I had my car towed to Aamco, and they found and fixed the issue, and it was not expensive. The owner is heavily involved in day-to-day operations, and I feel this has a wonderful effect on the operation of the business. I feel compelled to add to this review. While the transmission repairs were just fine, I began to notice a noise in the suspension after I had the axle replaced. Also, the air conditioning recharge I got didnt result in cool air. I took the car back about the suspension noise, and the owner said the shop didnt see or hear anything which indicated a problem. I had to take my car to the dealer to get new keys, since my car has the kind with the chip in it. The dealer had to replace the computer inside, so I asked them to look at the A/C and the suspension. They said I needed an A/C charge, the same service I had gotten previously at Aamco. They also said that the strut was on backwards. They said that the strut was new, too, which made me wonder what all was done at Aamco. I had the dealer do the A/C recharge, and my A/C has worked flawlessly ever since. I took my concerns to the owner, and he claimed they had actually done the A/C work. He also said the strut and the axle had nothing to do with each other. In light of the fact that I had previously brought the car into his shop for the very same noise to which the dealer attributed the improperly installed strut, I simply have no confidence in their ability to troubleshoot or repair non-transmission related items. I also find it incredulous that they ever actually did the A/C recharge. I do not believe the owner was actually lying, but I also do not believe that he knew with certainty that the service had been performed.

Took my truck there to get diagnosed after it started not shifting properly. They test drove it for maybe 5 minutes then tell me I need to replace the entire transmission without even looking in pan to look for any signs of wear, metal shavings, etc. I ask how much the replacement transmission would cost and they tell me they dont know and that they have to call their supplier. I called back the next day after theyve had all day to price one even though they are a transmission shop and should probably know what it should cost within an hour since this is their "specialty " and they still didnt have a price. I took the truck to a different very reputable transmission shop and got it fixed within 24 hours and I didnt need a new transmission. I needed a few solenoids is all!! Ill never use or recommend Aamco EVER!

I printed out a coupon from their website and brought it in for a transmission diagnostics. They did the diagnostics and advised me that the transmission needed replacing. The price for a re-manufactured one was higher than i was willing to pay. Therefore, I did not do the repair there. I appreciate the fact that they took their time to explain the issue to me and explained the options but DID NOT HAGGLE and HUSTLE ME and tell me that the sky would fall on my car and that Tibet would invade China if I did not do the repair there. They did not get my business this time but they certainly will in the future. Thank you Guys! See you soon.

Great service and price. I am a school teacher and it is very difficult for me to have time to take my car in for repairs. When I told the owner of the Snellville AAMCO my situation he coordinated with me to have my car picked up from work and brought back to me in the afternoon before I finished work for the day!! The staff was courteous explaining all of the problems with my suv clearly and telling me the problems that must be fixed right away and the others that could wait. I will take my car here for service in the future and would recommend them to anyone no matter how complicated the job!! - Brook

My mother-in-law has used this location for all sorts of car issues that have popped up. I recently took my car there for a look-see. My car has 280k, and has never had a major tune up. The price we paid was fair and as in other reviews all the charges and work done were thoroughly explained. The car is running like new. My husband wanted to sell it as it was running so bad, but now I think Ill get another 280k miles out of it! Very satisfied with the work, customer service and friendliness. Absolutely will recommend to other family and friends

Although I presented Gary with an unusual situation (check out a vehicle that we were considering buying) while we stayed at home in IL, he met the challenge! His team gave the truck a good look over and provided us with a detailed account of the necessary safety repairs as well as some minor ones. Given it need a new transmission and all new brakes, we decided to pass on the purchase. There was no charge! If we are ever anywhere near Snellville, I would love to stop in and say thank you in person!

My sister in law recently took her car here for servicing and loved it! The staff was friendly and trustworthy, from the mechanics to the management. Her recommendation was so high, I started taking my fleet of trucks to the Aamco on Buford Highway and I had the same experience. It took me a long time to find a reliable car service center that I could trust in the Atlanta area and now I have found it!

Great Service. I brought my car in for what I thought was a major transmission repair. I dont know a thing about how a vehicle works or how much a repair costs. To my surprise my major transmission repair ended up costing less than $300. Thank you Craig and Mathew for taking care of me! The new manager and owner are the best! I recommend AAMCO in Snellville to anyone who needs a vehicle repaired.

I had my vehicle at an auto shop for 3 days in Kennesaw GA (spend $800) and when I left the shop the car had the same problem. I paid $130 to tow my car to the AAMCO in Snellville. Their mechanic was able to diagnose and fix the car within 24 hours. The staff was courteous and informative with any questions I had. I would recommend this shop to everyone no matter how complex the issue.

I had my sons Toyota Matrix repaired here and they went above and beyond to repair it properly. They told me all that had to be done and if they discovered another issue when they took the vehicle apart they advised me before doing the work. I would recommend this Aamco to anyone who wants an excellent and honest auto repair shop.

I was surprised at how eager the management was to answer my questions and help me with my car care needs. I recently moved to the metro Atlanta area and I have been looking to find a shop that I can consistantly take my vehicle for check-ups and unexpected problems, and I think this Aamco is it.
