I came to Macco last September for a paint job, because my car was rusting above my left rear tire. At the time, I was told I had a year warranty,I but I was not given specifics about my warranty. I assumed it was on the paint job, because that is the service I received. I was initially pleased with my paint job. Now, Fast forward to mid March of this year. I noticed my car was starting to rust in the same spot that it was rusting previously. I was very clear back in September that I wanted my car painted due to the rust. When I called in April, I was told that rust is like Cancer & it will come back. I was then told that I shouldve gotten that piece removed & replaced. As I told the manager, it was NEVER suggested to me that I should have this done. I dont know how I wouldve known that since I am not an expert on painting cars. I felt that I was taking my car to experts to get it painted & they shouldve known best. The manger told me that the warranty for rust was only for 3 months & to bring my car in so we can see what we can work out. When I arrived the person I spoke with came out to look at my car & said hell see what he can do but its not going to be free. At that point, I was insulted because we never discussed that it would be free to repair my car. I do not know why he made that statement. I was expecting to get an estimate as he stated over the phone. He gave me an estimate for $500 & stated that it wouldve been $650. I do not feel that was a good price, especially when I couldve gotten it done right the 1st time if the proper way was suggested to treat & paint the rust on my car. I even rented a car for a few days when my car was being painted. Now, Im back to square feeling like I wasted my money & time (on car that is 12 years old) since my car is rusting in the same spot AGAIN. My issue, besides my car now looking like it did before it got painted, is that @ the time of payment I was told that I had a one year warranty on the paint job. But, the manager decided to conveniently tell me that the warranty only covered rust for 3 months when I called in April. This was NEVER stated before & during payment. If I could give zero stars, I would.

I took my car here to get my bumper replaced and my spoiler fixed due to a rear end collision. I was told that if there was anything wrong with the work I could bring it back and theyd fix it and that they guarantee their work for at least a year. Well, I took my car to them today because I noticed gapping between the back of my car and the bumper as well as spacing between the bumper and the car on both sides of my vehicle, and cracking and separation from the car on my rear spoiler. When I took my car in and showed it to Ryan he told me that collision repairs are not covered under warranty (which is the complete opposite of what I was told initially) and that since it was so far out from the repair date I would have to pay them to repair it all over again. Why would I take it back to you guys when you didnt do it right the first time? Theres also paint on my lights that he tried to scarp off with his finger nails. When I questioned him about that shotty work he just stood there and looked at me like he didnt know what to say. Moral of the story is they did cheap work (and BTW my spoiler seems to be cracked in the exact same spots it was cracked in when I took it to them back in June. If you all completely replaced the spoiler like you were suppose to then isnt it a bit ironic that its cracked again LITERALLY in the same spots it was before I took it to you?) Ive never written reviews before on any website EVER, but after going there today and Ryan seeing how much they botched the work but had little to nothing to say I had to write one. It was written all over his face and his demeanor said it all. Now I have to go thru my insurance (hopefully theyll cover it) all over again to pay someone to correct the mistakes THIS Maaco did less than a year ago. I wish I could give this location no stars but, unfortunately that isnt an option.

Over the last year I have had 2 cars and several car parts painted by Maaco in Alsip. Sam the owner and his shop manager has always worked well with me and given me very good results for the money. I just had a 1971 Mercury Cougar Conv. painted there ( not a show car, but a very nice driver) and was overly pleased with the results. The painted color was exactly what I asked for, the clear coat shines like glass and the minor body work done looks very good. Just a note, remember, a extreme high quality paint job could run $10,000 on a show car. Sam and his team gave me a very good quality paint job for less then $2000 and it is good enough to take out and show, if I desired. The parts I had painted several months ago, color matched well and also had a nice smooth clear coat applied. Over all, I am very pleased with this Maaco and would highly recommend it. Scott

My experience with Sam and Chris his son was a Quality learning experience about body and fender repair. I wanted my whole car painted and when it was done it looked better than when I first bought it. What I brought them was a car with much body work needed. I was very, very curious because many area shops wouldnt touch it. When they told me they would do the work I was hesitant. What they did was take an eyesore and created a new car for me. I was so surprised at the way my car turned out I can honestly say "Take your car to Maaco on Ridgeland you will not be dissapointed" Thank you very much!!! MIKE.

i love this place this father and son team is the best I was priced $800 from one place for a small dent in my car that came from getting hit with a shopping cart then I came to maaco and the father charged me 480 with tax plus fixed a dent on the back bumper .the father also took me to get a renter car without a problem.. Whenever I have something wrong with my car I will always go her first!!!!!

I had a 2003 Dodge Cargo Van that I wanted to get repainted. I took it down to Maaco in Alsip - and Sam and his team were very knowledgeable and eager to help me out. The overall experience was great, they gave me very competitive price, and the truck looks new!!! It took less than a week to get all the rust off and breathe new light into an old cargo van!
