Tory from 24/7 Chicago Locksmith is FANTASTIC! He was professional, extremely knowledgable, friendly and sincere. I called Chicago Locksmiths today (Thursday) and they were able to schedule an appointment a couple hours out which helped me tremendously because I am taking the day off. Other places I called didn’t even entertain the idea, since it’s not an “emergency”, and pushed me off until later next week. Which isn’t terrible… I’m just impressed that Chi Locksmiths was so flexible and tried their best to cater to my schedule. When Tory got to my condo, he got right to work. I called him because I had previously tried to replace the deadbolt myself but thought I had to drill the hole larger for the new lock to fit. I was wrong. He quickly pointed that out in a nice way, and replaced the lock with ease, while explaining the various options I might consider in the future for locks that were much more secure (and couldn’t be picked). I asked him out of curiosity, if he knew anything about why my bathroom door wouldn’t shut after I had some painters remove the door during the job. He just tightened the screws and had explained that by just taking the door on and off the hinge, it had loosened up the screws. We also talked about (upon my prompting, of course) how the original contractor did not fully carve out a hole large enough to fit the door latch so despite locking the door, it could easily be pushed open. He actually took out some tools to carve the hole deeper and then (!) hand scaped/filed down the metal cover to fit perfectly. He is a perfectionist which is reassuring to someone like me, who is the same. I will definitely be calling him when I decide to change out my lock to a more secure version and would recommend him to my friends and family any day! I will also say that he was extremely reasonably priced, almost to the point where I felt I should pay him more but I guess it’s because he not only came to do the work I originally needed but he also fixed my bathroom door issue (which is a big deal in a 1 bedroom condo - I only have a few doors and a couple didn’t close properly). Tory was excellent and you can bet he’ll be the first person I call to fix any lock issues in the future!!

Very disappointing. Ive never written a review before but I felt so compelled after my experience with Chicago Locksmiths. Based on the other reviews, I was shocked to be treated so poorly. I did not receive a phone call from my assigned technician until 3 hours after I first called in to the office, after being told that I would receive a call within the next 10 minutes. I had to call back another 2 times before I was even notified of a potential software issue that was allegedly causing the delay in my technicians response. Once the technician finally reached me, he gave me an ETA of an hour which totaled my wait time to 4 hours (claiming to still be at the same job that he had been at since my first call, three hours prior). Of the three people I engaged with (two phone representatives and the technician), only ONE phone representative was kind and helpful. The other one was brutish and kurt and the technician showed no empathy for my situation nor did he apologize for not even treaty me with enough dignity to give a call to in the first place. Never, ever, ever again. Thankfully I was only using their services to start my car, but had I been locked out of my home? I would never trust this company with my safety.

I had to have my locks changed due to a lost key so I called Chicago Locksmith. They were very helpful and able to get my problem resolved faster than I ever expected. Paul was the gentleman that fixed my lock for me and was wonderful. He was timely, professional, did a great job and had a wonderful personality. Price was extremely fair too. I would use them again in a heartbeat (though hopefully wont need to!) and would highly recommend if you want friendly, fair and efficient work done. Well I am back (unfortunately). Just got locked out of my place again and was in the worst mood to realize that late at night I had to wait for the locksmith and pay a ton. Kenny showed up super fast and was more than friendly which totally turned the night around. Not only did Kenny get me into my place, but he noticed that my lock was improperly on in the first place causing a safety concern. Even though it took five times longer to fix than popping the lock in the first place (due to my funky door), Kenny didnt give up until it was fixed and my place was safe. Again, I would recommend this place a million times over!

Ya son tres veces q voy para que me hagan unos duplicados. La primera vez nadie me atendió estuve como por 5 minutos y no avia ningún cliente y todos los trabajadores estaban en la oficina sentados la segunda vez estaban supuestos a ordenarme una llave y me la iban a tener lista en una semana,regrese la Tercera vez para recoger mi llave y me dicen q no la avían ordenado que les dejará mi número de teléfono para q me llamaran para confirmar mi orden ya pasó una semana y no eh recibido ninguna llamada de ellos. Y le puse una estrella porque no le puedo poner 0!!!!

As an owner of multiple rental properites throughout Chicago, these guys are a godsend. Whenever I need to have locks changed and master-keyed these are my go-to guys. We have never had a negative experience with their technicians or the work that they do. When my tenants are locked out and my maintenance personnel are unavailable, we refer them to Chicago Locksmiths and they get them back into their unit every single time. Ive even called upon them to get me back inside of my car after rushing to get my kids to school.. And they showed up within 15 minutes! Overall these guys have an excellent response time, provide professional quality services, the technicians are extremely friendly and accommodating, and I can trust them with large jobs knowing they will be completed quickly and professionally. I cannot recommend Chicago Locksmiths enough.

Told me my $30 lock from Home Depot was "high security" and the only way to open it was by drilling it which ends up breaking the lock. He didnt even attempt to pick the lock, just went straight to drilling. Locksmith drilled a hole in my lock and ended up charging me $135 and then tried to sell me a new "high security" doorknob. When I asked how much, he started with a price of about 400 and went down to eventually 200 for a "lower end" door knob. There are videos on youtube with tutorials on how to pick the lock I used in my apartment in under 10 seconds and this locksmith claimed the only way to open my door was by drilling my lock. Dont be fooled by the high rating these people have. This company made fake gmail accounts to post positive reviews. Try looking at the review history of the people who gave this place a high review. Complete scam.

After hearing praises and recommendations from friends and colleagues about Chicago Locksmith, we gave them a call and set up an appointment for a consultation. Courteous and professional from the beginning, Shay was incredibly knowledgeable and quite helpful. He took the time to explain all the options for the locks, doors and security monitors. He made us feel completely confident about the process and their services. Within a few days, the locksmiths came out and installed the locks, doors and surveillance system. WOW!
