ATTENTION ALL FUTURE MEMBERS. 05/28/2014 I have experienced theft and a loss of total $900 at this LA Fitness location. I went to workout for 30 minutes on Friday 05/23/2014 and when i came back to take a shower i noticed someone broke into my locker, cut the lock with the bolt cutter and stole my cell phone brand new samsung galaxy note 3 and my valet. I reported this to the Police immediately but they couldnt do more then just give me a case number. They told me things get stolen at LA Fitness all the time and the GYM is not doing anything against it. I spoke to the GYMs managers but they only said that they are sorry and that i should call corporate office - customer care phone line. Once i called them and told them my story they just said they are sorry but they do not reimburse nor they are liable for lost or stolen items. THIS IS THE BIGGEST PERVERSION OF ALL TIMES. you provide lockers and encourage people to come to your nice gym, to have showers, swimming pool and use the sauna and the fine gym equipment and enjoy the time spend here - feel safe and then you can not even perform duty of care and provide one simple thing safety and theft prevention for your customers. I dont know who stole my cell and my valet but this could also have been an inside JOB. Who walks around with a bolt cutter ? how is it possible that no one has seen anything suspicious ? Why didnt they put flyers in the gym to try to resolve this ... someone must have seen something ?! LA Fitness has not taken reasonable steps to protect customers and their property. My privacy and my property has been violated and I did not feel protected by LA Fitness at no point of time even when this was brought to their attention ... all i heard was " yeah it happens - we are sorry, we dont reimburse" I did not pay my enrollment fee and my monthly membership fees to come to the LA fitness facility and have my stuff stolen. I signed up with this gym because i had very high opinion about the brand LA Fitness but now that i have seen how they take care of their customers i have changed my mind completely. This company has a nice nationwide concept but their customer service sucks ASS. I was at Golds Gym for 4 years and nothing got stolen from me ever , i used the same lock for 4 years that was cut at the LA Fitness gym. Nothing against the individuals, employees that work there personaly. They are OK it is the policy against THEFT in place and the professional attitude that does not protect the customer and their property. I would not sign up again with this gym at all and if i was not sorry about my enrollment fee $200 i would be gone and have cancelled my membership with them the very next moment this happened to me. But they are not willing to even give me my enrollment fee back as a way of apologie that this happen at their gym while they at duty and liable ... all they said is " we can cancell your membership but can not give you your initiation fee back ... " which is more than ridiculous. THIS IS YOUR CALL. IF YOU WANT TO NOT HAVE A PEACE OF MIND ABOUT YOUR SAFETY AND YOUR BELONGINGS FEEL FREE TO SIGN UP WITH THIS PLACE. The gym facility is OK, the machines are fine.

My son was a VICTIM OF A CRIME at the Sandy Springs, GA LA Fitness Location. On Friday evening, August 11, 2017, at approximately 8:30 - 9:00 PM a strange man approached my son and his racquetball partner at the Sandy Springs LA Fitness location, and asked to join in their game. They refused the request and the man proceeded to start stretching out in the area to the rear of the racquetball area. He then reached into my sons bag and grabbed his I-Phone cell phone and darted away. When my son saw this, he immediately took off after him, chasing him through the facility. The man ran through one of the back rooms where a couple of other members were doing yoga, and out the Emergency Exit door of the facility. He then disappeared into the pitch black darkness. My son returned into the fitness area and approached the front desk staff who was working out on the Stair Climber machine while all of this was happening. She allowed my son to search through all of the photos of the members who entered the facility that night. They did not locate the thiefs picture; nor did any of the members bring in guests that evening who we could question or possibly identify this person. The operations manager stated to me the emergency exit door was not working when opened and it did not properly alarm the staff. Additionally, the woman who should have been at the front desk monitoring and screening individuals by membership badge as they entered the facility, was working out on a Stair Climber machine during her work hours instead of ensuring the safety of the members. Furthermore, the gate in the rear of the facility leading to the apartment complex behind the location was not secure, but left open and unlocked; which further gave this criminal access to the facility and an escape route. (See attached video.) My son called the police and they came and completed a police report of the incident. I believe LA Fitness was extremely negligent in ensuring the safety of my son. They are refusing to take any responsibility for their negligence.

Warning! No security cameras here. Phones and valuables are stolen regularly, just ask members or the staff. Come empty handed or keep your belongings on your person. No where is safe! Older front desk lady is very indifferent and offers poor customer service, she needs to retire to a back office away from living beings--sorry that was harsh, but its not an isolated opinion lol. Theres one intelligent, skinny staff kid there thats pretty awesome. He actually gives a damn and will take time to make you feel appreciated and deserves a managment nod. Missed his name, but you will know who it is when you speak to him. The old carpet needs to be pulled and replaced with that new flooring at the other locations. Cardio equipment is squeaky and feels like you will be the one that breaks it. Lockers need replacing. Showers need remodeling. Side note* the elderly seem to love being nude during their entire dress routine. I understand after a shower, but my guy, can you not brush your teeth, comb your hair, stretch, drink water, chat up strangers, all with not even a pair of drawers on?! I know its Atlanta, but cmon sir! No fs given at all lol Good price for basic membership, $30. Evenings get crowded and are better for group classes. If you try to get a lift in during that time, good luck with that.

Honestly the more of something there is the less likely each one is going to be fabulous. And the more people that go, they less likely it will be fabulous. Thats how LA Fitness is so its kind of what you should expect. I like this location because it has a pool. Its not the best but it serves it purpose. This location also has racquet ball courts, spin classes, a boot camp style training area, and a basketball court. The usual cardio equipment, free weights, racks and barbells and weight machines. It does get pretty crowded in here and in January you are going to be waiting for a cardio machine. Also I think because there is a basketball court, there are a lot of guys at this location. So if youre woman and dont like to be around a lot of guys, this is not the place for you. Overall this location is clean and efficient. There is lots of parking and its in the same area as Nori Nori and Canton Cooks so getting a meal before or after, gives you some good options!
