had given me for the one problem they had found. The Meineke technician, Jason, was professional, diligent, and friendly. I was really shocked when they offered a small discount off their original price! I have a check engine light for P0420 Catalytic Convertor . The mechanic told me it will cost $800 to replace the cat but after I put the car in the shop the owner called me and and said that the job will cost $1500 and then he dropped to $1400 and eventually told me "his last price is $1100". I did not fix my car there instead I shopped around and replaced the catalytic in Norcross muffler garage for $330 what a luck.

Great Service! I have a few older cars and these guys have been taken care of them for me for the past 4-5 years. They always find an effective solution to whatever my car problem is and I never feel like I am being "upsold" to spend money on unnecessary work like I do at the dealership. I recommend them frequently to family and friends.

Took my car in once for a catalyic converter, had problems, and was forced to keep taking it back because it was under warranty. To make a long storey short, I had three put on, my warranty ran out, and then I was out of luck. They are very unprofessional, the shop looks like someones messy garage at home, STAY AWAY!

Great people working in the shop. Recently exhaust work done on my new car and it came out great. Noticed a few tweaks could be made and they got it done. Would recommend for exhaust work for sure.

Great Service. Went out of their way to save me money by welding a custom piece onto my exhaust for $85 rather than a $700 replacement, and did the job quickly. Great Stuff.
