Watch your debit/credit statement closely afterwards! Happened upon the shop, needed 2 copies of auto keys made, was charged more than City Mill or Home Depot charges, but not too bad. Nice women working at the counter. Limited selection of keys/key related accessories (almost non-existent). The younger woman got the keys made, and they worked, and still work great. Used my credit card which has immediate notifications of all charges made. The next morning at around 1030, my phone alerted me to another charge from the shop for nearly $80 made to my card. What! Called the number, spoke with a Richard who said he was the store manager (I asked for the owner). Explained what happened. He did not seem to care and said it wasnt his problem. I told him I would then report the shop for fraud and also reverse the charges through my credit card company. He changed his tune slightly and said I needed to talk with a Bruma who handles these transactions, and gave me a different number. I called, and she immediately knew why I was calling, apologized, said she voided the charges and blamed it on a computer problem. Im skeptical... Might be true, might not be. Because of this incident, and Richards attitude, the shop gets a 2 star rating. Suggest going elsewhere.

This guy is completely unprofessional. I called to ask for a part and get hung up on. I continued calling back and he finally answered and I asked if he hangs up on all his potential customers. He stated I already asked him about a part and I need to call his son and he sent me a text message. He never sent a text, but I hung up. He then called me back and said "so thats all you wanted to do was call me back to hang up on me right?" And then hung up on me again. I texted him back telling him he was a disgrace to security professionals (I am in security) everywhere and he then told me I should go back to the mainland where I belong. Stay very far away from this "security professional" that clearly knows nothing about customer service or basic decency. ***EDIT Rick called me about 5 minutes after I posted this review (or on Google) and said "Thanks for the review. Thats what Im talking about with you mainland people. You think thats going to affect my business? It wont. F***ing a**hole." and then hung up on me again. Rick, if this review isnt going to affect your business, why even bother calling to call me names like were 12?

I recently purchased a used 2005 Honda Accord when I moved to Oahu. The key that the previous owner had was on its last legs (case was cracking, made starting the car precarious). The dealers I called wanted ~$200 to make a replacement key. This is a laser cut key that has notches on both sides, so Walmart/Home Depot/Lowes werent an option. I called a few locksmiths and some of them didnt even know what type of key I needed. I called Affordable Lock and key and the person I spoke with knew exactly what I needed. He told me what time to come in and I went to the their location on South Beretania. When I arrived they quickly started working a replacement key for me. It took about 30 minutes and when I brought it out to the car it worked perfectly. To top it all off, they charged less than I was quoted over the phone. $50 for the whole replacement key, cutting included. I will certainly come back here for any locksmithing needs I have in the future.

Needed a VW Beetle key cut, no one on the big island would do it.. These guys cut two keys for $35 each(we provided the blanks), this is a complicated laser cut key with the milled channel. They have a CNC machine that reads the key and then cuts it. We could not test the keys because the car was back on the big island. When we got home one worked great! The other key had a slight defect where one channel was not cut deep enough, it may not have been in the vice properly, they have to be cut on both sides. I called them on Oahu and they offered to recut the channel deeper if I mailed it there and back. Got it back and now both keys work great. This problem would have been easy to find if you had a car nearby, but in the end it all worked out. The dealer wanted to charge $150+ just for one key, they would not cut my key blanks. I called 3 other places on Oahu too and no one else would cut my key blank. Would recommend.

They changed my locks for a very affordable rate and showed up right when they said they were going to in addition to giving me four new sets of keys. The woman in the office and they guy who came out (I believe his name was Ryan) where both very kind!
